INTRODUCING! One of the baddest dancers in the O! I've seen her frequently, and she is hot. You know you bad when you can dance at the straight AND gay clubs. She holds it down where ever she is. Funky, fresh, and a great artist in her craft. Thumbs up to this Dancing Diva!!!!!
WHO IS YOU, AND WHERE DID YOU LAND FROM???? I see him all the time trying to look of some importance, but I can't seem to figure out your place in this city. You make a spectacle everywhere you go. What I don't understand is how this LV wearing, Corvette driving, "big dawg" has THE ASHIEST ELBOW I'VE EVER SEEN! Lick em', Wet em', Hell just get some lotion on them thangs! I don't think a Diva or a Prince would want that rough skin on them.
I THINK YOU GUYS ARE TOO OLD FOR THIS BULL!! "Hey Dawg, I'ma wear my red plaid, you wear your green plaid, and Pookie can wear his rainbow plaid, and we finna shut this club down. No Negro! Don't do that. I can't see any sexes being attracted to this hideous attraction. Have your own sense of style. If it's not themed to be all plaid all night, DON'T TO THAT! Its pretty whack."

FROM DeVaStatIon TO CeLeBratIon hurricAne kAtrinA
urricane Katrina was a national catastrophe which claimed a lot of lives and left many with hardships. By the faith of God and perseverance some have used this tragedy to better themselves and claim success. Through trials and tribulations this is one success story that has yet to reach its peak. Alex McKinney aka MiniMe has seen his ups and downs several times throughout his life but has never held his head low and never lost his faith in the Man upstairs. His story has touched me as it will touch others as you read about how he came from the bottom to see a vision of what is today the hottest barbershop in Orlando. He has traveled hundreds of miles to now be residing in Orlando where he had no family or friends now he is a household name such as if he was a native of our city. You may see him downtown or around town doing him but no matter what he carries a smile on his face. Listen as this humble man tells his story of what we call from rags to riches LITERALLY. - Interview by Nick Grace
Alex, How’s life and business sir? Life is pretty good right now. Business is on the rise. How long have you been in business? I opened up my first barber shop at the age of 21 on the outskirts of Biloxi, Mississippi. So around eleven years I have been an entrepreneur. After Katrina hit in 2004 I lost two houses and a bail bonds company in the storm. My wife and I were married in 2001 and we literally slept on the floor of my barber shop for six months before the rescuers relocated us into a FEMA trailer. We took baths with baby wipes and by putting alcohol in a bowl then placing it in the microwave which eventually dried out our skin. The year and a half we spent in the FEMA trailer felt like prison. To say the least it was hell. It didn’t matter who you were rich or poor because you couldn’t withdraw money from your bank account so everyone was in the same boat. How did you come about owning your shop here in Orlando? From 2004 to 2006 I buried three of my closest relatives in New Orleans. After my second week from moving from the Gulf Coast in 2006 I was in a car accident on OBT/Americana my head went through the windshield and I suffered three herniated disks in my neck. Two weeks after my accident my apartment (Millenia West) on South Texas Ave. caught on fire. This was my second time being homeless and losing everything within two years. right off of 33rd Street. I just asked God why I was going through these trials and tribulations but God was good and saw me through this devastation. After working odd jobs in Orlando I eventually got back on my feet and returned to my roots by applying for my barber licenses in Florida. I’m now licensed in three states. Besides haircuts what other services and products do you offer to the consumers? You name it we do it. It’s a one stop shop we feature design cuts, coloring, facials, bring a picture of what you want and we will make it into reality. Our outstanding feature is that we have a television set in each barbers booth where the customer receives the controller and can watch whatever they wish while getting their hair done. We also have two flat screens in each corner of the shop which the waiting customers can watch. We feature shiny marble floors and expensive plush barber chairs. For the kids and entertaining we have board games and also the PS3. It’s a family oriented shop where you can have a good time. We stress zero tolerance for profanity and so forth because it is family oriented. We have an on-site security guard which patrols the area on a daily basis. Do you have a special that is being advertised as of right now? No doubt we are the best barbershop in town. If you are referred or have any form of advertising of ours which you can bring in we can offer a discount of up to $2 off. Kid’s haircuts are $10 and men are $13. Where is your business located? Motown Barber Shop is located on the corner of Claracona Ocoee and Orange
