Grande Thangka dai colori tenui con dominanze verdi, raffigurante il Lokapāla custode del nord Vaiśravaṇa. Accovacciato su di una catena montuosa stilizzata, tiene nella mano sinistra una mangusta (nakula) che emette dalle fauci pietre preziose e nella destra uno stendardo (dhvaja). La splendida armatura che lo caratterizza é abbellita centralmente dalla testa di un drago finemente realizzata. A large Thangka in soft greenish tones depicting Lokapāla Custodian of the North Vaiśravaṇa. Crouching over a stylised chain of mountains, he holds in his left had a mongoose (nakula) from the jaws of which precious stones come forth and in the right a banner (dhvaja). 2 Thangka raffigurante Guhyasamaja Cina/Tibet, XVIII-XIX secolo Dim. (hxl) 78,5 x 55,5 cm

Raffinata Thangka raffigurante una delle tre forme della divinità meditazionale Guhyasamāja (Gsaṅ-ḥdus mi-bskyod-pa). In questa particolare variante dalla pelle blu prende il nome di Akṣobhyavajra, ed é caratterizzata da sei braccia e da tre volti di colori ed espressioni differenti, ognuno dei quali dotato di terzo occhio. Nelle sue mani stringe: una spada, un gioiello, la ruota della dottrina ed un germoglio, mentre le due principali tengono un Vajra ed una Ghaṇṭā, ed al contempo stringono al suo petto la compagna dalla pelle verde. Dotata anch'essa di tre volti, di cui due visibili, mostra sei braccia le cui mani portano quattro ulteriori attributi, simili a quelli del suo consorte. Intorno alla coppia sono rappresentate ai lati e nella parte alta, venti figure simili tra di loro ma dal colore della pelle differente. In basso invece sono ritratte dieci figure irate. Da notare come tutti i personaggi secondari di questa composizione sono dotati di tre volti e sei braccia. An elegant Thangka depicting one of the three forms of the mediation deity Guhyasamāja (Gsaṅ-ḥdus mi-bskyod-pa). In this particular blueskinned variant he takes the name of Akṣobhyavajra and is characterised by six arms and three faces of differing colours and expressions, each with a third eye. In his hands he holds a sword, a jewel, the doctrine wheel and a bud, while the two principal arms hold a Vajra and a Ghaṇṭā, and he embraces his green-skinned companion. She also has three faces, two of the three are visible, and six arms with which she holds the same attributes as her consort. Twenty similar figures are featured above and to the side of the couple, with different coloured skin. In the lower section there are ten irate figures. 3 Thangka raffigurante il "Campo del Rifugio" Tibet, fine XIX secolo Dim. (hxl) 69 x 50 cm

Grande Thangka raffigurante il Campo del Rifugio (o anche detto Campo di Accumulo) della scuola Gelug-pa. All' interno della composizione vi é rappresentato un vasto pantheon di personaggi, suddiviso in quattro gruppi principali: uno superiore, composto da entità serene e figure religiose storiche, due laterali che ritraggono prevalentemente personaggi in abiti ecclesiali, ed uno, il maggiore, che é sostenuto da un bellissimo tronco d'albero che nasce da acque fluttuanti, il quale ospita vari tipi di esseri: irati, sereni e storici. Si può notare tra di essi l'intero gruppo degli Arhat. Al centro della pittura, rappresentato in dimensioni notevolmente più grandi, é seduto il Maestro Tsoṅ-kha-pa (Rje rim-po-che) circondato da un'aureola ornata di peonie fiorite. E' accompagnato da due fiori di loto che ospitano i suoi attributi distintivi, una spada fiammeggiante ed un libro. Al suo petto in un cerchio dorato vi é ritratto l' Ādibuddha Vajradhara legato alla sua consorte. Da notare la raffinata e ben conservata realizzazione dell'intera opera. Thangka depicting the Refuge Field (also called Field of Accumulation) of the Gelug-pa School. A vast pantheon of characters is depicted, divided into four main groups: an upper section, composed of serene historical and religious figures, two lateral sections with figures mainly portrayed in ecclesiastical robes, and one, the largest group, supported by a splendid tree trunk that arises out from billowing waters, which hosts various kinds of figures: irate, calm and historical. Of note is the entire group of the Arhat. In the centre of the painting, represented in considerably larger dimensions, is the seated figure of Master Tsoṅ-kha-pa (Rje rim-po-che) surrounded by an aureola adorned with blooming peonies. He is accompanied by two lotus flowers that host his distinctive attributes, the flaming sword and a book. There is a golden circle at his chest where Adibuddha Vajradhara joined to his wife is portrayed. Also of note is the fine and well-preserved nature of the whole work. Raffinatissima Thangka raffigurante il Maestro Padmasambhava (Padma-ḥbyuṅ - VIII secolo). Ritratto qui di tre quarti in una delle sue rappresentazioni canoniche come "Re del Loto", porta come attributi un tamburo ḍamaru ed uno specchio (darpaṇa). La condizione regale in questa particolare composizione, gli consente di sfoggiare sontuosi abiti finemente miniati con temi floreali e di sedere su di un trono dagli intricati decori. Ritratto davanti ad un palazzo reale é accompagnato da alcuni dei suoi allievi principali, anch'essi rappresentati in forma canonica. E' possibile distinguere tra di loro: Yeshe Yang, in volo e circondato da raggi multicolori, Gyalwa Chogyang, dalla tipica testa di cavallo, Tenpa Nemkha, accompagnato da un bufalo e Dorje Dudjom avvolto da fumi in movimento. An extremely elegant Thangka depicting the Master Padmasambhava (Padma-ḥbyuṅ -VIII century). Portrayed in three-quarter pose in one of his more canonical representations as the "Lotus King", he holds the ḍamaru drum and a mirror (darpaṇa) as his attributes. The superb condition of this work allows us to enjoy the finely illuminated and sumptuous robes decorated with flowers and seated on an intricately decorated throne. Portrayed in front of a royal palace he is accompanied by some of his principal followers, also represented in the canonical manner. It is possible to identify Yeshe Yang, in flight and surrounded by multi-coloured rays, Gyalwa Chogyang, with the characteristic horse's head, Tenpa Nemkha, accompanied by an ox and Dorje Dudjom wrapped in moving smoke. Thangka di raffinata fattura raffigurante una rara forma del Buddha storico Śākyamuni (Śākya-thub-pa). In questa particolare rappresentazione é nella sua posizione canonica, con la mano sinistra adagiata in grembo che tiene la ciotola per le offerte e la sinistra in posizione bhūmisparśamudrā, ma ha in aggiunta una bellissima corona che gli adorna la testa ed una veste a patchwork finemente decorata in oro che lo ricopre completamente con un ampio colletto adagiato sulle spalle. E' ospitato all'interno di una splendida pagoda anch'essa con dettagli decorati in oro, alle cui due colonne laterali sono avvolti due sinuosi draghi. Tutta la struttura é inserita in un ambiente verdeggiante che ospita cinque ulteriori personaggi secondari, tra i quali spiccano in alto Uṣṇīṣavijayā, Tārā Bianca e, all'apice dell'edificio, Amitāyus (Tshe-dpag-med Iha-dgu). An elegantly-made Thangka portryaing a rare version of the Historical Buddha Śākyamuni (Śākya-thub-pa). In this partiuclar variant he is depictied in his canonical pose with the left hand on the lap in which he holds the offerings bowl in bhūmisparśamudrā. He wear a superb crown and patchwork robe that is decorated in gold and theat covers him entirely with a wide collar over the shoulder. He is set within a splendid pagoda that is also decorated with gold detail, and the lateral columns are wrapped in two sinuous dragons. The whole structure is placed in a luxuriant setting that also hosts five secondary figures, including Uṣṇīṣavijayā, White Tārā in the upper part and at the very top of the building, Amitāyus (Tshe-dpag-med Iha-dgu). With very fine features and gold detail to the jewellery, the blue-skinned figure is portrayed standing and with legs astride and his hands crossed in vajrahūṃkāramudrā, hold a Vajra and a Ghaṇṭā. Thangka raffigurante Bhaiṣajyaguru (Sman-bla). Caratterizzato dalla pelle blu e da una sontuosa veste rossa rifinita in oro, è il principale degli otto Buddha della Medicina. In questa composizione è circondato dai suoi restanti fratelli ed è seduto in posizione padmāsana. Tiene nella mano sinistra una ciotola con erbe officinali e nella destra un tralcio fiorito. Tutte le otto figure sono attorniate da nuvole spumose ed elementi fitomorfi, creando un insieme molto aereo rafforzato nella parte bassa dalla presenza di pagode finemente realizzate. Thangka portraying Bhaiṣajyaguru (Sman-bla). Characterised by the blue skin and sumptuous red robe outlined in gold, he is the principal of the eight Medicine Buddhas. In this composition he is surrounded by his brothers and is seated in padmāsana. The left hand holds a bowl with medicinal herbs and in the right a flowering spray. All eight figures are surrounded by fluffy clouds and vegetal elements, creating an overall denser area in the lower part with finely realised pagodas. 药师佛像唐卡中国/西藏, 十八世纪

