Membership includes age-appropriate access to the gymnasium, indoor pool, outdoor water park, indoor track, fitness floor, chill zone, and discounts on programs, special events, and rentals. The CAC has the following amenities: • Fitness Floor: more than 30 pieces of cardio equipment, 17 Cybex selectorized machines, walking/running track, a Smith machine, an Adaptive Motion Trainer, and big screen TVs. • Gymnasium: wood floor courts for volleyball, basketball, badminton, and pickleball. • Indoor Pool: eleven 25-yard lap lanes, diving board, waterslide, a toddler spray area, and AquaClimb climbing walls. • Outdoor Water Park (seasonal): a zero-entry level activity pool, two large waterslides, lazy river, vortex, water play features, three tot slides, and a 60-gallon dumping bucket. • Tot Drop: designated area for infants and child’s restroom, for children, ages 6 months-9 years. • Chill Zone: air hockey, two pool tables, ping pong, foosball table, gaming stations, wireless internet, and big screen TVs. • Multipurpose Rooms for programming and private rentals. • Online membership renewals and program registrations. Also offered at the CAC: • Thirty-three group exercise classes each week, eleven of which are aquatics based. • Personal training. • A wide variety of programs and classes for preschool, youth, teens, and adults. • Private rentals, lock-ins, and birthday party packages. • Various special events throughout the year. SPECIAL EVENTS Wag 'N' Waves Doggie Dive Your fur child can come make a splash at Flower Mound's Doggie Dive! Dogs can enjoy some water park fun, puppuccinos, and snack on some tasty treats. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win dog-tastic prizes. Please arrive 20 minutes early so Flower Mound Animal Services can verify a current rabies vaccination. To verify, all participants must have a current rabies certificate provided by a veterinarian and must be wearing their rabies tag. Leashes are required before you enter the pool enclosure, and animals in heat are not permitted. The Town will provide treats and toys and ask that owners refrain from bringing personal treats or toys for safety reasons. Please note, humans are not allowed in the pool during this event. Lifeguards will be on site to help humans; pet owners are responsible for their own pets. No day of registration available, pre-registration is required. Owners who bring an items to donate to the Flower Mound animal shelter will receive extra prize draw entries.
Fang-tacular Family Campout
Experience Flower Mound camping by pitching a tent at Twin Coves Park! Pumpkin patch activities and various family games will be provided along with a catered dinner, breakfast, and late night snacks. Bring a tent, tent decorations, sleeping bags, bug spray, and flashlights. The most creative Halloween-themed tent will win a prize in the tent decorating contest! Price is per family up to 6 people. Families larger than 6 will be charged an additional $15 per additional person, up to 3 additional. Cabins and RV sites are available for an additional fee and must be booked separately through Twin Coves Park. Cabin and RV space is limited and must be reserved by Friday, Oct. 7. Halloween Egg Haunt
Flower Mound residents can wake up Halloween weekend to a fun hunt for treats and tricks! Parks and Recreation staff will come and scatter your lawn with Halloween colored eggs filled with prizes and candy. The next morning, grab your treat bag, and go no further than your front yard for a fun filled hunt! Participants must live in Flower Mound and registration is required by Wednesday, October 19. Day

Woof-O-Ween
Dress your pup in their favorite Halloween costume for the Town’s annual “Woof-O-Ween.” Awards will be given for most creative, scariest, best homemade, funniest, and best pet/owner look-a-like costumes. There will be a photo area to capture your furry friend’s fang-tastic costume. Come out and let your canine companion strut their stuff on the red carpet and enjoy treats, prizes, and music. Grab your neon swimsuits and towels for an afterhours, glow-in-the-dark Pumpkin Plunge! Find your perfect pumpkin for Halloween carving or decoration in our floating pumpkin patch. The CAC indoor pool will be decorated with black lights for this fun, family friendly, spooktacular event. After claiming a pumpkin, all registered participants can enjoy some scary, fun activities outside. Pre-registration is required as spots are limited. An adult must be in the water with all non-swimmers, 3-5 year-olds, and individuals wearing a life jacket.

Get your chalk ready for our fall chalk art contest! In honor of November Arts Month, Chalk the Walk will take place at Heritage Park, and all ages and levels of artists are able to participate. The first 75 participants to register will receive their own set of chalk. Prizes will be awarded based on different groups: 6 and under, 7-10 years old, 11-13 years old, 14-17 years old, 18 and over, and family. Additionally, awards will be given for most inspiring, most unique, and best fall-inspired masterpiece.