Blossom Trail, 6325 N. O.B.T. Orlando, Fl, 32810 Unit 127. Some identifying landmarks are Pipe Dreams and Sharky’s Liquor. Staff includes: Myself Alex aka MiniMe, Devon, Robay, and Von formally from Jay barbershop, Mike and Pork formally from Barber Star, Ervin formally from Fades and Fro’s and Miss Asya formally from Hair Action. How has your business been embraced by the community? WITH OPEN ARMS!!! The community has been very supportive to Motown Barber Shop, from the surrounding areas Apopka, Pine Hills, Forest City, Hiawassee, Eatonville, and Rosemont which is our core crowd. We are putting these areas on lock right now and we are striving to build the other surrounding community areas as well. How do you go about advertising your business whether it is media or paper? Our biggest advertisement is by word of mouth We also feature business cards, and FlyerPromoNow definitely brings in a lot of people. CSR promotion is a big part of Motown. Without you guys we couldn’t make this possible. You also can catch some of us in several of the local clubs with the DJ’s shouting us out week in and week out. We network and advertise a lot by ourselves by just street hustling. Do you have any regular customers who are big named celebrities? Well we are currently working on Rashard Lewis through his brother Chris and Black. These guys are well known and make things happen when it comes to celebrities in Florida. I have to give a BIG shout out to
Alex McKinney &
them and my right hand man Devon who is definitely well connected and is a pioneer at the shop who has really helped make this dream possible. Devon also cut track star Xavier Carter and celebrity DJ’s such as Tony C, Baby Boy, and Crazy Yogi’s hair. With the addition of Ervin we hope to pull some of his old customers such as Michael Pietrus, Courtney Lee and several more Magic players whom he used to cut. Von cut Chris Leak hair. Southern Fried Chicken
Ingredients 1 broiler/fryer chicken, cut into 8 pieces 2 cups low fat buttermilk 2 tablespoons kosher salt 2 tablespoons paprika 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Flour, for dredging Vegetable shortening, for frying
Directions Place chicken pieces into a plastic container and cover with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours. Melt enough shortening (over low heat) to come just 1/8-inch up the side of a 12-inch cast iron skillet or heavy fry pan. Once shortening liquefies raise heat to 325 degrees F. Do not allow oil to go over 325 degrees F. Drain chicken in a colander. Combine salt, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Liberally season chicken with this mixture. Dredge chicken in flour and shake off excess. Place chicken skin side down into the pan. Put thighs in the center, and breast and legs around the edge of the pan. The oil should come half way up the pan. Cook chicken until golden brown on each side, approximately 10 to 12 minutes per side. More importantly, the internal temperature should be right around 180 degrees. (Be careful to monitor shortening temperature every few minutes.) Drain chicken on a rack over a sheet pan. Don't drain by setting chicken directly on paper towels or brown paper bags. If you need to hold the chicken before serving, cover loosely with foil but avoid holding in a warm oven, especially if it's a gas oven.

some time now. From Waka Flocka being shot, to his most recent arrest, I was surprised that he did actually show for this performance. You know Tabu was packed, & all the hoods were out to represent for this G Money & Hollywood East event. DJ BabyLac & DJ Greg G on the 1s & 2s. Disco JR & City had the crowd hyped & ready to “YEEEEAAAAA”!!!! Then once Orlando’s recently most talked about artist, P.I. Bang, stepped onto the stage, I began to think the crowd came out for him, not Waka. P.I. tore the stage up as one of the opening acts. The crowd was singing his songs, rockin’ his beats, & going wild. Don’t get me wrong, Waka Flocka did his thing, performing about five songs & the crowd loved it. However, let it be known, he had one hell of show to follow! ave you ever been accused of something you did not do? How would you handle the situation if you were taken for a suspect? Mistaken identity and profiling were the words used by Dirty Gee when he explains his jail time served for a crime he states he did not do. Dirty Gee is a local artist straight out of Apopka, Fl. He has been on the scene since ’05 spilling lyrical raps about the hood and thug life. His life and trials are told throughout his music which many embrace and can relate to. However, his life changed and was impacted greatly by legal issues which recently were put up against him. Dirty Gee was accused of murder and grand theft which he speaks on during our sit down discussion. Also, we touch on various topics such as his new album and who he feels is as the top of the charts in his industry. With his struggle and strive for success Dirty Gee feels he can be the hottest artist coming out of Florida and he explains his plan to do so. - Interview by Nick Grace
How long have you been rapping? I’ve been rapping for about five years now.
Who inspired you to pursue a rap career? My life is the real inspiration behind my rap career.