Thangka raffigurante Padmapāṇi, una versione stante del Bodhisattva della Compassione Avalokiteśvara. E' caratterizzato, oltre che dalla sua postura, da un tralcio di loto fiorito che risale sulla spalla sinistra, da gioielli sfarzosi e dalla mano destra nel gesto di esaudimento dei desideri varadamudrā. In questa particolare manifestazione meditazionale, dalla carnagione rossa, prende il nome di Shristhikantha. Ad accompagnarlo nella composizione sono ritratti altri quattordici personaggi, tredici dei quali sono divinità protettive dei punti cardinali, alcune commutate dal pantheon induista. Thangka portraying Padmapāṇi, a standing version of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Avalokiteśvara. Other than his stance, he is characterised by a spray of lotus flowers that rise over the left shoulder, by the elaborate jewellery and by the right hand in the position of granting wishes, varadamudrā. In this particular meditative manifestation with his red skin, he takes the name Shristhikantha. There are another fourteen figures in the composition, thirteen of which are protective deities of the cardinal points, some taken from the Hindu pantheon. The figure at the top of the image may well be Ādibuddha Vajrasattva. 莲花手观音像唐卡西藏, 十八至十九世纪

Raffinata Thangka raffigurante in basso a destra Maestro non identificato. Il personaggio rappresentato decentrato nell parte inferiore destra e di grandi dimensioni, é abbellito da una veste arricchita con dettagli in oro ed é in posizione di tre quarti. Il suo sguardo e le sue mani unite nel gesto di venerazione añjalimudrā, sono rivolti verso un fitto pantheon che si svolge nella parte alta della composizione. In questo gruppo é possibile distinguere il Buddha storico Śākyamuni (Śākya-thub-pa) circondato da tutti i diciotto Arhat e dai quattro Lokapāla. A sinistra spiccano invece Yamāntaka, Tārā Verde e Garuḍa. La parte bassa della pittura é occupata da un tavolo con offerte votive e religiosi in atteggiamento devozionale. Elegant Thangka portraying an identified Master in the lower right. the figure is represented off-centre and is of large dimensions, adorned with rich garments with gold detail and seen from three-quarters. This glance and jointed hands in veneration añjalimudrā, and he looks towards a dense pantheon in the upper part of the composition. It is possible to distinguish the Historical Buddha Śākyamuni (Śākya-thub-pa) surrounded by all eighteen Arhat and by four Lokapāla. To the left are Yamāntaka, Green Tārā and Garuḍa. Thangka raffigurante il Campo del Rifugio (o anche detto Campo di Accumulo) specifico della scuola Gelug-pa. Centralmente vi é ritratto il Maestro Tsoṅ-kha-pa (Rje rim-po-che) con il caratteristico copricapo giallo distintivo della sua scuola e due fiori di loto che ospitano i suoi attributi, la spada ed il libro. Intorno al Maestro vi é raffigurato un enorme pantheon suddiviso in quattro zone principali, la più grande delle quali é sostenuta da un verdeggiante albero. Da notare alla base della pittura una scritta in nero su sfondo rosso e la presenza di un forte restauro, consistente prevalentemente in un consolidamento generale dell' opera. Thangka depicting the Refuge Field (also known as the Field of Accumulation ) that is specific to the Gelug-pa School. The Master Tsoṅ-khapa(Rje rim-po-che) is portrayed in the centre with the yellow hat that is characteristic of his school and the two lotus flowers that hold his attributes, the sword and book. An enormous pantheon surrounds the Master divided into four main areas, the largest of which is supported by a leafy tree. Of note is the black writing on a red background in the lower part of the painting and the overall restoration that is a general reinforcement of the work. 皈依境唐卡西藏, 十八世纪

Rara ed elegante Thangka nello stile del Kham "Karma Gadri" raffigurante Tārā Bianca, Sita Tārā (Sgrol-dkar). La ieratica figura centrale dalla bianca carnagione siede in posizione padmāsana su di un fior di loto e mostra sette occhi, due sui palmi delle mani, due sotto la pianta dei piedi e tre sul raffinato volto che le consentono di scandagliare il mondo in cerca di chi ha bisogno di aiuto. La sua mano sinistra tiene inoltre un tralcio fiorito che risale sulla spalla, mentre la destra é nel gesto di esaudimento dei desideri varadamudrā. L'ambientazione spoglia ma serena in cui é inserita, tipica di questo stile, ospita inoltre altri cinque personaggi. All'apice della composizione siede il Buddha Trascendente Amitābha (Ḥod-dpag-med), mentre nella porzione in alto a sinistra vi é rappresentato Cittaviśrāmaṇa Avalokiteśvara una non comune forma del Bodhisattva della Compassione, vestito di una pelle di animale. A destra vi é probabilmente ritratto il XIII Karmapa Dudul Dorje (1733-1798 circa) seduto su di un trono decorato in oro. Nella parte bassa a sinistra invece é posizionata la variante bianca di Jambhala (Dzambhala dkar-po) che cavalca un sinuoso drago d'acqua, mentre a destra potrebbe essere ritratto il controverso X Shamarpa, Chudrub Gyatso (1742-1792) anche se la similitudine é più riconducibile agli attributi che stringe (Ghaṇṭā e Vajra) che al suo aspetto fisico. A rare and elegant Thangka in the Kham "Karma Gadri" style depicting the White Tārā, Sita Tārā (Sgrol-dkar). The central solemn whiteskinned figure is seated in padmāsana on a lotus flower and has seven eyes, two in the palms of the hands, two under the feet and three on the elegant face that allow her to hear who needs her throughout the world. Her left hand holds a flowering branch that rises from her should whilst the left is in a gesture of granting wishes varadamudrā. The bare yet calm setting, typical of this style, contains another five figures. In the apex of the composition sits the Transcendent Buddha Amitābha (Ḥod-dpag-med), whilst in the upper left is Cittaviśrāmaṇa Avalokiteśvara, an unusual form of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, wearing an animal skin robe. To the right is probably the 13th Karmapa DudulDorje (1733-1798 circa) seated in a gold-decorated throne. In the lower left area is the white variant of Jambhala (Dzambhala dkar-po) astride a sinuous water dragon, and to the right it may well be the controversial figure of the 10th Shamarpa, Chudrub Gyatso (1742-1792) even though the similarity is more thanks to his attributes (Ghaṇṭā and Vajra) than to his physical aspect. Raffinata Thangka dalla notevole qualità pittorica raffigurante Nāḍī-Ḍākinī (Na-ro-mkhaḥ-spyod). Di aspetto semi irato, la figura femminile dalla carnagione rossa, é in una postura di tre quarti protesa all'indietro con le gambe divaricate, i cui piedi schiacciano due cadaveri. Vestita solo di un perizoma, porta una collana di teschi e tiene nelle sue mani una kapāla ed una kartika. Appoggiata alla sua spalla sinistra vi é la lunga bacchetta magica khaṭvāṅga. E' inserita inoltre in un’aureola fiammeggiante ed é accompagnata da cinque personaggi secondari tra i quali si può notare in alto il maestro Milarepa, Kālacakra (Dus-kyi-ḥkhor-lo) legato alla sua consorte e il Mahāsiddha Damarupa. An elegant Thangka of fine pictorial quality depicting Nāḍī-Ḍākinī (Na-ro-mkhaḥ-spyod). With a semi-irate expression, the red-skinned female figure is portrayed with legs astride and in a three-quarters view, her feet squash two corpses. Dressed only in a loincloth, she wears a necklace of skulls and holds a kapāla and a kartika. A long magic rod, the khaṭvāṅga, rests on her left shoulder. She is set within a flaming aureola and is accompanied by five secondary figures, including the master Milarepa, Kālacakra (Dus-kyi-ḥkhor-lo) joined to his consort and the Mahāsiddha Damarupa. 空行母像唐卡西藏, 十八至十九世纪

