THE MYTH OF THE G.B.F.
INTRODUCING THE LATEST AND GREATEST ACCESSORY FOR WOMEN: THE GAY BFF. TRY TO CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.
F think.
orget the shoes and handbags, and don’t even think about diamonds—gay men are a girl’s best friend. At least, that’s what some women would like us to
No woman’s arsenal of fashionable accessories is complete without a gay bestie. Stylish, sassy and dutifully at her side, many women swear by the so-called hag code. Some even collect gay men, as if we were pre-packaged prizes in their cereal boxes. Seemingly more coveted than a Birkin bag, many women can’t wait to tuck a gay under their arms and show them off to the world. Gay men have somehow become a status symbol for many women and we are expected to go along for the ride. The gay best friend (G.B.F.) is merely an amalgamation of stereotypes assembled into a Ken doll-like projection directed unwittingly at some gay man. The G.B.F. is thought to be fashionable, silver-tongued, well-versed in entertainment and pop culture and an infallible detector of gay men in a seven-mile radius (give or take a token bisexual). It’s almost as if we are thought to have been mass manufactured

in some factory out in West Palm Beach. The myth of the G.B.F. has not only been perpetuated in popular culture thanks to any number of television series and films, it was documented in the hysterical and pointed 2013 satire G.B.F. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Well before Will & Grace tackled the myth of the co-dependent relationship between a woman and her gay BFF, gay men were seen as the Toto to their female counterpart’s Dorothy—yappy supporting players. Is it art imitating life or life imitating art? We suspect the latter. What comes off to some as an innocuous desire to befriend a queer-identified man in many ways dehumanizes them. Instead of a person, the G.B.F. most closely resembles a commodity. This problematic symbolism not only assumes that all gay men are the same, but it assumes that gay men enjoy being objectified. Friendship is a beautiful thing, especially when it comes with birthday gifts, inside jokes, Netflix binges facilitated by wine and an unyielding shoulder to cry on. However, there are a few things self-described hags should understand. We are not pets. We are not pumps. We are not purses. We are people. A word of caution, ladies: The next time you’re in the market for a fierce accessory to show off to the world, give Michael Kors a try. Thanks in advance.

with tongue-twisting lyrical onslaughts sure to convert any naysayers into believers.
he hip hop world has long been viewed as a male-dominated, homophobic playground, leaving queer-identified emcees to fend for themselves in the shadows of their more successful (and oftentimes less talented) counterparts. One of the performers that has managed to breakthrough the straightedged static is Big Dipper. The Chicago-native is known for his high-energy hysterics coupled
To commemorate his latest digital smash, Big Dipper recently released the video for the remix of his single “Vibin’.” The tune is an undisputed ode to the danceable club anthems of the ‘90s with modern techno touches thrown in for good measure. Translation: it’s the kind of nostalgia you won’t be embarrassed to crave. The colorful video showcases a bevy of Brooklynites partying away the dog days of summer. Big Dipper’s latest EP, Extra Good, is available for digital download now.

This week, video surfaced of the Foo Fighters turning the tables on one of the Kansas-based church’s protests outside of their Kansas City, Missouri show. In the face of inflammatory picket signs and a crowd of bigots, the Foo Fighters pulled up in a pickup truck blasting Rick Astley’s ‘80s classic “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

Within hours, news and photos of the costume spread like wildfire igniting outrage across social media. The Halloween retailer is standing by their product (for now, at least.)