How was life growing up in Apopka? Growing up in Apopka there are only four main streets, eight streets really. I know everybody there; I mean I studied the streets more than I studied the school. As I grew older I found myself living the hood life. They put a murder charge up against me which was totally false.
20
| www.flyerpromonow.com
How did that murder charge come about? I had a silver magnum but the media described a white magnum for which they were offering a reward for the killer. At the time I was staying in Kissimmee but however it came about someone tried to turn me in for a reward. Basically, someone found my probation papers and took it down to the police station and they tried to book me for murder. I got booked and all. I had to spend roughly $60,000 for a lawyer and sat in jail for 28 days. I was sitting in the cell and the news flashed stating I was accused of murder however; I was released under mistaken identity.
What label are you signed to? I’m signed with DME. We've been together about two years.
How would you characterize your flow of rapping? I would say I just tell stories of my past and life. Its fact not fiction everything is true. I don’t talk about other people or bring controversy towards myself. It’s just my life breathing and speaking.
Which artists did u idolize growing up and what impact did they have on your life thus far? I love R & B with a passion that’s pretty much all I listen to.
How has the city embraced your career? The city respects my realistic style and attitude. I accomplish my life and live it on a daily basis. They have no reason not to respect it.
How do you feel that you can become the hottest artist out of central Florida and really put Orlando on the map as a hot commodity for up and coming local artist? By speaking the truth and living my life from all aspects. Music is pure emotion, you put your life on the mic. It’s the trials and tribulations you've been through and hopefully someone can relate and understand my life. Being the hottest and all the fame really doesn’t matter to me.
Do you feel that you have got the recognition you deserve thus far and how do you plan on
getting more exposure to yourself and your music? I feel I have got the recognition thus far. To get more exposure and a bigger fan base I have to step it up a notch and dedicate my life further. If I’m giving 120% I need to put in 160%.
What do you have in store for your fans in the near future? I just released the 11th commandment: Thou Shall Not Hate. It’s flooding the streets right now. It was just released last week still fresh off the presses. All the beats on the album come from AJ platinum tracks. I am green flagging, the motto for 2010 is f*** stress which is also the 8th track on the album.
Who do you feel has solidified their self as the top dog in the rap game and why? I feel Young Jeezy is the #1 rapper as of right now because I can relate to him. He speaks to me like none other it’s like he living the same life. His quotes are golden.
How can you be contacted? They can contact my manager J. T. Riley for all bookings, shows, house parties, block parties, pool parties, features, etc. at (407) 860-8143.
Is there anything else you would like to express or tell the fans and the readers? Understanding is the greatest thing to the world. I want the fans to relate to the realest!!!

Explain to the ones that don’t know who you are and what is it that you do or have done in the city of Orlando. My name is Moses CEO of Big Beatz Entertainment. I am a night club promoter that has done numerous events in the Orlando area for over 3 years now. I am also a member & road manager of the Grammy award winning producer team The Nasty Beatmakers. It seems as though every other person in Orlando is from New York City or from an area up north. Where are you originally from? (Laughs) I was actually born in The Bronx. I moved to Orlando when I was 2 years old, so you can say Orlando is all I know.

BRINGING THE BEST AND MOST MEMORABLE EVENTS TO THE
ORLANDO NIGHTLIFE.
In the entertainment business, it can be rather difficult to have a good relationship with a club owner as well as extremely hard to maintain. What makes your relationship with a club so successful? I have been partnered with Element Night Club for 3 years now. What helps me maintain this relationship is that the club owner and staff know exactly what I bring to the table. I am a promoter that highly believes in taking care of business. Explain the transition from owning your own business to becoming a club promoter? Was the transition a difficult one? The transition from owning my own business to becoming a club promoter was actually not difficult at all. When I owned my business I had to make sure all aspects were taken care of including my staff, finances and supplies. As a promoter, I am concerned with the same type of things because I am actually running my own business. I make sure that the club is fully staffed for the night as well as make sure that the bar & the door are making the money that I have estimated for the night. Why do you feel that you are the Talk Of Orlando? I am the Talk Of Orlando because I am reppin’ my city to the fullest. Whenever I am in other cities working with major artists, I always represent where I’m from. It’s all about trying to put Orlando on the map. How long have you been in the entertainment industry? I've been in the entertainment industry for 15 years. What is the one thing that helps you to succeed in this industry? What helps me succeed in this industry is working with a great team.