Raffinatissima e splendidamente eseguita Thangka raffigurante il Buddha trascendente Amitābha (Ḥod-dpag-med). Inserito in un'ambientazione spoglia ma serena di influenza cinese, siede in posizione padmāsana su di un trono abbellito da fiori di peonie. Sorregge tra le sue mani unite in grembo la ciotola delle elemosine ed é caratterizzato dal suo tipico colore rosso di pelle. Fanno parte della composizione altri sei personaggi. In alto da sinistra verso destra vi sono rappresentati: una figura storica non identificata ma sicuramente importante e dotata di poteri magici, come dimostra la bacchetta khaṭvāṅga, Uṣṇīṣavijayā (Gtsug-tor-rnam-rgyal) caratterizzata dai suoi tre volti, le otto braccia ed una piccola raffigurazione di Buddha tenuta in una delle sue mani, e la divinità di meditazione Buddhakapāla. Nella parte bassa vi sono invece raffigurati, circondati da offerte colorate, il Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara nella sua variante stante, Tārā Bianca, Sita Tārā (Sgrol-dkar) con i suoi sette occhi e Vajrapāṇi dalla pelle blu, nella sua versione serena ed eretta. An extremely elegant and superbly-made Thangka depicting the transcendent Buddha Amitābha (Ḥod-dpag-med). Set in a calm yet simple setting of Chinese influence, he is seated in padmāsana on a throne adorned with peonies. He holds the offering bowl and is characterised by the red-colour skin. There are six other figures in the composition. In the upper section from left to right are: an unidentified historic figure but certainly one with magic powers, as can be seen by the khaṭvāṅga, Uṣṇīṣavijayā (Gtsug-tor-rnam-rgyal) characterised by the three faces, the eight arms and a small representation of Buddha in one of his hand and the deity of meditation Buddhakapāla. Raffinata e rara Thangka proveniente dal Tibet dell'est che risente di una parziale influenza cinese raffigurante la rossa Yoginī, Vajravārāhī (Rdo-rje-phang-mo). Di aspetto semi irato, ha le gambe nella posizione ad arco cāpasthāna e porta nelle sue mani una kapāla ed una kartika. Appoggiata alla spalla sinistra mostra invece la bacchetta magica khaṭvāṅga. Intorno a lei sono ospitati altri quattordici personaggi, quattro dei quali sono Yoginī appartenenti alla sua classe. In basso da sinistra sono ritratte invece tre figure irate: Svayambhū-rājñī (Raṅ-byuṅ-rgyal-mo), Ajita Mahākāla (Mi-pham Mgon-po) e Vajrasādhu (Dam-can Rdo-rje-legs-pa) a cavallo di un caprone. Elegant and rare Thangka from Eastern Tibet where there is a partial Chinese influence, depicting the red Yoginī, Vajravārāhī (Rdo-rje-phangmo). Her legs are in an arch position cāpasthāna and she holds a kapāla and a kartika. The magic wand khaṭvāṅga rests on the left shoulder. Around her are fourteen other figures, four of which are Yoginī belonging to her class. In the lower left three irate figures are portrayed: Svayambhū-rājñī (Raṅ-byuṅ-rgyal-mo), Ajita Mahākāla (Mi-pham Mgon-po) and Vajrasādhu (Dam-can Rdo-rje-legs-pa) astride a goat. A rare Thangka in the eastern Tibet style of Karma Gadri, depicting a common image of Tārā, Dhanada-Tārā (Sgrol-ma nor-sbyin-ma). Richly adorned with gold jewels she shows four arms and green-colour skin. She carries a book, rosary and a flowering branch as her attributes. The fourth hand demonstrates asceticism, renouncing earth's pleasures (śramaṇamudrā). Seated on a lotus flower that emerges from a pond, she is also inserted in a minimal, natural ambience, with calmly watering animals. Distribuiti ai quattro angoli della composizione vi sono rappresentati, a partire da in alto a sinistra: Nāgasena (Kluḥi-sde - VI secolo A.C. circa) che ha come attributi una fiasca ed un Khakkhara, bastone da monaco errante, Panthaka (Lam-bsta -VI/V secolo A.C.) che ha un libro nella mano destra, Abheda (Mi-ohyed - VI/V secolo A.C.) il quale porge una Stūpa e Gopaka (Sbed-byed) anch'esso con un libro tra le sue mani. Elegant Thangka portraying the Historic Buddha Śākyamuni (Śākya-thub-pa). With a gold-coloured complexion, he is in his classical pose, the left hand holds the offerings bowl pātra. He is surrounded by eighteen Arhat, and flanking him standing are his two principal disciples, Śāriputra and Maudgalyāyana. The lower part of the composition is filled with four Lokapāla, whilst above and below the central figures is Mañjuśri who brandishes the flaming sword (khaḍga) and the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Avalokiteśvara who, in this particular form has four arms and takes the name of Ṣaḍakṣari-Lokeśvara. Raffinata Thangka raffigurante il Bodhisattva della Compassione Avalokiteśvara, che, rappresentato nella sua postura stante, prende il nome di Padmapāṇi. In questa particolare forma, dalla carnagione rossa viene anche chiamato Shristhikantha. Di elegante raffigurazione mostra un tralcio di loto fiorito che risale sulla spalla sinistra e la mano destra nel gesto di esaudimento dei desideri varadamudrā. E' abbellito da gioielli finemente realizzati ed una corona con al culmine un piccolo Amitābha (Ḥod-dpag-med). Di notevole fattura sono anche i decori del suo leggero peplo. Intorno ad esso, posizionati in cerchio, sono rappresentati quindici personaggi di difficile identificazione, alcuni dei quali potrebbero essere dei protettori dei punti cardinali. In this particular form with red complexion he is also called Shristhikantha. Rara Thangka in seta finemente lavorata a mano a tecnica mista, parzialmente in patchwork e parzialmente ricamata. L'intera composizione é impreziosita da filati d'oro e da toni tenui che vertono all'azzurro ed all'arancio spento. Vi é ritratto probabilmente il Maestro Jamgon Ngawang Gyeltsen (1647-1732) seduto su di un sontuoso trono in posizione padmāsana. Ha davanti un basso tavolo con strumenti liturgici, tra i quali é possibile notare un tamburo Damaru ed una campana Ghaṇṭā con Vajra, mentre le sue mani sono nel gesto di avviamento della ruota della dottrina dharmacakrapravartanamudrā. La composizione é inoltre arricchita da altri sette personaggi tra i quali é possibile distinguere alla sinistra, Devī (Dud-sgol-ma) dotata di quattro braccia ed a cavallo di un asino selvatico, e a destra, Tseringma, una delle cinque sorelle di lunga vita. In basso vi é ritratta probabilmente una versione di Sarasvatī. Di notevole importanza é anche l'originale cornice in broccato decorata con pipistrelli stilizzati e l'inserto nella parte bassa raffigurante un drago. A rare mixed technique handmade silk Thangka, partially in patchwork and partly embroidered. The entire composition is embellished with gold thread and soft blue and dull orange tones. It is most probably the Master Jamgon Ngawang Gyeltsen (1647-1732) who is portrayed seated on a sumptuous throne in padmāsana. Before him is a low table with liturgical instruments on it, including a Damaru drum and a Ghaṇṭā con Vajra bell; whilst his hands are in the gesture to set turning the wheel of the doctrine dharmacakrapravartanamudrā. The composition is further heightened by other seven figures including from the left, a four-armed Devī (Dud-sgol-ma) astride a wild ass and to the right, Tseringma, of the five sisters of longevity. The lower area probably portrays a version of Sarasvatī. of noteworthy importance is the original brocade frame decorated with stylised bats a dragon in the lower area. Importante Thangka raffigurante probabilmente il Maestro della scuola Gelug-pa, Sonam Choglang (1438-1505), che secondo il sistema di numerazione adottato alla fine del XVIII secolo, risulterebbe il secondo Panchen Lama. E' qui ritratto in una composizione che lo rappresenta di frequente. Seduto su di un largo cuscino, é avvolto da sontuose vesti finemente decorate in oro e sfoggia il tipico copricapo giallo caratteristico della sua scuola. La sua mano destra é immersa negli abiti, mentre la sinistra é nel gesto di comprensione ciñcihnamudrā. Rappresentato in dimensioni più grandi rispetto alle altre figure presenti nella composizione, é inserito in un bellissimo paesaggio ricco di montagne, corsi d'acqua e nuvole. Sotto di lui due piccoli personaggi stendono un lungo tessuto multicolore, mentre in basso a destra vi é ritratta la figura femminile irata Rematī. In alto a destra a soprintendere tutta l'opera, seduta ed abbracciata alla sua compagna vi é una figura non identificata la quale potrebbe essere una varietà di Heruka. An important Thangka that probably depicts the Master of the Gelug-pa school, Sonam Choglang (1438-1505), who according to the numbering system adopted in the late 18th century would be the second Panchen Lama. He is portrayed in in the usual way, seated on a wide cushion and wrapped in sumptuous garments finely decorated in gold and he wears the typical yellow hat, characteristic of the school. His right hand is under the garments and the left is in the gesture of understanding ciñcihnamudrā. He is larger than the other figures in the composition and is inserted into a lovely landscape setting with mountains, streams of water and clouds. Under him two figures lay out a long piece of multicoloured fabric, whilst to the left and right is the irate female figure Rematī. To oversee the composition in the upper right is an unidentified figures embracing his companion, he could be a variant of Heruka. 21 Mandala dedicato a Cakrasamvara Tibet, XIV-XV secolo Dim. (hxl) 51,5 x 42,5 cm

