Stuffed animals can sleep over
Ages 6 and older can participate in Grandstaff Library’s free STEAM Makerspace program with science, technology, engineering, arts and math. We meet 4–5 p.m. the first Thursday of the month. Jan. 2, join us for a marshmallow bridge challenge! Participants can uncover interests by making, producing, solving, creating, collaborating and thinking with projects.
Does your child have a favorite stuffed animal? Give those stuffies a good time with a Stuffed-Animal Sleepover at Book Patch Library Tuesday, Jan. 14, 5–7 p.m. If you like, have your kiddos wear their pajamas while they tuck their stuffed pal into bed and wish them sweet dreams. While you’re here, check out our great book collection and take home some great stories. When you return Wednesday, your child’s stuffed animal buddy will have a memory photo of their sleepover! No registration is required.
Teens’ Super Smash Bros. tourney In partnership with Warrior Zone, join Grandstaff Library Saturday, Jan. 4 for a teen-only Super Smash Bros. tournament, open to ages 13–17. Sign-ups for this free event begins at 10 a.m.; participants must be present to play. Prizes will be awarded to the top three players!
It’s Hillside Huskies Month In honor of the Hillside Huskies, we’ll display artwork created by Hillside Elementary School students at Book Patch Library!
