Europese Competitie: Fictie
Leuven Short Film Festival has also been an important player outside of Belgium for years now. The festival helps to determine which short films are longlisted for the Oscars, the BAFTAs and the European Film Awards. The submissions for the European Competition are massive each year. From more than 1500 entries, six programmes were filtered with films from no less than 23 European countries. Each film in this competition competes for two important prizes: the Jury Prize and the Audience Prize. Because you too, get to decide which film gets to be called the Best European Film and will be acquired by Dalton Distribution.
Ook buiten de landsgrenzen is Kortfilmfestival Leuven al jaren een belangrijke speler. Het festival bepaalt immers mee welke kortfilms op de longlist komen van de Oscars, de BAFTA’s én de European Film Awards. De inzendingen voor de Europese Competitie zijn dan ook ieder jaar massaal. Uit meer dan 1500 inzendingen werden zes programma’s gefilterd met films uit niet minder dan 23 Europese landen. Elke film binnen deze competitie dingt mee naar twee belangrijke prijzen: de Prijs van de Jury én de Prijs van het Publiek. Want ook jij beslist mee welke film zich de Beste Europese film mag noemen en zal aangekocht worden door Dalton Distribution.

We follow two game designers as they transform the European Union into pixel graphics, in an effort to make Schengen catchy for young people. The question is whether it is possible.
Een gamebedrijf ontwikkelt een spel over de EU voor kinderen. In het spel speel je een vogel van een bepaald land die zich ergens anders moet nestelen. Het moeilijke is dat je enkel mag vliegen volgens je VISA. Lukt het de gamedesigners om de Europese Unie catchy te maken voor kinderen?
