This year you have to do and effort making a better warming up. Now you have to do a warming up with a bigger group of 10-12 pupils, speaking in English all the time. TRY TO INTRODUCE THE NEW EXPRESSIONS THAT YOU CAN READ IN THIS NOTES. Remember the usual expressions that we used last year;  First, We start with.......(mobility or stretching) exercises.  Move the....(shoulders, knees,...)!  Change!  And now, you have to.....!  Make circles with the....!  Keep this position 15 seconds  Finally, we are going to....  Don’t worry if you say something wrong. It is better you try to speak in English with your friends!

STRENGTH Strength is a physical ability that lets us do a muscular action in order to overcome an opposing force. This physical ability is related to the locomotor system with its 3 basic elements; Bones, Joints and especially Muscles. If you want to train and increase your strength you can do different types of exercise;  With your Body Weight  Throwing Medicine Balls  Jumping with different types of Jumps  With other elements like Dumbells, Machines,… We use strength in most sports. Here are some examples: An athlete in order to jump as much as possible A rower in order to move his boat quickly A football player in order to kick the ball. EXERCISES WITH YOU BODY WEIGHT In this course, we work with strength while playing Games and doing Exercises with our body weight. The 3 basic exercises are: 

SIT UPS; in which you only have to flex your torso 30

degrees. Inhale when you are lying down and exhale when you are sitting up and making an effort. 

PUSH UPS; you have to place your hands on the floor,

separate and be sure that they are the same distance apart as your shoulders, or bit more, keep your back straight and flex your elbows. 

SQUATS; you have to keep your back straight, flex your

knees 70-90 degrees and try not to pass the imaginary line at the end of your toes. Physical Education I.E.S. Foramontanos