Importante Maṇḍala raffigurante come figura centrale dalla pelle blu, Cakrasaṁvara (Ḥkhor-lo-sdom-pa). E' qui ritratto legato in yab-yum alla sua rossa compagna Vajra-yoginī, mostra dodici braccia, ognuna dotata di attributi e quattro facce di diversi colori. Intorno alla coppia si dispiega la fitta struttura del Maṇḍala con i suoi quattro cancelli. All'interno del quadrato principale vi sono raffigurati otto canali, ognuno dei quali ritrae quattro piccole figure, mentre nel cerchio esterno vi é una densa rappresentazione di simboli votivi e chimere marine Makara. L'anello esterno mostra invece piccoli personaggi e scene miniate. Esternamente sono ritratte agli angoli, quattro figure più grandi probabilmente varianti di Cakrasaṁvara. A chiudere il quadrato sono presenti due ordini, uno in alto con probabilmente diciannove personaggi religiosi, e l'altro in basso che ospita circa quindici piccole figure irate. Da notare l'elevata qualità pittorica dell'opera nonchè la sua rarità.

Mandala dedicated to Cakrasamvara Tibet, 14th-15th Century Dim. (hxl) 51,5 x 42,5 cm

An important Maṇḍala depicting the blue-skinned figure in the centre, Cakrasaṁvara (Ḥkhor-lo-sdom-pa). He is portrayed in yab-yum with his red-skinned companion Vajra-yoginī, and presents twelve arms, each holding an attribute, and four different-coloured faces. Around the couple is the dense structure of the Maṇḍala with its four gates. Within the main square are eight canals each portraying four small figures, whilst in the external circle is a dense representation of votive symbols and marine chimeras Makara. The external ring has small figures and illuminated scenes. In the external corners four figures are portrayed who are probably variants of Cakrasaṁvara. To close the square are two orders one in the upper part with probably nineteen religious figures and in the lower section circa fifteen small irate figures. Grande e raffinata Thangka raffigurante Viśvabhū (Saṅs-rgyas Thams-cad-skyobs) uno dei sette Buddha Antecedenti. Magistralmente realizzata e dal volto sereno, la figura é abbellita da una sontuosa veste arricchita da dettagli in oro e dalla pelle dorata. Le sue mani sono nel gesto di avviamento della ruota della dottrina, dharmacakrapravartanamudrā, mentre le sue gambe, in posizione padmāsana, poggiano su un bellissimo fior di loto, il cui lungo gambo si staglia ed emerge da eleganti onde in movimento che ospitano quattro Nāgarāja ed animali fantastici. Tutta la composizione, che ha come tono principale l'azzurro, risente dell'influenza pittorica cinese, con spazi dilatati e ariosi. All'interno è ospitata una cinquantina di personaggi tra i quali in basso risaltano Tārā Verde, Śyāma Tārā (Sgrol-ljaṅ) ed una figura irata apparentemente simile a Vajrapāṇi (Phyag-na-rdo-rje) ma che stringe un arco al posto del Vajra. A large elegant Thangka depictingViśvabhū (Saṅs-rgyas Thams-cad-skyobs), one of the seven Antecedent Buddhas. Magisterially realised with a calm face, the figure wears a sumptuous robe with gold detal and with gold-coloured skin. His hands are in the gesture of turning the doctrine wheel, dharmacakrapravartanamudrā, while his legs are in padmāsana, resting on a splendid lotus flower, the stalk of which emerges from elegant waves that hold four Nāgarāja and fantastic animals. The whole composition, that is of blue tones, shows a Chinese pictorial influence with the wide airy spaces. The inside hosts around fifty other figures including in the lower area Green Tārā, Śyāma Tārā (Sgrol-ljaṅ) and an irate figure rather similar to Vajrapāṇi (Phyag-na-rdo-rje) but who holds an bow instead of a Vajra. Thangka di elevata qualità pittorica, con rappresentato al centro un Maṇḍala dedicato al Bodhisattva della Compassione Avalokiteśvara. In questa particolare forma caratterizzata da undici teste e cento braccia prende il nome di Sahasra-bhuja Lokeśvara (o Sahasra-bhuja Ekâdashamukha). L'ultima delle sue teste é quella del Buddha Trascendente Amitābha (Ḥod-dpag-med), di cui é emanazione. Intorno alla figura centrale del Maṇḍala sono ospitati i rimanenti quattro Buddha Trascendenti: Akṣobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amoghasiddhi e Vairocana, ognuno dei quali raffigurato con il loro colore distintivo. Esternamente al Maṇḍala nella parte superiore, vi sono ritratti trentuno personaggi prevalentemente religiosi, abbelliti da vesti riccamente decorate in oro e dai volti finemente miniati. Tra di essi é possibile distinguere il settimo Dalai Lama (Kèlzang Gyatsò, 1708-57). Nella parte bassa della composizione son rappresentati sette ulteriori figure, tra le quali spiccano, Tārā Bianca, Tārā Verde, Rematī, Hayagrīva e Mahākāla. A Thangka of fine pictorial quality with a central Maṇḍala dedicated to the Bodhisattva of Compassion Avalokiteśvara. In this particular form, characterised by eleven heads and one hundred arms, he takes the name Sahasra-bhuja Lokeśvara (or Sahasra-bhuja Ekâdashamukha). the last of his heads is that of the Transcendent Buddha Amitābha (Ḥod-dpag-med), of whom he is a manifestation . Around the central figure of the Maṇḍala are the other four Trascendent Buddhas : Akṣobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amoghasiddhi and Vairocana, each depicted in its individual colour. Above the Maṇḍala, thirty-one, above all religious figures, are portrayed wearing richly decorated gold-embellished garments with finely illuminated faces. Grande Thangka a colori accesi raffigurante la figura irata Mahākāla, che in questa particolare manifestazione a sei braccia, prende il nome di Ṣaḍbhuja, il difensore della sapienza. Abbellito da grandi gioielli ed orecchini porta una collana di teste di cadavere ed una pelle di elefante tesa dietro la schiena. Brandisce come attributi, un tamburo ḍamaru, un tridente, un mālā di teschi ed un laccio, mentre nelle mani frontali avvicinate al petto porta una kapāla fumante ed una kartika. Avvolto completamente da un’aureola infuocata schiaccia sotto di se il dio elefantino Gaṇapati che in questa particolare composizione prende anche il nome di Vināyaka. Intorno alla figura centrale è rappresentato un grande pantheon di personaggi secondari (trentadue) per lo più irati, eccetto alcune figure nella porzione superiore tra le quali centralmente si può distinguere l'Ādibuddha Vajradhara. A large brightly-coloured Thangka depicting the irate figure Mahākāla, who in this particular manifestation with six arms, takes the name of Ṣaḍbhuja, the defender of knowledge. Adorned with large jewels and earrings, he wears a skull necklace and has an elephant skin stretched out behind his back. His attributes include a ḍamaru drum, a trident, a skull mālā and a lasso, whilst the hands nearest the front hold a smoking kapāla and a kartika. Entirely wrapped in a flaming aureola he flattens the elephant god Gaṇapati under him, who in this variant takes the name Vināyaka. This is a large pantheon of secondary figure around the central character (thirty-two) mostly irate figures except some in the upper section, including Ādibuddha Vajradhara. 大黑天像唐卡西藏, 十九世纪

