he highly-anticipated concert that took place on April 21st, 2010 at UCF featured the most promising and biggest hyped rapper since the likes of 50 Cent and Kanye West. Whether you call him Drake or Drizzy, he came to Orlando with one thing on his mind; to kill it, and that he did. Opening with his verse off of the popular “Forever” track and covering his future classics such as “Best I Ever Had” and “Houstalantavegas,” he made sure that everybody there would leave convinced that he’s the biggest name in music. Some interesting highlights included two new songs he performed which were “Fireworks” and another unknown song. To top it off, the crowd turned it up extra loud for an amazing tribute to Lil’ Wayne and Drake actually bringing out the Birdman (Baby) himself for a few songs. With all the pressure being put on Drake to put out a good (or even, classic) album, he maintains calm and cool and it shows with the hard work that’s definitely been put into his live performance. With the way things are going for him right now, his time in the spotlight shouldn’t be “Over” anytime soon. www.flyerpromonow.com

Gucci Gucci Gucci! Someone please serve him a warrant. Like really tho boo boo, no one does this in the club anymore. This must be your first Gucci purchase, cause you're excited to show it off.
What in the dread head hell is going on here???? I really don't even know what to say about this hunny. Unique and different is a good thing, but this is scary as hell to me. Like antlers with other baby antlers around it. I'm sure under that mess and behind those eyes, lies a sexy beast. Maybe?!
Redisaster What is that? A key chain garter belt? You look a hot mess boo boo, and that eye shadow sets off the trashy look you already dominated. Not Diva boo boo, I'm sorry. Try again.
Best look of the week! You look very ready for the season. Perfect color blends while keeping a fresh looking face. Snap Diva!

oooooweeeee! Its going to be a scorcher this Summer! We are well into the Spring season with temperatures already dancing around the 90's! Now with that ridiculous Winter weather we experienced, we can only expect the Summer to be just as extreme. Orlando, don't let these unheard of temperatures keep you from enjoying your summer months. Find a way to stay cool, while partying cool! Now, while the temperatures are still bearable for outside activities, check out these chilled-out events I attended this week! SUMMER SPLASH @ WALL STREET One of the "coolest" events you can enjoy this summer is officially called Summer Splash, but it's commonly known as the Wall Street Pool Party Concert Series. The 47 Brand (formerly of 47 Clothing) will be showcasing this huge above the ground pool party once a month in the middle of Wall Street. Each month will featured a live band performing during the party. The first one was on April 26, with The Wailers, Bob Marley's official band. The lineup couldn't be any better! The crowd was thick, & the reggae music floated in the downtown air, welcoming the warmer months. Absolutely a great way to kick off the summer pool parties. Be sure to check out their lineup for the entire Summer!
WLOQ SMOOTH JAZZ UNDER THE STARS @ BALDWIN PARK Hands down this is one of my favorite events throughout the entire year! What's better than live jazz music outside, under the stars, with the nighttime breeze, & food & alcohol?!?! Unfortunately, if you missed it this year, you have to wait until next. Every year, this event sells out! And with a line up like The Rippingtons & Boney James (you gotta be a jazz head to know who I'm talking about), this event was certainly ALL THAT JAZZ! But, have no fear...WLOQ 103.1FM is known for these events throughout the year. Just stay tuned to the radio station for upcoming jazz festivals. This year, don't make your summer just about partying in the clubs. Step out of your box and find other ways to enjoy yourself. The clubs will always be there. But these "one" time events last in your memories forever...and make the best of your Summer 2010. Have any events or concerts you'd like the streets to know about? Perhaps you have some comments, concerns, or complaints? What better way to set the record straight with the streets than with me, Starlet?!?! Email me your letters, flyers, & pics to starletinthestreets@gmail.com. Until next time... LET'S CELEBRATE

ou may not be acquainted with the name but you will certainly recognize them by their music! One of the most beloved tunes in Reggae written by the Jamaican duo is “Everyone falls in love sometimes”. It is hard to find someone that has not heard this track for this tune has had many dancehalls and voyagers on the road rhythmically bobbing their head and singing along since the songs inception. The single has such world wide appeal that it blazed a trail to the U.S Top 40 Billboard chart. The duo is made up of Tanto Metro who is what the Caribbean refers to as a Deejay or who others will identify with as the rapper of the group and Devonte who has the captivating melodic voice. The blend of coarse dancehall with smooth singing gives the listening audience an enchanting experience. A few of their accolades include being featured in XtraTainment magazine, their bio on Vh1.com, and several awards from Tamika, ASCAP and The Reggae Soca awards for various categories including Best Duo, Song of the Year and Best Selling Single. Last year made a decade that Tanto Metro and Devonte has been giving us good reggae music for our listening enjoyment. They have been traveling all over the country in years past and present showcasing their talent. Tanto Metro and Devonte have graced the stages of events such as Zootopia in 2003; which is an annual concert in the summer organized by New York’s station Z100. They performed alongside Mariah Carey for that popular event. They have also entertained thousands of viewers on the