CARLOS
Bartender Deiler Beltran, better known as Carlos, is one of the main attractions at Georgie's Alibi Monkey Bar. Not only does this cocktail-slinging Cuban cutie have massive biceps, but he has a massive heart. Here, he dishes on life in Cuba, being in love with an American and Donald Trump. Be sure to spend some of your Labor Day weekend with Carlos and enjoy his signature cocktail at Alibi. BY JAMEER BAPTISTE
Your name is Deiler, but you go by Carlos. Why? When I first got a job in Fort Lauderdale as a bartender, customers would always have trouble pronouncing my name. One day someone asked for my name and I said Carlos. Ever since then I have gone by Carlos. Tell us about what life was like growing up in Cuba. I was born in Cuba, where I lived until I was 13-years-old. Then I moved to Florida when my mom received a United States Visa and brought me, my dad and my older brother to Miami Lakes to live. After leaving Cuba at age 13, how would you describe your transition to America? Our move wasn’t bad because we had a lot of family here. It was difficult in school because of my language. You're known for your bubbly energy. How would you describe your personality? It’s hard to believe, but I’m a very shy guy. Once I’m in it, I go with the flow. I’m very fun and easy to get along with and I like to help out a lot with fundraising, especially in the gay community. You have such an active life with work and working out. How do you prioritize things? My family is my first priority as well as my boyfriend of three years, Michael Lynch. Tell us more about your relationship with Michael. We are completely different. I’m Spanish and he is American, but it works for us and we enjoy the same things. Your body is incredible. How did you develop such an amazing physique? I started training for sports at the age of 11 in Cuba. Back then, if you were in sports you could get into a better school. It became part of my life and by age 15 or 16 I started
going to the gym. With a physique like that, most people would assume that you have an incredibly strict diet. Are you a health-conscious guy? I’m not. I actually eat whatever I want. I think some of my physique is due to genetics. Any advice for others who want to develop a physique like yours? Don’t be lazy and workout. If you need motivation, picture yourself the way you want to look and surround yourself with those who have the same goals. You’re not going to change in one or two months. It takes time. If you want long-term results, then you need to work out longer. Are you a career bodybuilder? No, its just part of my everyday life. I’ve been working as a bartender for six years. First at Boardwalk for three years with a year break as a flight attendant and now at Georgie’s Alibi Monkey Bar for the past three years. Would you say that bartending is your career? I started with my bartending license and I enjoy what I do, but I know I want to do something else later on. I just don’t know what yet. What is you favorite drink to make? A cosmopolitan. It’s my favorite drink to make because it’s my favorite beverage to drink. Whenever customers ask me for whatever, I make them a cosmopolitan. My customers love it. Donald Trump recently made some outlandish remarks about the Latin community. What's your take on his controversial remarks? I think I feel like how a majority of the immigrants and Latin’s probably feel, both sad and very disappointed.

TRANNIE PALACE FINDS A NEW PLACE TO WOW THE CROWD
A
fter ten happy years, Misty Eyez and her troop of talented Trannie Palace performers have bid farewell to B. bar & Grille after the nightclub unexpectedly shutdown in August with no official statement as to why. The Wilton Manors community was shocked and baffled because as far as it went the club was thriving with great events, delicious food and award winning service. Longtime patrons of the establishment were dismayed to think that the creative performances would vanish and the lights would dim on the performers they came to adore so much over the years. But the show most go on! Trannie Palace has settled into its new home at Georgie’s Alibi Monkey Bar. “I chose Alibi because it’s a staple in the community," says Misty Eyez. "It’s centrally located in the heart of Wilton Manors and it’s really an all-round great place." Other than the location change, Trannie

Palace remains the same fun, entertaining production brought to life by a lineup of creative performers. “Misty Eyez and her entourage are a mixed group of talented artists,” says Johnny Pak, owner of Georgie’s Alibi Monkey Bar. "We are not just another bar; we give our customers lots of free entertainment and excitement too!" Since Pak purchased the restaurant and bar in November of 2014, he has renovated the interior with refreshing decor and added a Chinese infusion to the menu. And Trannie Palace isn't the only entertainment Pak welcomed from the defunct b. Bar & Grille. He has also taken over Growl, a weekly bear event, and the popular live jazz act by duo Toni and Gloria. Enjoy the Trannie Palace show every Sunday at 10:30 pm. To learn more about Georgie's Alibi Monkey Bar's other performances, visit their website at www. alibiwiltonmanors.com.