Colourful Thangka depicting the red Hayagrīva (Rta-mgrin) in his winged six-arm variant. Characterised too by three different-coloured irate faces and a horse that comes out from his hair, and his blue-skinned companion who grasps his sides. Both figures hold a kapāla as their attribute. In his other hands, Hayagrīva holds a sword, lotus flower, a spur, mace and lasso. Another eleven irate figures are portrayed around the couple, including in the lower right the most eccentric figure could possible be the god of the planets Rāhu. Thangka in stile nak-thang a fondo nero, caratteristico delle figure irate, raffigurante probabilmente l'entità femminile feroce Rematī (Dmagzor-ma). La sua identificazione non é certa a causa del consumo e dell'età dell'opera. A cavallo di un asino selvatico tiene nella sinistra una kapāla fumante mentre nella destra probabilmente uno scettro terminante con un mezzo Vajra. Ad accompagnarla nella composizione sono rappresentati molti personaggi divisi prevalentemente in due gruppi, nella parte alta si notano figure storiche religiose, mentre in basso vi é rappresentata una cavalcata di una ventina di personaggi. Da notare, quasi invisibile, un personaggio di dimensioni maggiori che affianca a destra Rematī. The Thangka in brownish tones is legible but has undergone some overall restoration to strengthen the work on the rear and some old touching up of the colours on the front. Thangka depicting the Buddha of the future Maitreya (Byams-pa). This paradise is extremely abundant and extravagant with elegant gold detail. There are forests, water, and detailed pagodas and a numerous pantheon of secondary figures. In questa particolare composizione è inserito in una pagoda magistralmente realizzata, con dettagli in oro che ne esaltano l'architettura. Tutta la pittura ha come base il blu del tessuto che richiama il colore stesso della carnagione del Buddha, il quale tiene nelle mani una ciotola ed un tralcio con boccioli di loto. A Thangka clearly showing the fusion of Buddhist and Hindu styles in Nepal. For this non-canonical representation the central figure has not been identified but he is similar in stance, multiple faces and arms and in the joining together with his consort in yab-yum, to Cakrasaṁvara. A Thangka of folk production, depicting the female deity of wellbeing, Vasudhārā. She is characterised by the yellow complexion and six arms holding a rosary, a book (probably the Prajñāpāramitā), a jewel, an ear of rice and a kalaśa, the sixth arm is in the gesture of varadamudrā. La figura ritratta, in virtù di questa fusione, non é immediatamente riconducibile a rappresentazioni iconografiche canoniche. Potrebbe però trattarsi di una particolare rappresentazione dalla pelle rossa di Avalokiteśvara denominata Shristhikantha, qui ritratto in una variante con sedici volti e svariate braccia. Regolamento Vendere Valutazioni gratuite Florence Number Nine con i suoi esperti è a disposizione di chiunque per una valutazione gratuita dei propri oggetti ai fini d’asta. La stima può avvenire, previo appuntamento telefonico, presentando gli oggetti nella sede di Via Poggio Imperiale n.9, ovvero inviando idonea documentazione fotografica corredata di tutte le informazioni utili alla stima dell’oggetto.

Mandato per la vendita Qualora il proprietario decida di conferire a FNN l’incarico di vendere i propri oggetti in asta, alla loro consegna verrà invitato a sottoscrivere un “mandato a vendere”, di cui riceverà copia, contenente la lista degli oggetti da mettere in asta, i prezzi di riserva per ciascuno di essi determinato, l’importo della commissione pattuita e gli eventuali costi per assicurazione, foto, trasporto ed ogni altra spesa che si rendesse necessaria. Il Mandante-Venditore dovrà inoltre fornire il proprio codice fiscale ed esibire un documento d’identità per l’annotazione sui registri di P.S. come previsto dalle vigenti leggi in materia.

Riserva È l’importo minimo (al netto delle commissioni) stabilito dal venditore al di sotto del quale l’oggetto affidato non può essere venduto. Detto importo è strettamente riservato e non viene rivelato dal Banditore in Asta. Qualora il prezzo minimo non venga raggiunto, il lotto risulterà invenduto e l’oggetto verrà ritirato dall’Asta.

Commissioni Sui lotti venduti è dovuta dal Mandante-Venditore alla Casa d’Aste una commissione sul prezzo di aggiudicazione pari al 15% previo accordo tra le parti. Su tale commissione è dovuta dal venditore l’IVA come per legge.

Diritto di seguito Il D.lg 118/2006 ha previsto per gli autori di opere e di manoscritti ed i loro eredi il c.d. diritto di seguito, cioè il diritto ad un compenso sul prezzo di ogni vendita, successiva alla prima, dell’opera originale. Detto compenso, dovuto nel caso il prezzo di vendita sia pari o superiore ai € 3.000, è determinato nella misura che segue: 1. 4% per la parte del prezzo di vendita compresa tra € 3.000 ed € 50.000; 2. 3% per la parte del prezzo di vendita compresa tra € 50.000,01 ed € 200.000; 3. 1% per la parte del prezzo di vendita compresa tra € 200.000,01 ed € 350.000; 4. 0,5% per la parte del prezzo di vendita compresa tra € 350.000,01 ed € 500.000; 5. 0,25% per la parte del prezzo di vendita superiore ad € 500.000 FNN è tenuta per legge a versare il “diritto di seguito” per conto dei venditori alla Società italiana degli autori ed editori (SIAE) e tratterrà il relativo importo dalle somme dovute al Mandante-Venditore.

Comunicazioni Prima dell’asta riceverete un prospetto con l’elenco degli oggetti inclusi con i relativi numeri di lotto e le rispettive riserve. Dopo l’asta verrà inviato l’elenco di tutti i Vostri lotti con il relativo esito. I lotti invenduti potranno essere ritirati o, previo accordo con i ns. esperti, inseriti in aste successive.

Liquidazione del ricavato Trascorsi circa 30 giorni lavorativi dalla data dell’asta, e comunque una volta ultimate le operazioni d’incasso, provvederemo alla liquidazione, dietro emissione di una fattura contenente in dettaglio le commissioni e le altre spese addebitate.

Regolamento Acquistare Come acquistare in Asta Le aste sono aperte al pubblico, la partecipazione è libera e senza obbligo alcuno di acquisto. Vengono precedute da un’esposizione dei lotti in vendita durante la quale è possibile esaminare gli oggetti e chiedere chiarimenti ai nostri esperti. Tutti gli oggetti vengono venduti “come visti”. Normalmente i lotti vengono posti in vendita seguendo l’ordine di catalogo e con il numero ad essi assegnato in catalogo. Il Battitore ha però facoltà di mutare l’ordine di presentazione dei lotti, di riunire più lotti tra loro o di separare i lotti. Il ritmo di vendita è approssimativamente di 90-100 lotti l’ora ma può variare a seconda della tipologia degli oggetti.

Registrazione Per partecipare alla gara e fare un’offerta, occorre procedere alla registrazione che potrà essere effettuata direttamente in sede oppure via e-mail. Ai partecipanti in sala verrà fornita una paletta numerata con la quale potranno effettuare le offerte.

Offerta in sala All’asta si può partecipare essendo fisicamente presenti in sala e rivolgendo direttamente al Battitore le proprie offerte di acquisto. Prima di partecipare all’asta è però necessario iscriversi e ricevere la propria “paletta”.

Offerta telefonica Si può partecipare alla gara d’asta per singoli lotti anche telefonicamente. I nostri centralinisti vi contatteranno durante l’asta, vi riferiranno le offerte fatte in sala e comunicheranno al Battitore le vostre offerte. Per usufruire di questa possibilità occorre inoltrare a FNN, entro e non oltre le ore 12 del giorno precedente a quello fissato per l’asta, apposita richiesta scritta secondo il modello predisposto. Le richieste verranno soddisfatte nei limiti del numero di linee telefoniche disponibili al momento e rispettando l’ordine di priorità nella presentazione delle richieste. È consigliato formulare già nel modulo di richiesta una offerta di acquisto nel caso che motivi tecnici ci impediscano di contattarvi telefonicamente.

Offerta scritta È possibile partecipare all’asta anche mediante offerta scritta inviando a FNN il modulo predisposto con l’indicazione del lotto e del prezzo massimo offerto. FNN parteciperà per vostro conto alla gara nei limiti del mandato conferitole. Il modulo predisposto, con allegata la fotocopia di un documento di identità, dovrà pervenire alla Casa d’Aste almeno 12 ore prima della data fissata per la gara.

Rilanci Il prezzo di partenza costituisce l’importo della prima offerta valida e la base per il successivo rilancio. L’importo del rilancio viene stabilito dal Battitore in una percentuale, generalmente del 10% dell’ultima offerta valida. In ogni caso il Battitore potrà variare l’importo dei rilanci nel corso dell’asta.

Pagamento Il pagamento dei lotti dovrà essere effettuato, in Euro, entro il giorno successivo alla aggiudicazione, utilizzando uno dei seguenti mezzi di pagamento. - contanti nei casi previsti dalla legge. - assegno circolare non trasferibile intestato a: Florence Number Nine srl - bonifico bancario presso conto da comunicare in privato. - assegno bancario solo previo accordo con la Direzione amministrativa.

