VITAMILK

Omega Gold A high performance calf milk replacer formulated to provide the balanced nutrition that gives: - high growth rates - improved health - maximum bloom and condition

VITAMILK Omega Gold Calf nutrition:

This ensures the calf has a plentiful supply of energy for survival and protein for growth. Protein (%)

Calf health:

Young calves are vulnerable to infection and disease from birth up to 60 days. The two main diseases that account for over 70% of calf losses are: 1) Calf Scour (diarrhoea) 2) Pneumonia (respiratory) Calf losses can be reduced through good management and correct nutrition. This is especially important in the newborn calf when immunity is at its lowest. Ensuring adequate colostrum and milk powder intake is vital for health and performance.

VITAMILK Omega Gold Improve calf health and performance:

Care+ is a unique combination of plant extracts and short chain fatty acids. It has been formulated to target specific problems associated with calf rearing: reduce respiratory problems - facilitate easy breathing increase anti-microbial response - reduce the incidence of scour enhance immunity - boost health and growth Care+ works in combination with other specialist ingredients to improve health and performance 1 Lactic acid – lowers the intestinal pH which prevents the growth of harmful micro-organisms. Lactic acid also improves palatability and stability of milk. 2 Omega 3 fatty acids (linseed) – essential long chain fatty acids that enhance the calf immune response and have a beneficial effect on Lactobacillus species (the “good” bacteria in the intestine). 3 MOS (Manno oligosaccharides) - are obtained from yeast cell walls and improve intestinal health and performance. MOS bind to harmful bacteria and are then excreted by the calf leaving a healthier gut. 4 ß glucans - also derived from yeasts, help the calf’s immune system to function more effectively. There are cells within the calf’s gut (macrophages) that ‘eat’ foreign bodies. ß glucans make these cells more active.