24
| www.flyerpromonow.com
It’s not the number of people that you have on your team that’s important, it’s about what those individuals can actually bring to the table. You are a member of The Nasty Beatmakers with Grammy award winner DJ Nasty. What exactly is your role with them? DJ Nasty & LVM are my brothers. I primarily help them with promotions but I am also their road manager. I am responsible for their transportation as well as their room & board. DJ Nasty and LVM are the hottest producers in the business right now. Their latest project was for DJ Khaled’s "All I Do Is Win". Wherever DJ Nasty is chances are I will be there too. Some people think throwing a party in a club is simple. Explain what it takes to have a successful party. It takes a lot of hard work and time to have a successful party. The most important part of having a successful night is the promotion itself. Other important aspects would be having good music and great drink specials. These types of things can make the night a success. How do you feel about the club scene in Orlando? I think we need more variety in Orlando. A lot of the clubs are doing the same thing. I believe we need to bring something new and fresh to Orlando’s night life. Who was your favorite person or team that you have collaborated with in the past? I would have to say first and foremost the one team that I enjoy working with is The Mega City Click. For those that don’t know, the Mega City Click consists of members Disco & The City Boyz, Clay D, Big Mo & Sir Knight Train. I also would have to consider J Love of 102 Jamz as one of the people I enjoy working with. I have worked with all of these individuals for many years and plan to work with them in the future. Who would you like to collaborate with in the future? In the future I would like to collaborate with more promoters who have the same vision as I do. My vision is always to provide an event where you can come to have a great time with great music. The most important part of my vision is for people to always feel like they are being treated with respect at my events. Do you have any shoutouts at this time? I would like to Shout out DJ Nasty, LVM, Sir Knight Train, Big Mo, Clay D, J Love, Disco and The City Boyz, Mayur, Cindy, Evelyn, DJ Chino, DJ Skream, Popov and The Blokmovaz , TalkofOrlando.com, The entire Element Staff, Charlie, Water Boy and to everyone that supports my events. Footwrk “Dancing Became My Life” Footwrk when did you get introduced to Dancing? I started dancing around 9 years old but it wasn’t like a Michael Jackson thing, which he is a big influence in my life, but it was more of my mother brought home the movie Grease. We didn’t really have cable like that so we used to watch tapes and we used to watch them dance on the show and we used to copy all those dances and moves that they did. I started watching Michael Jackson around like eleven or twelve years old. The first Michael Jackson thing that I saw was the Thriller movie. The thriller movie was like the craziest thing that I’ve ever seen in my life, I saw it on Halloween night because that’s when it premiered and it was just…crazy! Thriller, kinda rocked me to the point to say that, that is what I want to be. Where the Name Footwrks originate? The name that I had originally was Ichiban because in Japanese it means Nice. It wasn’t until I was at my homeboys’ crib one day and I was dancing, the name Footwrks came. I guess because I used to do the Heel & Toe all the time, that’s the only dance I knew back then. When you started taking dance seriously? I was 17 and it was to a Ginuwine song “Number One Fan” I remember that day. So I did that talent show and I tell you man the reaction of the girls who watched me dance to some R&B it was ridiculous! I promise you the next day when I went to school all the girls knew I could dance. Homecoming was two weeks later and three girls asked me to go to homecoming with them after that night. From then on I was like Yo this is the illest thing ever! That’s when I knew that dancing was going to be it for me. When I turned 18, I borrowed my sisters’ car and I went to Jamaica Me Crazy. It was the first 18 and up club I ever went to. That’s when it was that Beach Club over on Colonial. From that experience alone I would go to the club every Friday night by myself. I kept borrowing the car. The first person I ever saw dancing was Blackie and all the attention that he used to get in the club I was like “Boom” that’s what I want! Everything kind of took off from there. That’s how I got into the whole dancehall thing by going to Jamaica Me Crazy. How did you move from being a dancer to a Promoter? The way I ended up doing promotions was CC was doing Jamaica Me Crazy at Tropical Magic over there on John Young and he was getting ready to close it down. One

So sit back relax and enjoy...