In Feb they visited Bryans Bay in Portland and “ bruk” down the house at the Portland Curry Festival. In the same month the audience was vibing and the ladies were feeling the duo’s sex appeal at the Jam Rock with a Squeeze put on by Jam Rock Magazine. Easter met them in Belize with the Second Annual Easter bash. Last May they took the crowd into overdrive at the Jazz Reggae Festival hosted by UCLA. Other acts that performed include Buju Banton and Beenie Man. What a year they’ve had also performing at Black Out’s 2nd anniversary party, Unifest in Fort Lauderdale FL, The Calle Ocho Festival in FL, the Summer Brake Concert and Play in Alberta Canada, and Last year they have been on the move as well re performing at Lux Ultra Lounge here in Orlando Florida for CC’s Birthday bash. FLYERPROMONOW presents
IS OBAMA’S WALL STREET REFORM WORKING? As Obama argues for his Wall Street Reform Bill to pass, the major question on everyone’s mind is, “Does the bill stop the wrongdoers and attack the fundamental problems on Wall Street?” Many believe that the problems are systemic and the reform is only scratching the surface. Corruption, fraud, and greed were allowed by the SEC and the independent regulatory agencies because there are millions to be given to regulators as gifts. The lobbying, political manipulation, and inside trading is the way Wall Street operates and the power brokers are not ready to change the system. The financial meltdown of 2008 did not start in 2008, and giving banks billions of dollars is not correcting the problem. Many Americans believe that the banks only received money from TARP and they have paid back almost all of the money that they borrowed. The truth is the five largest banks, the Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, and Goldman Sachs, received billions from the Federal Reserve to acquire closed and liquidated banks. The five largest banks in that country at one time controlled 30 percent of all deposits, but now they control 40 percent of all deposits. The largest banks are buying up smaller banks, and they are increasing their financial hostage on the system. Money and power is being concentrated by the big banks and the Federal Reserve is making it possible through federal loans. Corporate executives are taking larger bonuses and their bottom lines are in a state of crisis. The credit markets remain frozen and since 2008, there have been 65 banks that have been closed and liquidated. Obama wants to put a cap on the size of banks as well as the risk that banks can take. It is a good idea but the five largest banks in the country have already gotten larger. The large banks last year received over $140 billion in bonuses and no one in the federal government is asking for that money back. These large bank executives are being

rewarded for an inferior job performance. Everyone is aware that there is a need for independent regulatory agencies to control the abuse in Wall Street, but the government is spending the majority of the time getting its own house in order. With the government borrowing millions of dollars internationally, keeping our own economy afloat is an extremely difficult job. Trying to regulate Wall Street is forcing the government to stretch its resources, and they are limited. The reality ofWall Street is that it is a speculative business where there is always risk.Trying to regulate a business that fluctuates with investors who control billions of dollars is not for grass roots citizens. The average American is not in a position to invest in Wall Street and the majority of citizens do not understand how this system operates. As the new guy on the block, Obama can tell citizens that his Wall Street Reform Bill will fundamentally change the system, but most Americans and politicians do not believe that is the case. The five banks that control 40% of the deposits in the country are already too big to fail. Obama’s Wall Street Reform Bill will not break up the position that the big banks have on our economy and the world. The bill will not meet the serious challenges crippling our financial system, and recoup the undeserved Wall Street bonuses. The bill will not separate speculation from investment activity, and reign in the power of the Federal Reserve. The bill will not bring justice to the wrongdoers at Fannie May and Freddie Mac and control fraud on Wall Street. It is obvious that there is a need for reform on Wall Street. Many times, white collar crimes get a slap on the wrist and the problem is swept under the rug. Putting a cap on the size of banks and financial institutions is a sound idea but how do you stop a train that is already moving? for more Obama Watch log on to www.FLYERPROMONOW.com