Ritiro dei lotti I lotti, pagati nei tempi e modi sopra riportati dovranno essere ritirati entro 7 (sette) giorni a cura e spese dell’aggiudicatario, salvo diverso accordo con la Casa d’Aste. Per le proprietà che rimangono nei magazzini oltre detto termine, verranno applicate al compratore le spese di immagazzinaggio e, se ritenuto opportuno, di assicurazione del bene acquistato. La FNN sarà comunque esonerata da qualsiasi responsabilità in ordine alla custodia ed all’eventuale deterioramento dei lotti. FNN può, previo accordo scritto con l’aggiudicatario, curare a spese e rischio di quest’ultimo l’imballaggio ed il trasporto del lotti venduti.

Regolamento Condizioni Condizioni generali di vendita 1. Mandato a vendere – Il Mandatario Florence Number Nine S.r.l. vende all’asta, in base alle proprie condizioni di vendita, agendo in nome e per conto del Mandante-Venditore. La vendita produce effetti direttamente sul Venditore e sul Compratore, senza assunzione di responsabilità da parte della FNN salvo quelle derivanti dal mandato ricevuto. 2. Accettazione – Il Mandante-Venditore dichiara espressamente di conoscere le condizioni di vendita e di averle preventivamente accettate. 3. Commissioni – La commissione dovuta dal Mandante-Venditore al Mandatario sarà calcolata per ogni singolo contratto sulla base di una percentuale sul venduto pari al 15% previo accordo tra le parti. Su tale commissione è dovuta dal Mandante-Venditore l’IVA come per legge. 4. Riserva – Il valore degli oggetti sarà stimato in euro. Ogni oggetto sarà corredato da un prezzo minimo di vendita (c. d. riserva) fissato di comune accordo e mantenuto segreto tra il Mandante-Venditore ed il Mandatario, prezzo al di sotto del quale, salvo diverso accordo scritto, l’oggetto non potrà essere venduto. 5. Gara d’Asta – I beni verranno aggiudicati al maggior offerente ed il prezzo si intende in contanti. Non è opponibile alla Casa d’Aste il trasferimento a terzi di lotti già aggiudicati. FNN riterrà unicamente responsabile per il pagamento del prezzo l’aggiudicatario. La partecipazione all’asta in nome e per conto di terzi dovrà essere comunicata alla Casa d’Aste prima dell’inizio della gara. 6. Durante l’asta il Banditore ha la facoltà di mutare l’ordine di presentazione dei lotti, di ritirarne uno o più, di riunire più lotti tra loro o di dividerne uno in più lotti. 7. I lotti sono aggiudicati dal Battitore; in caso di contestazioni, il lotto disputato viene rimesso all’incanto nella seduta stessa sulla base dell’ultima offerta raccolta. L’offerta effettuata in sala prevale sempre sulle commissioni d’acquisto di cui al n. 13. 8. Diritti d’Asta – Alla cifra di aggiudicazione di ogni singolo lotto sono da aggiungere a carico del compratore i diritti d’asta in ragione dei seguenti scaglioni percentuali: 22% per valori fino a € 50.000,00, 20% per valori per valori eccedenti questo limite e fino a € 100.000,00 e del 18% per tutti i valori eccedenti quest’ultimo limite. Sui diritti d’asta è poi dovuta l’IVA come per legge. 9. Invenduti – Con riferimento agli oggetti andati invenduti in asta, il Mandante-Venditore concede al Mandatario, per un periodo di 45 giorni successivi alla data dell’asta, la facoltà di procedere alla loro vendita a mezzo trattativa privata. In questo caso il prezzo di vendita sarà pari alla “riserva” con una riduzione del 10% ovvero della maggior percentuale da concordarsi con il Mandante-Venditore. 10. Vendita diretta – Su incarico del Mandante la Casa d’Aste potrà procedere alla vendita diretta del bene. L’oggetto verrà offerto in vendita a prezzo fisso, senza gara d’asta. Anche in tal caso FNN agirà come mandataria con rappresentanza. Le commissioni spettanti alla Casa d’aste sono le stesse previste al precedente n. 3. 11. Catalogo – Le valutazioni riportate in catalogo, espresse in Euro, sono puramente indicative ed effettuate ai fini d’asta. Le descrizioni in esso riportate rappresentano solo un’opinione, sia pur qualificata, e non espongono la Casa d’Aste ad alcuna responsabilità. Eventuali contestazioni dovranno essere formulate per iscritto entro 8 (otto) giorni dall’aggiudicazione. 12. Esposizione pre-asta – Ogni Asta verrà preceduta da un’esposizione dei lotti. Durante l’esposizione il Direttore della vendita sarà a disposizione dei potenziali acquirenti per i chiarimenti del caso. L’esposizione ha lo scopo di consentire la verifica dello stato di conservazione e delle qualità degli oggetti posti in vendita, nonché di chiarire eventuali errori ed inesattezze riportate in catalogo. Tutti gli oggetti saranno venduti “come visti”. 13. Commissioni d’acquisto – FNN può accettare offerte d’acquisto formulate per iscritto o telefonicamente su mandato di coloro che, pur volendo partecipare alla gara d’asta, non possono essere fisicamente presenti alla stessa. In tal caso i lotti saranno acquistati al prezzo più basso consentito dalla presenza di altre offerte sugli stessi lotti e compatibilmente con le riserve registrate. FNN non si ritiene responsabile, pur adoperandosi con il massimo scrupolo, per eventuali errori in cui dovesse incorrere nell’esecuzione di offerte (scritte o telefoniche) ricevute. Nel compilare l’apposito modulo, l’offerente è pregato di controllare accuratamente i numeri dei lotti, le descrizioni e le cifre indicate. La richiesta di partecipazione telefonica sarà accettata solo se formulata per iscritto prima della vendita. Nel caso di due offerte scritte identiche per lo stesso lotto, prevarrà quella ricevuta per prima. 14. Pagamento – Il pagamento totale del prezzo di aggiudicazione e dei diritti d’asta dovrà essere effettuato entro il giorno successivo alla vendita. 15. Ritiro degli acquisti – I lotti acquistati e pagati dovranno essere ritirati entro 7 (sette) giorni a cura e spese dell’aggiudicatario, salvo diverso accordo con la Casa d’Aste. Per le proprietà che rimangono nei magazzini oltre detto termine verranno applicate al compratore le spese di immagazzinaggio e, se ritenuto opportuno, di assicurazione del bene acquistato. La FNN sarà comunque esonerata da qualsiasi responsabilità in ordine alla custodia ed all’eventuale deterioramento dei lotti. 16. Beni notificati ex L. n.1089/39 – Per gli oggetti sottoposti alla notifica ai sensi degli artt. 2,3, e 5 della legge n. 1089 del 1 Giugno 1939, gli acquirenti sono tenuti all’osservanza di tutte le disposizioni di legge vigenti in materia. L’aggiudicatario, in caso di esercizio del diritto di prelazione da parte dello Stato, non potrà pretendere da FNN o dal Venditore alcun rimborso sul prezzo e sulle commissioni d’asta già corrisposte.

Regolamento

17. Esportazione – L’esportazione dei beni culturali è disciplinata dal Decreto Legislativo del 22 gennaio 2004 per quanto riguarda l’esportazione verso i paesi Comunitari e dal Regolamento CEE n. 391/92 del 9 dicembre 1992 – come modificato dal Regolamento CEE n. 2469/96 del 16 dicembre 1996 e dal Regolamento CEE n. 974/01 del 14 maggio 2001 – per quanto riguarda l’esportazione nei paesi Extracomunitari. FNN non risponde del rilascio dei relativi permessi d’esportazione né può garantirne il rilascio. La mancata concessione delle suddette autorizzazioni non può giustificare l’annullamento dell’acquisto né il mancato pagamento del prezzo. 18. Diritto di seguito – Ai sensi del Decreto Legge n.118 del 30 Dicembre 2006 il Mandante-Venditore si fa carico del pagamento, ove previsto, del “diritto di seguito” che sarà trattenuto dall’importo netto a lui destinato dal Mandatario e che questi avrà cura di riversare alla SIAE. 19. Foro competente – Le presenti Condizioni di Vendita vengono accettate automaticamente da quanti concorrono all’asta. Per tutte le controversie è stabilita la competenza del Foro di Firenze.

Corrispettivo d’asta Corrispettivo d’asta e oneri fiscali Per ogni lotto venduto l’acquirente dovrà corrispondere a FNN una commissione d’asta calcolato in misura percentuale sul prezzo di aggiudicazione in ragione del 20% fino ad € 400,000 o del 18% per cifre eccedenti quest’ultimo valore. Su tale corrispettivo è dovuta dall’acquirente l’IVA come da legge.

Prezzo finale Pertanto il costo finale per l’acquirente sarà costituito dal prezzo di aggiudicazione maggiorato dei diritti d’asta e dell’IVA al 22% calcolata sui diritti d’asta stessi.

