Gravimetric dust measuring device

Filter controller Dust measuring devices

Measuring principle The GMD 06 is an automatic sampling device for gravimetric dust measurements. These measurements are used as reference measuring method for the calibration of dust measuring devices (in Germany according to DIN VDI 2066). Furthermore it is possible to measure flow. The GMD 06 is able to determine independently all exhaust gas parameters being necessary for the dust measurement (e.g. humidity of the measuring gas, velocity in the stack as well as temperature and pressure). Under consideration of these parameters the GMD 06 extracts automatically a partial gas flow in isocinetic way from the exhaust gas channel. This partial gas flow is sucked via a filter, in which the dust contained is precipitated. A f t e r t h e measurement the filter is treated and weighed. When the filter mass weighed out has been entered manually, the GMD 06 calculates the dust content of the sample in operation and norm state.

Technical data control unit

The manual one For the gravimetric determination of the dust concentration Application: Measurement 1

of the absolute exhaust gas humidity Measurement of the 1 exhaust gas velocity (and D p, temperature) Measurement of the 1 exhaust gas content semi-automatic 1 calculation of the dust concentration after the determined dust mass has been entered

Selection of measuring point In order to get representative results with regard to the dust concentration of plants, whose emissions have to be monitored continuously, the correct installation of the dust measuring devices is a basic pre-condition. This is also valid for the application of measuring devices within the frame of process monitoring (e.g. qualitative measurement - monitoring of the clean gas dust content of bag filters). The installation point of the probe should fulfil the requirements of local valid guidelines (e.g. EN 132841, VDI 2066 page 1). In case of doubts it is recommended to let determine the measuring point by a responsible measuring institute (in Germany according to §§ 26/28 BImSchG). We recommend to realise at least 5 times the diameter of the exhaust gas channel as entry and exit section.

FMD 02 to combine with PFM 02 V for dust concentration measurement

Gravimetric dust measurement

GMD 06

PRODUCT INFORMATION 3