SPI NCY CLE 58
DJ Citizen Jane has quickly made a name for herself in the business. The Miami-native has brought the house down around the world, showing off her distictive open format style in places like LA, New York, Spain, Argentina, Miami and Orlando. We chatted with the 2014 Pink Flamingo Award winner for "Best DJ" about her sonic roots, her bright future and breaking through the boy's club mentality of the DJ world. WORDS BY DIEGO WYATT | PHOTOS BY DENNIS DEAN
For those who don’t know your story, tell us about how you started DJing and what inspired you to make a career out of the art form. I started in the late ‘90s. Pretty much, it was a side thing throughout college. I used to do it on the side to help me pay my way through school. Then I got together with my band, because I am a singer/songwriter as well. When my band broke up, one of the promoters in Miami that used to go out to all of my shows told me that I should get back into DJ’ing. I had just gotten out of my band stuff, so I took it from there and I continued. I haven’t stopped, I’ve just evolved in the field.
York City. Even if it’s raining, people in New York are making a line outside of the club. They don’t care if their hair is getting wet or what’s going on, they are going to the club to party. That city doesn’t stop and I love that. I do love to go out to Orlando, as well. They love going out and do it no matter what. It doesn’t matter if it’s rain or shine. They come out to have a good time on any day of the week.
I’m a little gay boy inside. What the gay boys listen to is what I love.
The DJ world is often seen as a boy’s club. Talk to us about how you’ve managed to breakthrough and achieve success in the male-dominated field. Women are breaking through now. You see a lot more women out there. It’s still hard. As a DJ, you just want to get out there. For some reason, people still want to choose the guys over the girls. I don’t know if they think guys can do it better or not. It’s all about putting your name out there. I’m doing as well as anyone else. I do the girls’ parties, the boys’ parties, mainstream straight parties and circuit events. I am getting out there and gaining respect. I guess once people see that you can really do it, you gain their respect and get hired again. This is how your name continues to be put out there. You’ve performed all around the world and, of course, each crowd is different. Which place have you enjoyed the most? Everyone has been different. I love New
If you could pick any place to perform that you haven’t visited yet, where would it be? I would love to DJ in Greece. Mykonos is one of the biggest places on the planet to DJ, as well as Ibiza. Those are future goals.
You recently performed out of the country. Tell us about that. I’ve already played in Spain and Argentina. I just hit Canada for the first time. I did Vancouver Pride, It was huge. It’s a major gay market. Next, I am doing Calgary Pride, which is huge as well. You took home last year’s Pink Flamingo Award for “Favorite DJ,” which was voted on by the local community. How did that make you feel? It was a great feeling. It’s actually coming up again this month. I am hoping to get it again. I was nominated against a few other DJs who are major international acts in the scene. DJ Abel was nominated with me. To beat him in the award was a great feeling. He was there and I told him that he is an inspiration to me. It is great that people have noticed the work that I’ve done.

DJ Citizen Jane's Remixed Summer Playlist Supercharge your labor day with jane's playlist picks
What do you listen to when you aren’t rocking crowds? I listen to Delilah on 93.1 FM. The station is full of slow grooves and slow jams. When I am in the car, that’s what I listen to. Other than that, I really love house music. It really gets me going. I’m a little gay boy inside. What the gay boys listen to is what I love.
10. Ghost Town - Adam Lambert
According to Citizen Jane, what makes someone a great DJ? The number one thing is that you have to be humble. You can’t go out there thinking you’re a diva or that you’re the best thing out there. There are millions of DJs around and everyone’s great in their own way with their own style. For me, it’s also about being friendly, approachable and taking requests. There are DJs who are only there to play what they want. You’re not going to get anywhere that way. You have to please the crowd.
9. Talking Body - Tove Lo 8. Cool For The Summer - Demi Lovato
You’re slated to perform at nearly every upcoming Pride event known to man. What do you want to do next in your career? I would love to do productions. I would also like to record my own songs and mix it up so I can do both the singing and the DJing. I’d be able to play my own songs out there and remix them. I also want to work with big artists and remix their music That’s in the works. Down the line, I might step away as far as touring. Eventually, that will get tiring as I get older, but that’s not for a while.

You always have a fantastically eclectic set with a range of music. How do you make your sets flow so effortlessly? There are some DJs that come with a playlist ready. I don’t. I have about 25,000 songs on my laptop and I’m just typing it in. I watch the crowd and scan for reactions. What is played depends on the vibe. I don’t like to stay on the same genre for too long. It gets boring. I like to mix it up so that everyone can dance. I throw in some ‘80s with hip hop. I want it all in there. People come from everywhere. I want everyone to leave happy. I want to give pleasure to the people that are there and for them to leave having had a great time.

