Role of IT crucial in transparent & accountable governance: CM Gehlot

Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot said on Monday that the state govt is working with commitment to provide sensitive, transparent and accountable good governance to the people. “Information technology plays an important role in this. Former PM Rajiv Gandhi dreamed of connecting the country to the 21st century through IT,” Gehlot said while addressing a program organized on the occasion of IT Day on Monday. He said that due to the policies of the state government, the region has emerged as a leading state in the field of IT today. Over 1 lakh participants from 60 countries are taking part in the hackathon. The Chief Minister interacted with the participants and encouraged them.

Meanwhile, through VC, CM laid the foundation stone of the Rajiv Gandhi Knowledge Service and Innovation Hub, Jodhpur, to be pre- pared at a cost of Rs 200 crore. CM Ashok Gehlot launched the Chief Minister’s Dependent Service Scheme on this occasion.