Vendite dirette Vendita diretta FNN può concordare con il Mandatario la vendita diretta, cioè senza gara d’asta, degli oggetti ad essa affidati. Gli oggetti verranno offerti in vendita ad un prezzo prefissato d’accordo col Mandante. La vendita produrrà effetti direttamente tra Mandatario e terzo acquirente. Nelle operazioni di vendita diretta per conto terzi, sul prezzo esposto saranno applicate le seguenti condizioni: 1 – Per le singole vendite di oggetti il cui prezzo rientri nei 50.000= Euro saranno applicate le seguenti percentuali: mandante-venditore 10% (IVA esclusa); compratore 22% (IVA esclusa) 2 – Per valori eccedenti i 50.000= Euro e fino a Euro 100.000= Euro saranno applicate le seguenti percentuali: mandante-venditore 8% (IVA esclusa); compratore 20% (IVA esclusa) 3 – Per la vendita di oggetti il cui prezzo ecceda i 100.000= Euro saranno applicate le seguenti percentuali: mandante-venditore 5% (IVA esclusa); compratore 18% (IVA esclusa).

Richiesta stime Valutazioni FNN è a disposizione di chiunque voglia sottoporre i propri oggetti d’arte o di antiquariato all’esame dei suoi esperti per una valutazione. La stima è indicativa e attribuita ai soli fini d’asta. Gli oggetti da stimare possono essere presentati all’esame dell’esperto competente direttamente in sede, previo appuntamento telefonico. È anche possibile inviare via fax o via e-mail all’attenzione dell’esperto, idonea documentazione fotografica corredata di tutte le notizie relative all’oggetto da stimare. È consigliabile utilizzare il modulo di “richiesta stima” già predisposto da FNN. Una idonea documentazione prevede fotografie nitide e dettagliate dell’oggetto ripreso da varie angolazioni con ingrandimenti relativi a dettagli importanti quali firme, marchi, mancanze ecc. Comprende l’indicazione delle dimensioni, del materiale, della provenienza ed ogni altra informazione utile, inclusi precedenti pareri od expertises eventualmente acquisiti. La risposta vi verrà inviata con lo stesso mezzo in tempi stretti, compatibilmente con la natura dell’argomento trattato (e comunque non oltre 30 giorni).

Sale mandate If you decide to entrust FNN with the sale of your object, you will be asked to sign a “sale mandate” - in duplicate - containing: a list of the objects to be sold at auction; the reserve price for each of them; the amount of FNN’s commission; any possible cost for insurance, photos, transport, etc. The seller will be asked to provide his/her tax code and identity card for recording at the P.S. registers according to the current regulations.

Reserve price The reserve price is the confidential minimum price (after commission) set by the consignor. It is strictly confidential and protected by the auctioneer. If bidding ends before the reserve is reached, the property will not be sold.

Commissions Commissions The auction house and the consignor agree on the amount of a commission, of the 15% (plus VAT) of the sold price, that the consignor will pay out to the auction house if the property is sold.

Resale right European Union’s Artist’s Resale Right Directive has introduced the right of authors of original works and manuscripts, and their heirs, to an economic interest in every sale of the work concerned, following the first - the so-called “resale right”. This royalty has to be paid when the sale price is over € 3.000,00 and it is calculated as follows: 1. 4% for the portion of the sale price from € 3.000,00 to € 50.000,00; 2. 3% for the portion of the sale price from € 50.000,01 to € 200.000,00; 3. 1% for the portion of the sale price from € 200.000,01 to € 350.000,00; 4. 0,5% for the portion of the sale price from € 350.000,01 to € 500.000,00; 5. 0,25% for the portion of the sale price exceeding € 500.000,00; Florence Number Nine is bound to pay the “resale right” on behalf of the sellers to the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers (SIAE). The right will be withheld by FNN from the amount due to the seller.

Communications Before the auction you will receive a prospectus with a list of the objects included, with the respective lot numbers and reserves. After the auction you will be sent a list of all your lots with the respective outcome. Unsold lots may either be collected or, upon agreement with our experts, included in future auctions.

Payment settlement About 30 days after the date of the sale, or after the collection of payment has been completed, we shall proceed to settlement through the issue of an invoice detailing the commissions and other expenses charged.

Terms and Conditions Buy How to buy at auction Third Party Liability. Every person on Florence Number Nine’s premises at any time shall be deemed to be there at his/her own risk. He/she shall have no claim against FNN in respect of any accident which may occur or injury, damage or loss howsoever caused, save insofar as the injury, damage or loss shall be caused by the direct negligence of FNN’s employees. Auctions are open to the public with free entrance and there is no obligation to buy. Usually an exhibition of the lots on sale will precede the auction, to let customers examine the objects. Usually the lots are sold in progressive numerical order, according to the catalogue. FNN reserves the right to change the presentation order of the lots, and to aggregate different lots or separate the objects of a lot. Normally we are able to sell 90-100 lots per hour, depending on the objects. FNN AS AGENT - Except as otherwise stated, FNN acts as agent for the seller. The contract for the sale of any auction lot (“Lot”) is therefore made between the seller of the Lot (“Seller”) and the buyer of Lot. All Lots in the Auction Catalogue are sold on a “as is and where is” basis with any defects, damages, repairs or otherwise and neither FNN nor Seller makes any representation or warranty, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or condition of the Lot or as to the correctness of description. Before buying, all buyers are responsible to check, verify and satisfy themselves or to engage their own independent experts to do so concerning the condition or otherwise of any Lot and/or for the matters referred to in the Catalogue, condition report or otherwise. Withdrawal of Lot Prior to Sale - FNN reserves the right to withdraw any Lot at any time before the Sale or during bidding. Unless otherwise announced or notified by the auctioneer at the time of sale, all bids are per Lot as numbered in the eCatalogue and no Lot shall be divided for sale. FNN has absolute and sole discretion to refuse any bid; to advance the bidding in such a manner as the auctioneer may decide; to withdraw any Lot; to determine the successful bidder in the case of error or dispute whether during or after the Sale; to cancel the Sale at any point during the Sale; and/or to reoffer and resell any Lot unsold or in dispute. If any dispute arises during and after Sale, the decision of the auctioneer is final and conclusive and the buyer cannot hold FNN and/or Seller liable therefor.

Export License and Import Tax & Restrictions It is the buyer’s responsibility to apply for any applicable export license (including CITES, handling and administrative charges or any other expenses of the competent authorities and/or service provider in connection therewith) to export out of Italy or for import license to the said place of import designated by buyer and such license can be in any name or description given by the country concerned. The fact that the buyer wishes to apply for any import or export licenses shall not in any way delay, affect or discharge the buyer’s obligation to pay within the said payment conditions nor FNN’s right to charge interest as mentioned below or storage charges for late or nonpayment/ collection.

Artist Resale right European Union’s Artist’s Resale Right Directive has introduced the right of authors of original works and manuscripts, and their heirs, to an economic interest in every sale of the work concerned, following the first - the so-called “resale right”. This royalty has to be paid when the sale price is over € 3.000,00 and it is calculated as follows: 1. 4% for the portion of the sale price from € 3.000,00 to € 50.000,00; 2. 3% for the portion of the sale price from € 50.000,01 to € 200.000,00; 3. 1% for the portion of the sale price from € 200.000,01 to € 350.000,00; 4. 0,5% for the portion of the sale price from € 350.000,01 to € 500.000,00; 5. 0,25% for the portion of the sale price exceeding € 500.000,00; Florence Number Nine is bound to pay the “resale right” on behalf of the sellers to the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers (SIAE). The right will be withheld by FNN from the amount due to the seller.

Terms and Conditions Registration A registration is needed to participate in an auction and bid. You can register directly at the auction house or via email. The attendees will be given a numbered paddle to place their bids. For higher value Lots, the buyer may be required to pay a deposit when registering to bid. You may also register to bid online through any of our live online auction providers and registration with these providers is necessary in order to bid. Details of these providers can be found on the FNN website. “FNN will not be responsible for any errors or differences in Language translations in our catalogues or communications with clients. Translations should be used as a guide only. “

Bidding in person You can participate in an auction by being physically present in the salesroom. To place a bid, you simply have to raise your paddle until the auctioneer acknowledges you. Bids start from the so called “starting price”, which is published on the catalogue (please consider that the starting price is usually lower than the lot’s estimate) You may also wish to bid online through any of our live online auction providers and registration with these providers is necessary in order to bid. Details of these providers can be found on the FNN website.