STAND FACE IT. WE LIVE IN A WORLD OF INSTANT GRATIFICATION. ENTER HOOKUP CULTURE. THERE’S NO SHAME IN WANTING WHAT YOU WANT WHEN YOU WANT IT, EVEN IF THAT HAPPENS TO BE A STEAMY SESSION BETWEEN THE SHEETS WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED. CHECK YOUR EXPECTATIONS AT THE DOOR AS WE RUN DOWN A HANDFUL OF WAYS TO REMAIN AHEAD OF THE HOOKUP CURVE. (SPOILER ALERT: GRATUITOUS P.D.A. AHEAD) BY DIEGO WYATT

1
BE PROACTIVE. In the mood for a hot and heavy no-strings-attached session? You’re going to have to do some of the leg work. Get out there and mingle. The more guys you speak to, the more chances you have to hear “yes.”
2
BE HONEST. Chances are you don’t want this encounter to lead to a trip down the aisle. Be upfront about what you want (and what you don’t.) This way, all parties involved will know what to expect.
3
PHOTOS: TUMBLR
BE SMART. You may be on the hunt for a quick hookup, but make sure you’re using the head on your shoulders when it comes to making decisions. Steer clear of sketchy characters and make your boundaries crystal clear before heading for the door.
4
BE ADVENTUROUS. One of the best things about a one-night stand is that you (in theory) never have to see that person again. What other reason do you need to loosen up on some of your bedroom inhibitions? Spicing things up doesn't mean ditching your limits.
5
BE PREPARED. Never leave home without the necessary accoutrements for a naughty evening out. That means condoms, lube and cab fare in the event that you’re too wasted to drive home or too plastered to remember where you parked your car.

YOUTH MAY BE EVANESCENT, BUT A GOOD FACE LIFT IS FOREVER. HOPEFULLY. WE GO BENEATH THE SKY-HIGH CHEEKBONES, CHISELED CHINS AND WRINKLE-FREE FACADES TO EXPLORE WHY GAY MEN ARE AMONG FLORIDA'S FASTEST GROWING NUMBER OF PLASTIC SURGERY RECIPIENTS. IS LIFE IN PLASTIC REALLY THAT FANTASTIC? BY DIEGO WYATT
66
L
ast year, over 1.5 million cosmetic surgeries took place in the US alone, as reported by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Of this multitude, 13 percent of all procedures were carried out on men. When you add in minimally-invasive procedures like Botox, collagen and chemical peels, the number skyrockets. Do the math. What these statistics add up to is an increased number of men going under the knife.
a positive experience with a plastic surgeon, they are more likely to return for additional work and tell their friends. Cha-Ching!
Thanks to the wonders of plastic surgery, more men than ever are being tucked and plucked beyond recognition. Curiously enough, the state of Florida is one of the highest-ranking in terms of plastic surgery procedures carried out on men each year, according to the ASPS.
Calloway posits that the reason behind the consistently increasing number of men taking part in plastic surgery parallels that of women: self-esteem.
The palm tree-lined streets of the Sunshine State are paved with scantily clad men with bodies that could have been sculpted by the hands of Michelangelo. Moreover, gyms are packed with sun-kissed adonises who treat their workout regimens like second jobs. Beauty is pedestrian here and can be purchased. As such, it’s no surprise that many men go under the knife to perfect what the man upstairs didn’t and what a grueling workout schedule couldn’t. Between 1997 and 2013, the number of men undergoing plastic surgery in the US increased by 273%. This number has increased since then. A large part of this upswell is being attributed to an increased number of gay men going under the knife. While the sexual orientation of clients is not a part of the paperwork that must be completed, a number of physicians believe that a large portion of men coming in for plastic surgery are gay. By now, we’ve all been made aware of the economic prowess of the gay community. Pair that with reduced stigma thanks to a sharp increase in visibility, advancement of civil liberties and legislative victories like marriage equality. It should come as no surprise that many men who identify along the LGBTQidentifying spectrum have the means to go under the knife without the fear of backlash. Not only is there disposable income, but brand loyalty comes into play with the niche market. This means that should gay men have
“We have to go based on what we observe,” says Dakota Calloway, a spokeswoman for the ASPS as reported by the Gay and Lesbian Times. “We don’t ask if someone is gay or straight, but we’re an open-minded profession, so patients usually don’t hesitate to share their personal stories with us.”
“Often, a man is judged by his outward appearance – just as much, if not more than a woman,” Calloway says. “If he is obese, he may be perceived as lazy or incompetent at his job, because he is unable to take care of himself properly. An overly aged man may not seem appropriate for some jobs and he may have difficulty meeting single people. The point is that men seek plastic surgery for the same reasons that women do—to boost their self-esteem and allow them to appear on the outside as whom they are on the inside.” While Calloway makes a valid argument, we can’t deny that vanity is a powerful motivator as well. To aid in this process, there are a number of new and exciting cosmetic procedures seemingly ripe for the picking from which men can choose. Abdominal contouring, pectoral, bicep, tricep, chin and calf implants and butt lifts; there is a veritable body-altering buffet available for men to feast from. And let’s not forget about the old faithful face lift, nose jobs, tummy tucks and liposuction, which are among the most popular cosmetic procedures for men. Are gay men becoming the cosmeticallyaltered face of cosmetic surgery? Perhaps. What’s more intriguing, however, is the sustained buying power harnessed by the LGBT community to the tune of $850 billion which could very well factor into the shift in the cosmetic surgery arena. A sculpted torso and perfect jawline are simply icing on the cake. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but it comes with a price tag.