Veterans Day Ceremony
The Town will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony, which consists of a family picnic from 1 to 2 p.m. with free hot dogs, cake, and lemonade, followed by the ceremony at 2 p.m. The ceremony will included a veterans review where local Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and ROTC units parade in uniform before the veterans. Reindeer Run 5K & Grinch Sprint The Rotary Club of Flower Mound, in partnership with the Town, is hosting the 4th annual Reindeer Run 5K and Grinch Sprint on Dec. 3. 100 percent of the proceeds from the event supports the Rotary Club's local and international charity work.
All participants will receive a medal and T-shirt. Participants are encouraged to come in holiday attire and can enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, pancakes, and cookies after the run while supplies last. Santa Claus and the Grinch will be on hand for photos. Awards will be given out in each age group. Cash prizes will be awarded to top three male and female finishers overall. HOLIDAY CAMPS Art Camps
In these holiday-themed painting workshops, young artists will complete two masterpieces each day with step-by-step guidance from a professional artist. Explore watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels, and charcoal to create realistic landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, and animals. Students learn perspective drawing, color theory, color mixing, time saving brushstrokes, and more. Wear an old T-shirt, and bring a snack and paper towels. Creative Engineering & Robotics Camp
Students in this camp will focus on engineering, physical science, technology, mathematics, and language projects. Lego Wedo, EV3s, Hummingbird Kits, and a Micro:bit programmable micro-computer will be used to unleash their creativity to craft robots and animate them by using both block- and text-based coding languages. Students will use VEXcode VR to code a virtual robot, which will teach them about project flow, loops, conditionals, and algorithms. Groups will be divided by age and skill level. Hound Mound Dog Park The Hound Mound at Heritage Park is the Town’s fiveacre dog park located on the east side of Heritage Park. The park has separate areas for small and large dogs, and amenities include dog agility stations, natural shade, hybrid Bermuda turf, irrigation, restrooms, seating areas with water fountains, dog rinse stations, trash receptacles, pet waste stations, landscaping, restrooms, and over 40 parking spaces. Plus, the park has two large areas that are rotated seasonally to help keep the grass green and reduce muddy areas. The Hound Mound is closed every Wednesday for maintenance. NEW! Music Makers 1: My Home Place
In this 15-week MusikGarten curriculum, students vocalize tonal/ rhythm patterns, poetry, and stories. Complex movement activities, listening games, and instrument play are attempted in this class. Skills such as advanced pitch matching, beat competency, ensemble development, and notation "decoding" become more refined. YOUTH Bowmen’s Homeschool PE
Homeschool PE is a 90-minute class that allows students to explore many sports in a short time. Each class begins with a dynamic warmup and stretch, then rotates through agility stations and drills. Each unit of study includes sport-specific drills and games. This includes rules of the game, strategy, and the fundamentals required to play. SENIORS IN MOTION SIM Memberships
Membership fees for those living within the Town (residents) shall be $10 per person per year. Membership fees for those living outside the Town (non-residents) shall be $20 per person per year. Day passes can be purchased for $1 for residents and $2 for non-residents.
OLLI at UNT Lunch Program
The Town of Flower Mound Seniors In Motion program offers lunch for seniors 50 and older. Metroport Meals on Wheels will be providing and serving the food from local restaurants on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lunch begins at noon and is $5 per person. The Seniors In Motion program serves staff-prepared lunches each Friday for $3 per person. For more information, please call 972.874.6110.
Flower Mound Seniors In Motion
OLLI provides lifelong learning programs that foster intellectual stimulation and social engagement through an extensive array of classroom and experiential learning opportunities designed specifically for adults 50 years or better. OLLI at UNT offers courses on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. taught by university professors that cover topics such as politics, art, history, music, science, and more! In addition to these seminars, OLLI members can attend additional seminars at five locations throughout Denton County, and attend special lectures as well as local trips around the Metroplex. Sep. 24 • 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. • FMHS • 3411 Peters Colony Road Join KFMB for a morning of cleaning, recycling, and fun. The goal is to remove trash from as many parks, trails, waterways, and roadways throughout Flower Mound as possible. Giveaways and prizes for most trash and recyclables collected will be given out, and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Online registration is available through KFMB's website. If you would like to participate in the trash pickup but cannot on Saturday, volunteers are welcome to pick up supplies to participate on another day.
KFMB Fall Festival
Sep. 24 • 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. • FMHS • 3411 Peters Colony Road The Fall Environmental Fair will include a variety of booths promoting environmental best practices including tree care, water conservation, native plants, composting, reducing trash, and recycling. This event is open to all ages, will include kids’ activities, and participation in the trash cleanup is not required in order to attend. This event is also pet friendly!
KFMB Recycle Drop Off

Join KFMB in making a positive impact by choosing to recycle and donate items for the greater good. Volunteers will empty your cars of the items, so that you do not have to leave the comfort of your vehicle! Recycling opportunities include: paper shredding, electronic waste, small batteries, clothing/textiles/books, eye glasses, medications, pens/mechanical pencils, plastic grocery bags and plastic film, clean plastic utensils, and wire hangers.
Adopt-A-Spot
Help KFMB keep our Town’s roads, trails, and parks clean and beautiful. Adopt-a-Spot locations are available all-around Flower Mound. Details and applications are available on the KFMB website.
Bags to Benches Initiative - 19,600 lbs Collected!
KFMB is collecting plastic shopping bags and plastic film to recycle. Bins are located at the Community Activity Center, the Library, and Senior Center. KFMB will receive a park bench if 500 pounds of plastic bags and film are collected in six months. Benches have been provided to the Library, Community Activity Center, Senior Center, and Bridlewood Amenity Center. KFMB is now eligible for an additional bench!
Lend-A-Hand Community Enhancement Initiative
To date - 78 projects have been completed! Do you know a Flower Mound resident that needs help with outside repairs or maintenance of their home/property? This program was created to do just that! The program includes work days throughout the year as the needs arise, and funding is available. Please contact KFMB if you know of someone that needs help or would like to serve on the committee.
KFMB Volunteers Really Add Up!
In 2021, volunteers completed 7,294 service hours and collected 28,756 pounds of trash/recycles! The hours include Trash Pickup, Adopt-A-Spot, Beautification, Bags to Benches, and Lend-A-Hand projects. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated!

Benefits Help the Town commemorate Dorothy’s battle with MS by participating in the annual Dorothy’s Dash 5K race and Kid’s K. On November 16, 2004, former Town of Flower Mound employee Dorothy Walkup lost her battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Net proceeds will benefit the Texas Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Dorothy’s honor.
Awards will be given to the male and female winners as well as the first three finishers in each age category. All Kid’s K participants will receive a medal. There will be no duplication of awards. 5K Categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