Telephonic offer You can participate in an auction via telephone. Our operators will call you during the auction, reporting the offers made in the auction room and they will communicate the auctioneer your bid. To participate via telephone you should send a written request no later than 12.00am of the day before the auction, using the form provided by FNN. The requests will be satisfied within the limits of the availability of telephone lines at the time, with precedence given to the requests in order of receipt. We would therefore recommend customers to indicate in the request an offer that FNN can make on their behalf, solely in the event of technical connection problems.

Written offer You can participate in an auction also submitting a written offer, filling the appropriate form and indicating your maximum offer for a specific lot. FNN will bid on behalf of you, according your mandate. The filled in form has to reach the auction house no less than 12 hours before the scheduled time for the auction.

Bid raising The starting price is the sum of the first valid offer and represents the base for the following bids. The auctioneer usually raises the price by 10% of the last bid. In any case, the auctioneer may vary the rate of bid raising in the course of the auction.

Payment The bought lots must be paid – in Euro - no later than the day after the sale, in one of the following ways: - cash - bank draft payable to: FLORENCE NUMBER NINE srl - wire transfer (bank details will be privately provided) - Credit Card – VISA and Mastercard

Remedies for Not - Payment If the buyer fails to make full payment as required within FNN’s conditions,FNN shall be entitled in its absolute discretion to exercise one or more of the following rights or remedies (in addition to asserting any other rights or remedies available to FNN and/or Seller by Italian and EU Law): (i) to charge interest at 1.5% per month on the sale price of the Lot in question; (ii) to hold the defaulting buyer liable for the total amount due and to commence legal proceedings for its recovery together with interest, incidental charges and expenses and legal fees and costs on a full indemnity basis and any other payments to the fullest extent permitted under Italian and EU Law; (iii) to cancel the sale of such Lot; (iv) to resell the Lot publicly or privately on such terms as FNN shall think fit; (v) to forfeit any amount placed with FNN by buyer in part payment to FNN or Seller (but this is without prejudice to FNN and Seller to claim for the balance amount due and owing by buyer); (vi) to reject at any future auction any bids made by or on behalf of the buyer or to obtain a deposit from the buyer before accepting any bids; and (vi) to take other action(s) as FNN in its absolute discretion deems necessary or appropriate. 78

Terms and Conditions Collecting your purchase Regularly paid lots must be collected within 7 (seven) days at the purchaser’s own expense and risk, except in the case of different agreement. If you are not able to collect your property within this deadline, you will be subject to handling and storage charges by FNN. FNN declines any responsibility concerning the conservation and safekeeping of the objects. Upon specific written instructions from the purchaser, FNN may, at the purchaser’s own expense and risk, arrange for packaging and transport.

Conditions Conditions of sale 1. Sale mandate – Agent Florence Number Nine srl sells at auction, at its sale conditions, acting on behalf of the Consignor-Seller. The sale acts directly on the seller and the buyer, as FNN declines any responsibility except those expressed in the subscribed mandate. 2. Acknowledgment - The Consignor-Seller acknowledges that he/she is bound by these terms and conditions. 3. Commission - The Consignor pays a commission to the agent for every single contract. This commission is 15% fixed by the parties. In addition, the Consignor has to pay IVA (VAT) according to law. 4. Reserve – The object’s value will be determined in Euro. Every object will be accompanied by a confidential minimum sale price (so called “Reserve”) agreed by FNN and the Consignor. If any bid is below this price, the auctioneer may reject the advance, and the objects itself is not sold. 5. Auction – The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the purchaser and the price is understood cash. Transferring lots that have already been assigned to third doesn’t concern FNN in any way. Only responsible for the payment of the lot is the acknowledged purchaser. Those who wish ti participate at an auction on behalf of somebody else, have to communicate it to FNN before the auctions starts. 6. During the auction the auctioneer has faculty to change the presentation order of the lots; to cancel the sale of a lot; to aggregate more lots; to split a lot into different lots. 7. The auctioneer has absolute discretion in assigning the lots; in the case of error or dispute, the auctioneer can decide to re-open the bidding starting from the highest offer acknowledged. The bid in person has always the priority on the bidding commission – see n. 13 8. Auction rights – In addition to the purchase price the buyer has to correspond FNN the following auction rights: 22% for objects sold at a price up to € 50.000,00; 20% for objects sold at a price between € 50.000,01 and € 100.000,00; 18% for objects sold at a price over € 100.000,01. In addition, the buyer has to pay IVA (VAT) according to law. 9. Unsold – If a lot is left unsold, the Consignor gives the auction house the faculty, for 45 days after the auction, to sell it on a private sale. In this case, the sale price will be equal to the Reserve price minus 10% or other price to fix in agreement with the Consignor. 10. Direct sale – If expressly requested by the Consignor, the auction house can sell a lot at a fixed price, with no bidding. Also in this case FNN acts as an agent. The commission due to the agent are the same expressed at n.3. 11. Catalogue – Evaluations reported on the catalogue, expressed in Euro, are simply indicative. The descriptions of the objects contained in it are merely an opinion, even if qualified, and the auction house declines any responsibility about them. Any complain has to be submitted in writing within 8 (eight) days from the purchase. 12. Exhibition – An exhibition of the auction property will be held prior to the auction. The sales manager will be at everyone’s disposal for any clarification. The exhibition gives opportunity to view, inspect and evaluate the property on sale, and to report inaccuracy or errors in the catalogue. All objects are sold “As is”. 13. Purchase commission – FNN accepts offers in writing or via telephone from those who cannot be present in person at the auction. In this case lots will be purchased at the lower price possible, considering other offers and reserve prices. FNN is not responsible for any mistake in conducting an offer received in writing or via telephone. While filling the dedicated form, the bidder is warmly invited to double-check the lot’s number, the description and the suggested price. Participating via telephone is allowed only if a written request has been submitted before the auction and approved by the auction house. In the event of two equal bids for the same lot, the first one that had been submitted takes priority. 14. Payment - The bought lots (and relative commissions, taxes and rights) must be payed no later than the day after the sale. 15. Collecting your purchase - Regularly paid lots must be collected within 7 (seven) days at the purchaser’s own expense and risk, except in the case of different agreement.

Notified goods ex L. n. 1089/39 – Objects that are subject to notification under artt. 2,3 and 5 (Italian) law n. 1089 June 1, 1939, purchasers are bound to act in accordance with current law. If the State exerts its right of first refusal, the purchaser will not ask neither FNN nor the Seller any refund on the price and the commissions already payed. 17. Export – The export of cultural goods within the EC is ruled by Legislative Decree - January 22, 2004 – while the export towards non-European countries is ruled by EEC regulations n.391/92 – December 9, 1992 - and further modifications. FNN is not responsible for any export permit and cannot guarantee its release. In the absence of a required permit, the purchaser cannot revoke the purchase and its related payment. 18. Resale right – According to legislative decree n.118 – December 30, 2006 – the Consignor takes charge, if provided for by law, of the so called “Resale right”, that will be withhold from the net price due by the Agent, who will take care to repay it to SIAE. 19. Competent court – The above Conditions of Sale are automatically accepted by those who take part at the auction. For any controversy, the competence belongs to the court of Florence, Italy.

Commission Auction rights and Taxes For every lot sold, the purchaser is required to pay Buyer’s Premium, that is calculated as a percentage of the hammer price at a rate of 20% up to €400,000 and 18% for figures in excess of this. On this amount, the purchaser is required by law to pay tax (IVA)

Final price The final price for the purchaser is calculated this way: acknowledged hammered price plus auction rights plus IVA 22% (calculated as described above).

Direct Sale Direct sale If expressly requested by the Consignor, the auction house can sell a lot at a fixed price, with no bidding. Also in this case FNN acts as an agent. The commission due to the agent are calculated on the shown price as follow: 1. Single object sold at a price up to € 50.000,00: 10% up to the Consignor (plus IVA); 22% up to the buyer (plus IVA). 2. Objects sold at a price between € 50.000,01 and € 100.000,00: 8% up to the Consignor (plus IVA); 20% up to the buyer (plus IVA).. 3. Objects sold at a price over € 100.000,01: 5% up to the Consignor (plus IVA); 18% up to the buyer (plus IVA).

Evaluations Evaluations Florence Number Nine auction house’s experts are at your disposal to provide estimates of your property. The estimates are simply indicative. The objects can be shown directly to the related department expert at our offices, upon phone appointment. It is also possible to submit via fax or e-mail photographic documentation of the object, together with all the basic info. We recommend to use the “Valuation request” form provided by FNN. For a better result, please submit clear photographs of the object from different angles, with enlargments and important details like signatures, stamps, etc. Don’ forget to note the size, material, technique and any other relevant information, including previous valuations or expertise. You will receive an answer by the same means as soon as possible, depending on the nature of the object itslef (however no later than 30 days).
