JANUARY 2019

PAUL THINKING THOUGHTS Hey Dudes and Dudettes, I hope my words find you well. As we approach a new year together, I am thankful for all the experiences relating to the arts we’ve had and I am eager to discover all the wonders 2019 has in stored for art lovers throughout the region and beyond. There will be many festivals, concerts, exhibitions, and theater to fill our hearts and I’m sure you’ll joyously embrace them as much as I; if not more so. And, The Forwardian Gazette will be there each month to let you know what’s going on so you will have an opportunity to enjoy all the arts have to offer. In addition to our calendar of upcoming experiences, I hope to expand the publication so it may offer some news and insights to the artistic endeavor. I would like to have a printed version of the magazine so it can be distributed and read by those who prefer to handle a physical manifestation of the magazine. Also, I would like to see articles published in The Forwardian Gazette about the creative community and all it does. These articles would include interviews with artists, musicians, and so forth, Spotlights on venues and their endeavors, and insightful commentaries on the arts and the meaningfulness it possess. You’ll find a special section in this issue relating to all of the managerial positions we have open. In addition to these, we are looking for individuals who would like to write the sort of articles I’ve just described. It would be wonderful to learn your insightful thoughts as expressed through your words. I’m sure many will benefit from them and I’m hopeful 2019 will be the year your sharings. Speaking of 2019, I’m very excited that The Forwardian Film Festival will soon begin accepting submissions on January 3rd. We’ve received some truly outstanding work last year which made it a great challenge for the small number of friends to select which ones our of the 3000 plus submission we received would be shown for our 2018 Festival. need your help in selecting the films we’ll be screening at our festival. We loved doing it but boy was it overwhelming. So, this time around I would like to invite you to be a part of the selection process. All you need to is send me your email address and I’ll add you to a list of people who will have access to the films so you can view them as they come in. My email address is forwardian@hotmail.com. I’m hopeful individuals, like yourself, will join us in experiencing some truly incredible cinematic wonders as your thoughts on what should be included in this year’s festival would be deeply appreci ated. It is a wonderful honor and joy to begin a new year with you while simultaneously celebrating the current year and all that transpired with you. Please feel free to write us and let us know how your 2018 went and what wonderful opportunities await you in 2019 as you go forward toward you creative dreams. Happy New Year to you all. Let’s Art. Well, that’s all from me for now. How are you? Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about this publica tion, The Forwardian Arts Society, or anything at all. I promise to tell you everything. I would make a terrible spy. I look forward to hearing from you soon and I'll keep a good thought for you until then. Therefore, our fellowship shares a desire to support, encourage, and explore the artistic experiences of creative individuals and groups as they go forward toward their dreams.” Mission Statement

Do you like watching films? Lots of films? On your own computer of digital device? Would you like to play an instrumental role in selecting the films that will be show during the 2019 Forwardian Film Festival?

As our mission statement suggests, The Forwardian Arts Society is a fellowship for people who love the arts. Well then, this invitation is for you. We will begin accepting submissions of films from around the world for the 2019 Forwardian Film Festival on Thursday January 3rd. We’ll continue to do so until Saturday June 1st.
