From the 14,205 products entered into Great Taste 2022, just 241 items gained a coveted 3-star award. That’s just 1.7% of the overall intake and it shows just how hard it is to make the grade. In 2022, Great Taste has continued to grow as it seeks to discover the best food & drink on the planet. That does not mean the robust process has changed. No product leaves the judging room without being blind-tasted by multiple teams. And this rigorous method required 90 days-worth of judging sessions to tackle a record number 14,205. Some 500 judges were deployed – including food critics, chefs, restaurateurs, retail buyers, and journalists – for this mammoth undertaking.Andnow,the results are in. In total, 4,078 products were awarded a 1-star, and there were 1,237 2-star winners. But just 241 items gained the coveted 3-star award. That last bracket is the focus of this publication, and you can read more about each one, and what the judges thought about them, right here.
