Once upon a time, there was a little boy by the name of John, who was born blind. He lived at a small town with his father, mother and sister. He never appreciated anything that his family did for him. One day his mother gave him food with a chicken drumstick.
He took his plate, touched his food and started complaining. His mother asked. “John what’s the matter? What are you complaining about?” John answered. “Oh! So, you gave yourselves full chicken each and give me just a drumstick!”
During super, the following day, his mother gave
him full chicken and watched his reaction. He took his plate, touched the chicken and immediately started complaining again. His mother asked him. “John what’s the matter? What are you complaining about now?” John answered. “Oh! so you gave yourselves a sheep each and you give me only a chicken!”
The following week, the family decided to slaughter a sheep for him. When he
tasted the mutton he started complaining: “Oh! so you slaughtered for
yourselves a cow, each and you give me just a sheep!
His mother sad him down and told him that he
should learn to appreciate most things because there are many children out there, who sleep with empty stomach but appreciate the little that they have. John felt sorry for his behaviour and asked for forgiveness from his mother.