All mi island people Wi Deya !!! Interview & WordsBy: Holladay night I walked by Element and Myur stopped me who was one of the owners for the club and he said, I know you from Jamaica Me Crazy cause I used to go there and I’ve seen you. I know you have a lot of people that know you so do you want to do a club night? I was like I don’t really know how to promote a club night. He said here’s how you promote it, I’ll front everything, and you just go ahead and tell everybody that you know to come to this club night. So that’s pretty much how I got into promotions. I started doing a Friday night with them called Island Fever Friday. It was all the luck of the draw and being in the right place at the right time because at the time I started my promotions, Jamaica Me Crazy closed down and I got that entire crowd! I did that for about a year and I loved it! Every Friday I was pulling alone up to $4,000 at the door and I would walk away with about $1500 maybe two grand. Now about the future of Footwork what would you say are some projects you have coming up? Right now I’m working on my birthday party in April. Honestly I feel like this is my last year of doing this so I want to go out with a bang. Dancing became my life, but I know in my heart that you can’t dance forever man so it has to come to a point where I’m like I got my credibility. I just want to end the year out the best I can and then move on to my other state of mind and my projects which is marketing and Graphic Design because I’ve been doing that heavy. I get a lot of job offers with it so I’m going to try to push that and make a career out of that and leave the dancing to the younger up and coming in fear factor . Any shout outs to some people you want to big up? I want to shout out to Mr. CC because he was the first person to put me on as far as dancehall and give me a chance. Pressure Dem promotions, Gary Bashment, Junior Bashi and Patrick B from Miami put me on some shows. Shout out to everyone I ever danced with like the Fear Factor crew, Feva, King Kong, Mickey Mouse, Twenty, Jigga, Blackie, man Like Popeye ,Whitey, and Fresh Prince. All the Dj’s I’ve worked with like J Blaque who was the first DJ that was on my side, Stamina from rooftop days at Cairo. Orlando is a very big city but it is close knit, shout out anyone I didn’t mention. Y
ou may be surprised to learn that you can train less and see better results—yes it's true! And you don't have to buy any special equipment. All you need is your body and the proper training knowledge. But first, it’s important to understand the anatomy of the rectus abdominis (or abs, for short). They run down the front of the torso, from the center of the ribcage to the pubic bone. It's a common myth that the abs are made up of several different muscles (such as upper and lower abs). The fact that the word "abs" appears to be plural doesn't help this case. But in fact, it is one long sheet of muscle that just happens to look like several small muscles. This is due to a unique feature called "tendinous inscriptions." These inscriptions run across the muscle and down the center, giving it that "6-pack" (but more accurately, 8-pack) appearance. "If the abs are one muscle," you may be wondering, "then why do certain exercises seem to target different areas?" Actually, all
32
| www.flyerpromonow.com
abdominal exercises target the entire muscle, but during some exercises, you just happen to feel it in one region of the muscle a little more. The abs are grouped with a few other muscles that are collectively referred to as the "core," which also includes your obliques (which run diagonally across your middle), transverse abdominis (a long muscle that runs horizonally beneath the rectus abdominis), and lower back (erector spinae muscles along the spine). Some experts also consider the hips to be part of the core. Many people focus on training the abs but forget about these other muscles, which are also important. A good rule of thumb is that every time you train your abs, you should also target the obliques and lower back as well. WheN it cOMeS tO traiNiNg fOr abS Of SteeL, here'S What yOu Need tO kNOW: Burn fat. You may be surprised to know that most people actually DO have strong, defined abs…they just happen to be covered by a layer of fat. This is because the abs are actually involved in balance and stabilization during all kinds of every day movements and exercises. All the crunches (or other exercises) in the world won't burn the fat on top of the muscle. To accomplish this, you need a combination of regular cardio (aerobic) exercise and a healthy diet to create a caloric deficit necessary to lose weight. Your balanced Diet and exercise program will help you achieve your weight loss goals. No excuses get rolling and burn off the flat tire! PHIT PHINE & PHABULOUS fits curves not excuses. t’s March Madness! I haven’t decided yet who I’m going to pick to take it all. Which top seed should I go with, Kansas, Kentucky, Duke or Syracuse? Maybe it won’t be a number one seed who takes it all. Miracles do happen. I have a feeling John Calapari and Kentucky may make it to the finals. Say what you want about him but the man is a good coach. I’m going to be tuning in because this is the most exciting time of college basketball. Speaking of exciting times, this is the NFL’s first off season without a salary cap in 17 years. The Bears took advantage of this quickly and signed 3 players to guaranteed contracts totaling $55 million. Those players are Julius Peppers, Chester Taylor and Brandon Manumaleuna. Good for them. Get that guaranteed money. In other NFL news, Brady Quinn signed with the Broncos, Antonio Bryant signed with the Bengals, LaDainian Tomlinson signed with the Jets, Anquan Boldin is going to the Ravens. And Antonio Cromatie will join former teammate Tomlinson in NY with the Jets. The Jets already have one of the best defenses and now with Cromattie and Coach Rex Ryan Revis at Cornerback