TEEN CHOICE
screen savor BY GREGG SHAPIRO
PHOTO: SONY PICTURE CLASSICS
THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL. For her directorial debut, actress Marielle Heller has chosen to adapt Phoebe Gloeckner’s explicit graphic novel The Diary of a Teenage Girl (Sony Pictures Classics) into a feature-length film. Like Mia in Fish Tank, Dawn Wiener in Welcome To The Dollhouse and Tracy in Thirteen, Minnie (Bel Powley) in The Diary of a Teenage Girl is on a collision course with self-discovery and self-destruction. Set in 1976 San Francisco, complete with Sheaffer bicentennial pens, Patty Hearst in the news and wooden platform shoes, The Diary of a Teenage Girl opens on the day that Minnie, the teenage girl of the title, loses her virginity -- to her mother’s boyfriend Monroe (Alexander Skarsgård in a seventies porn star mustache). It’s such an auspicious
78
occasion that Minnie decides to keep an audio cassette diary. Pretty soon, sex and Monroe are almost all that Minnie can think about. Good thing for Minnie, she’s all Monroe’s been thinking about, too, and they begin to have sex on a regular basis. Minnie lets her schoolwork slide and ends up on academic probation. She constantly fights with her younger sister Gretel (Abby Wait). She discovers that she has heretofore undiscovered sexual magnetism with a classmate named Ricky (Austin Lyon). She doesn’t even mind when a couple of girls at school call her a slut. Mostly importantly, however, she doesn’t neglect her artwork and is constantly drawing. She even begins a correspondence with cartoonist Aline Kominsky.
Minnie and Monroe manage to keep their relationship a secret from Charlotte (Kristen Wiig). It’s relatively easy to do since Charlotte is deeply self-absorbed and spends much of her free time, when she’s not working at the library, getting drunk and stoned. Her motherly observations to Minnie include calling the girl’s best friend Kimmie (Madeleine Waters), white trash, but in a good way, since Charlotte admires her Farrah Fawcett hairdo, and encouraging Minnie to dress more suggestively to get the attention of boys. Oh, if she only knew!
PHOTO: SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT
This is serious subject matter and Heller knows it. The scenes featuring animation help to lighten the mood, and Christopher Meloni’s turn as father figure Pascal have humor. But all in all it’s nothing to laugh at. Minnie’s experimentation with lesbian Tabatha (Margarita Levieva) and ‘ludes are lewd reminders of the way queer characters used to be portrayed as predators. If you aren’t freaked by the subject matter—and some will be—The Diary of a Teenage Girl is worth seeing, especially for Powley’s extraordinary performance.
INSURGENT. Insurgent (Summit), the second installment in the Divergent series based on the Y/A dystopian novels by Veronica Roth, is the continuing (mis) adventures of Tris (Shailene Woodley). The once Dauntless (one of five factions of a decimated near-future Chicago) teen is still being hunted by ruthless Erudite (the supposedly supreme faction) leader Jeanine (Kate Winslet). Jeanine, who sees herself and the other Erudite as being
civilization’s last hope, is determined to do whatever it takes to prevent Tris and other Divergents (a sort of superior race of beings encompassing the qualities of the other factions and then some) from succeeding in telling the truth about her. Tris’ sleep is still troubled by nightmares involving the death of her parents and a Dauntless friend. Luckily she has porny Four aka Tobias (Theo James) there to comfort and protect her. Tris hides out in a peaceful Amity community led by Johanna (Octavia Spencer), along with her brother Caleb (Ansel Elgort), pesky Peter (Miles Teller) and Four. But the reprieve is short-lived as Jeanine sends her minions, run by evil Eric (Jai Courtney) and Max (Mekhi Phifer), on a quest to find and retrieve the perfect Divergent who she thinks will help her unlock a box that is believed to hold the secret to destroying Divergents once and for all. Along the way, Tris cuts her hair. Then she and Four are betrayed by Peter, abandoned by Caleb, put to the test by Candor head Jack (Daniel Dae Kim) and reunited with Evelyn (Naomi Watts), Four’s itinerant mother who has become the leader of the Factionless underground. Predictably, Tris eventually ends up in Jeanine’s clutches and is subject to a simulation exam that could potentially kill her. Needless to say, good triumphs over evil. The Divergent are more valuable than Jeanine has led people to believe, and there is hope beyond the walls that keep the citizens under the control of the Erudite. Tris even finds a way to forgive herself for the destruction left in her wake thus far. Insurgent is more violent than its predecessor, including the surprise ending that comes with a bang. The special effects are also better. That said, Insurgent is essentially a place holder for what comes next, meaning parts one and two of Allegiant, due out in 2016 and 2017, respectively. DVD special features include the “From Divergent to Insurgent” featurette, marketing gallery and producers’ audio commentary.