sking how to prevent stretch marks is much better than asking how to get rid of these stubborn lines ruining the look of your body. Stretch marks can appear on the whole body during a woman’s pregnancy. They are always visible on the regions of the body that are exposed for expansion during pregnancy, like the upper part of your leg, your buttocks, hips, abdomen and breasts. There are simple steps that you need to perform in order to keep away from these marks that annoy everyone and affect the look. How to prevent or minimize stretch marks depend on how well you eat. If you are used to eating healthy food then your skin is doing well. But if you do not consume a good amount of vitamins on daily basis then your skin will be less liable to come back to its original status. Healthy skin contains a good amount of collagen that helps the skin to recoil back to its normal size after being stretched in pregnancy but, unhealthy skin won't be able to restore its normal shape after pregnancy.
32
| www.flyerpromonow.com
Make sure that your skin is well hydrated. It is very important to drink a lot of water on daily basis. It is recommended to consume at least eight glasses of water every day to maintain the elasticity of the skin. The skin cell is made of more than 80% water, so the presence of water is very important for the health of the skin and to maintain its elasticity. If you want to really know how to prevent or minimize stretch marks then you need to apply soothing cream to the stretched parts from the beginning of the second trimester of the pregnancy. Application of softening cream maintains the elasticity of the collagen fibers in the superficial and deep layers of skin. This will protect the fibers from rupture and give it the ability to stay intact and help it to regain its previous length after delivery. Women should know how to minimize the stretch mark effect by massaging the abdomen and hips areas because they are the most prone areas for stretch marks. Massaging is a very important activity that you need to apply regularly if you want to evade the stretch marks or even to minimize it. Massaging is meant to enhance the blood supply of the area and help nourishing the skin and maintain it healthiness. Application of massage should be in a circular movement to acquire the highest effect. Most women are able to joyfully overlook stretch marks when they consider the miracle of life they bring into the world. Do what you can during pregnancy to maintain an appropriate weight and try not to worry too much about stretch marks. Many women consider them a ‘war wound’ or “badge of honor” related to their pregnancy. Why not wear them with pride? If you have stretch marks make the choice to be Phit Phine & Phabulous with them! If you have any questions or concerns you can email me at aerobastrength@aol.com, call direct at 407-285-1285 or visit the website at www.aerobastrength.com

ave you seen Joakim Noah's neck? It's definitely a sign that the NBA playoffs are in full swing. The players seem to play with higher intensity, tenacity, and heart at this time. I find the playoffs way more exciting than regular season. I don't think I'm alone in this because it seems that the fans are more intense as well. As a matter of fact I was in attendance at game 2 of the Magic vs Bobcats and although the game was pretty much a blowout I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was the crowd that kept me excited. My favorite part was chanting "ref you suck". lol. I knew going into the game that the Magic would come out on top. I also knew that they would win the series. Not only did they win the series, but they swept the Bobcats in the Magic's first ever best-of-seven series sweep. I'm confident that the second round of the playoffs will be more exciting. I am looking forward to the Celtics/Cavaliers series. I know most of the world wants to see King James and his team beat the Celtics. I have heard it all, from the Celtics are too old, to Lebron James is the face of the NBA. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I believe that you need to earn everything that is rewarded to you. Has Lebron earned the MVP that as of presstime still hasnt been presented to him? Yes I can agree with that. Is he the face of the NBA? I disagree. The fact still remains that Lebron James does not have a ring. Can he get one this year? Maybe. He can't do it by himself and it appears to me that his team can't do it with him on the bench either. Everyone expected him to make it to the finals last year and that didn't happen. All I'm saying Chris Johnson
is the public needs to stop putting so many expectations on him and just watch and see what happens. Chris Johnson of the Tennessee titans is also expecting better. A better contract. Rumor has it that Johnson hasn't shown up to Titans OTA's Lebron James because he feels like he should be making more than the $550,000 he is scheduled to make this season. It seems that his teammates have his back and support his decision. OTA (Organized Team Activites) are not mandatory therefore Chris faces no penalty. I agree that Johnson isn't the average running back and he deserves more than the aforementioned. The Titans may be trying to play hard and conduct business in the best way they see fit, and that may not include giving johnson his way. Do I think it would be a stupid move? Yes. I've said it plenty of times before this is a business and in business you have to spend money to make money. I don't forsee this hold out lasting too much longer. I just hope it benefits both parties involved.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE
2-TIME
