Transparent, modern architecture that blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors brings brightness to public and private spaces. Depending on the season and use, large windows and glass fronts need sensible and efficient options for the blocking of light and for protection against heat and glare. Fischbacher 1819 offers a varied range of light-blocking fabrics with custom textile solutions available for the perfect interior.
Our blackout textiles guarantee the complete blocking out of light in a room, at any time of day thanks to a special multi-layer acrylic coating in which light cannot penetrate. Our range of dimouts have a softer drape than coated blackout fabrics and provide approximately 97-99 per cent light-blocking, produced by a three-layer structure woven on a dense black warp.
Designed for the needs of offices and homes
Fischbacher 1819’s light-blocking fabrics are available in various aesthetics, structures, finishes and widths from 140 to 300 cm. Most are also flame-retardant. Our ranges can be made into curtains or panels and can be used on their own, or as a lining fabric. They can also be combined with a transparent daytime curtain. Ideal for private residences interiors such as childrens nurseries and bedrooms, alongside hotels, spas, clinics, restaurants and conference centre, light-blocking fabrics can even be used as dividers in meeting rooms and spaces.