BEAT STRESS BEFORE IT BEATS YOU BY TOM BONANTI
86
FITNESS
T
he first weekend of every New Year I engage in a ritual that helps relieve stress. As I stash away holiday décor, I go through closets, drawers and crawl spaces in my home and get rid of “stuff.” If I haven’t worn it, used it, or played with it over the past year, it goes. Thus, clothes, books, nick-knacks, kitchen utensils, etc. are rooted out, sorted and boxed. This irksome clutter then becomes someone else’s treasures (I hope!) when I donate it to a local thrift store. Strange, how this always makes me feel as though I’ve simplified my life and eliminated loads of stress. EVERYONE NEEDS SOME "ME TIME" It’s not always easy to step away from the overwhelming whirlwind that is your life to reflect upon who you are and where you’re going. It may sound selfish or New Age, but everyone needs some “me time” to unwind, reflect and unload objects, situations and people who cause them unneeded stress. PRIORITIZE YOUR LIFE You need stress in your life to motivate and inspire you. The trouble comes when it controls and takes precedence over everything else. Managing stress begins with taking back some of the control you lost. Think about what brings you joy and take measures to allow more of it into your life. A new work out, spending time with supportive friends, having a home cooked meal at home with your boyfriend or husband, are all great ways to enhance your life. Life is too short to skimp on the experiences that bring genuine joy to your heart. On the flip side, reflect upon what you need less of in your life so you can become saner and more peaceful. Less time nursing hangovers, curtailing meetings with envious, snarky “friends” who drain your energy, etc., are all things you can happily kick to the curb.
EASE THE DAILY GRIND Don’t start off too grand. You can’t simplify your life and manage stress overnight. Take baby steps. You may not be able to afford an expensive vacation to unwind and relax. You might not want to rock the boat at work too much, especially with that promotion on the horizon. But you can do simple things to ease the daily grind. Take a walk on the beach instead of blowing-up when friends and co-workers rattle your cage. If you feel overwhelmed on the job by uncontrollable forces, choose one drawer of a file cabinet and reorganize it. Take one step at a time to ease up on yourself. In short, relax, breathe and don’t surrender to the whirling dervish of stress around you! KEEP YOUR BODY & MIND ACTIVE Make room for exercise. Physical activity, whether it’s walking the dog or taking Orange Theory Classes can make you feel more creative, alive and better about life in general. Working out, doing cardio, playing sports are dynamite ways to blow off steam and beat stress before it beats you! Exercise is the only real fountain of youth available and it’s there for everyone. Also don’t forget to keep your mind active. Reading, travel, bridge and crossword puzzles can keep those wheels turning and sharp as you tune out needless stress and anxiety that age you. Stress is here to stay. Just don’t let it take the heart, soul and joy out of your life. You’ve got the tools to master it.
