‘CENTRE SHOULD ENACT A LAW TO PROVIDE SOCIAL SECURITY’

Gehlot said that food safety, notification and punishment powers were given by the previous govts in the country by enacting laws. “RTI Act was implemented first in the state. The state govt has implemented OPS for employees. This has given them a sense of security towards their future. Today the Central govt should provide social security to the common man. In many democratic countries this is being provided through legislation,” he said.

The programme started with the national anthem. More than 30 dignitaries from across the district were honoured with shawls and were presented mementos.

Addressing the event, Jat said that the First India News has a unique place in the world of news. “Under the leadership of Channel Head Jagdeesh Chandra, First India has always been on the pinnacle of success. Reporting every moment and going to the bottom of the news to bring the truth to the common people. Apart from this, First India has always worked for social concerns. Chandra’s assessment is always accurate, be it political analysis or the upheavals,” he said.
