#BLUESTEM CENTER FOR THE ARTS & JADE PRESENTS
About Jade Presents
Our mission is to set the stage for local audiences to experience exceptional live events, enriching the local community, and making it a better place to live.
About Bluestem
Bluestem Center for the Arts is a first-class arts venue complete with outdoor stages, a 3,000 seat amphitheater and a unique indoor educational center that serves as both a performance venue and rental facility. Bluestem is managed by Trollwood Performing Arts School, a program of Fargo Public Schools. Learn more at www.trollwood.org and www.bluestemamphitheater.org.
On any given day at the Bluestem Center for the Arts, visitors will find solace in nature’s natural symphonies. Lush greens, breathtaking views and easy-access parking are not the only part of this gem – the 2022 Essentia Health Presents Bluestem Amphitheater Summer Concert Series produced by Jade Presents continues a strong-as-oak tradition of world-class entertainment to your backyard.
“We always envisioned Bluestem Amphitheater to be our own iconic venue,” Jade Presents President Jade Nielsen said. “If you think of a legendary venue like Red Rocks, you see how that venue has shaped the concert scene in Denver.
“I truly believe we’ve accomplished this same kind of magical experience in our own backyard. We’re so grateful for the community for supporting the music scene. Bluestem has really grown and we’ve never lost sight of bringing the best to Fargo-Moorhead. From the cleanliness of the Bluestem grounds to the ease of purchasing tickets, the sound system, seat locations and of course the
variety we’ve programmed, our team is humbled to do what we do and support the Fargo-Moorhead community.”
Celebrating the ‘Summer Is Lit’ theme, Jade Presents is equally proud to showcase stellar entertainment lineups at The Aquarium, Fargo Theatre, Outdoors at Fargo Brewing, The Hall at Fargo Brewing, Sanctuary Events Center and more. This summer is packed with everything from a local, free singer/ songwriter series, Two-Wheel Tuesdays, Día Del Taco Fest to larger concerts like Brothers Osborne, Hanson, Tedeschi Trucks Band with Los Lobos & Gabe Dixon and so much more.
These community events further not only the economic impact for the local community, but they also cement lasting memories and strengthen our resolve to come together to celebrate. Ignite the soundtrack that fueled your youth. Try a new local brew. Take a chance and make a few new friends at the free concert happening down the street. Light up your summer with experiences. For a full listing of all Jade Presents concerts and events, visit JadePresents.com.

The Downtown Fargo Street Fair celebrates its 46th year in 2022, and this year will be one for the record books! Featuring over 200 artists, crafters and food vendors from around the country, the Downtown Fargo Street Fair is the largest, free outdoor event in the state of North Dakota. This family friendly event is presented by the Downtown Community Partnership, with the help of generous community partners and is the perfect opportunity to explore the heart of Fargo.
From food carts to local brewers, ceramics to yard art and more, there is something for everyone at the Street Fair. Children can enjoy face painting, play in the fountains and take in free music and activities presented by Marvin at Broadway Square. When you’ve explored all the booths up and down Broadway, continue on to discover all of the 70 blocks that make up Downtown Fargo! From art galleries to vintage shops, bars and restaurants and so much more, these small businesses and organizations make every day a Downtown Fargo kind of day.
The fun doesn’t stop there! Join your friends and neighbors for the Live & Local concert presented by H2M on Thursday, July 14th as we kick off Street Fair! This year’s concert features Chase & Ovation, the only Prince cover band to receive the personal blessing of Prince himself.

#FAMILY SUMMER FUN BUCKET LIST #FAMILY SUMMER FUN BUCKET LIST
Summer is an amazing time for families to reconnect, have a lot of fun, and spend time together doing many different things. We all know that summer schedules can fill up fast, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still fit in some good wholesome fun that doesn’t require a lot of planning or time. Lots of people already have summer fun bucket lists that may include some very specific items they want to do, and if you do, that’s wonderful!
If you don’t, here’s a fun list to get you started and make sure you and your family make some fantastic memories along the way.
1
Go camping
Go the simple route and put up a tent in your own backyard or check out some local campgrounds (think state parks like Itasca, Maplewood, Buffalo River, Turtle River (in ND), Lake Ashtabula, or Fort Ransom). No tent or camper? Consider staying in a cabin or a yurt (yes, Fort Ransom has them)!
2
Visit a zoo
Kids love animals, and in the Red River Valley, we’re fortunate to have the Red River Zoo in Fargo as well as nearby Chahinkapa and Dakota Zoo in Bismarck. Willing to travel a bit further? Check out Hemker Park and Zoo in Freeport, Minnesota, or Safari North Wildlife Park in Brainerd.
Go down a water slide
If you’re a fan of water and excitement, water slides are the epitome of childhood fun. Nothing makes you feel more like a kid than flying down a waterway into a pool. Bonus points if you find a place where you can take a double inner tube down a water slide with your child!
Watch fireworks
There’s something nostalgic about fireworks – whether it’s because it reminds us of our country’s fight for independence, delights our senses, or gives us a reason to go back to our hometown celebration.
Play with water balloons
Go ahead and make a mess! Instead of just tossing water balloons at one another, try tying them on strings and hanging them from tree branches for a new type of pinata!
3
4
5
Plant something
Even if it’s just a pot of pretty annuals or as involved as planting a tree, go ahead and get dirty. It’s a great opportunity for kids to learn about the responsibility involved with growing something, and if you’re planting a vegetable, they’ll be delighted to see their hard work rewarded with something tasty to eat!
See a landmark
Maybe it’s something big, like Old Faithful at Yellowstone National Park. Maybe it’s something a little closer to home, like the World’s Largest Buffalo Monument in Jamestown or the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues in Bemidji. The point is to pick something your family thinks would be cool to see in person and add it to your list!
Go fishing
This is a great activity to involve other family members as well to make the occasion even more memorable. No doubt everyone will have a great time and remember it for years to come.
Enjoy ice cream or popsicles
It’s such a simple activity, but one that is inherently related to summer fun. Bonus points for the mess – and memories –your family will make!
Have a movie night outside
You’ll need a projector, but the rest of the supplies are pretty basic – a white sheet to hang as the screen, some blankets or chairs to sit on, plus favorite movie snacks like candy and popcorn. Just cozy in and have a wonderful time watching a great movie with each other!