they become even better. Other teams better watch out for the Jets. They are trying to make a statement. Supposedly coach Rex Ryan underwent surgery to have that pregnant belly he was walking around with shrunk as well. He’s slim, trim, and ready to win. As a former soccer player I know how most of the American public feels about the sport. However, over seas, soccer is a BFD and this summer the World Cup will be in full swing. Unfortunately David Beckham won’t be making an appearance as he recently suffered an Achilles injury. Soccer may not be the most exciting sport to watch but the players are probably some of if not the most in shape athletes. So even if you don’t like the sport you should still respect them. Can you run for 90 minutes? 30 SECOND TIMEOUT This 30 second timeout is for Ben Roethlisberger who was investigated by police after being accused for sexual assault for the second time in 8 months. I’m not trying to make this a race issue but if it was a black player who got accused of not one but two Ben Roethlisberger sexual assaults the media would have had a field day with him. They would have picked apart his character and his career might be in jeopardy. I am not making assumptions as to whether he is guilty or not but it seems to me he isn’t scared at all. www.flyerpromonow.com

T TER L I S BE
L R M BI R EFO E R A C As President ALTH D HE E T Obama gets closer to LU A DI the passage of the healthcare reform bill, his ratings will improve. His numbers are the lowest since he won the election, but a major achievement with the healthcare reform bill is immanent. It may take another month and a half but eventually there will be a bill on his desk for him to sign. This bill will be transformational and it will dramatically alter the way the healthcare system works. Everyone is well aware that this bill will take incremental steps to improve healthcare for all Americans. There are 50 million Americans without health insurance, and this bill will help millions get health insurance. The Obama administration is working extremely hard to get 217 votes in the House to pass the amended version of the bill that is changing everyday. In the Senate, 60 votes are needed to pass the healthcare bill, but there is a special procedure that can be used where the senators only need 51. One thing is for sure, eventually there will be a healthcare bill, where the Democrats and the President can be extremely satisfied with their achievement. The Congressional Budget Office will eventually have to determine a cost estimate over 10 years and hopefully the bill will not exceed over a trillion dollars. New ideas for the healthcare reform bill are now coming from everyone, including Republicans, Democrats, Doctors, Lawyers, Lobbyist, and insurance executives. This is a good thing because in order to make democracy inclusive, the final bill must be bi-partisan and representative of the entire country. No one party or group should make all the decisions because the bill should be collaborative. Once the bill is passed, and the President has signed the bill, the real work is just beginning. Transforming a system that is controlled by powerful billion dollar corporations will be a massive undertaking. In order to make healthcare affordable and accessible to an additional 40 million people will have to be managed by the government. There is a great idea being promoted by our own Congressman Alan Grayson. He is proposing that millions

of Americans be allowed to purchase health insurance from Medicare and Medicaid. There is already a system in place and the mechanism can be used to get more Americans insurance and not re-invent the wheel. There are also great ideas where children can stay on their parents insurance until they are 25 years old, and this would help keep this age group insured. There are ideas where Americans with pre-existing conditions could not be denied coverage. With the large influx of Hispanics, the new bill would make it easier to get healthcare insurance to this targeted group. Also in the new bill, everyone would be required to purchase healthcare insurance very similar to car insurance. With the cost of healthcare increasing this year for some companies and certain individuals by 25%, something has to be done. The insurance companies are making billions of dollars, but their profits are hidden and secret to the general public. Since their records are not transparent and accountable, the question is how can they justify 25% premium increases? The healthcare system is broken and if you don’t have or can’t afford good insurance don’t get sick. Once anyone in your family gets sick, you will have to take out a second mortgage to pay your bill, or just refuse to pay it. Medical bills are a contributing factor to 62% of Americans declaring bankruptcy. Americans now spend 8% of their income on healthcare insurance and the cost is increasing yearly. If a citizen does not get healthcare insurance from his company, the coverage on the individual market is more expensive. The ability to afford and access healthcare insurance will always be a challenge, and is not going away, because eventually everyone gets sick. The politicians will not agree with all the different provisions and cost of the bill. The public will not know who to believe and who to trust. Nevertheless as an American, we know it is time for a change in the healthcare system, and we need to support our president on for more Obama Watch healthcare reform. log on to www.FLYERPROMONOW.com
