JUNE 2019
OMG. IT’S PAUL THINKING THOUGHTS Hey Dudes and Dudettes, I hope my words find you well. Ah, although there is still a seasonal chill in the air at times, the warm winds and sunshine of Summer approaches those of us in The Northeast PA area and brings with it the wonders the season offers. The month of May is quickly dissolving into wonderful memories of all the art related events and seasonal beginnings it brought to us while the Month of June approaches bringing with it the even grander aspects of the of the Summer Season including it’s official Genesis. June will also bring about the 60th Birthday of our Forwardian Dude, Paul Adam Smeltz, which could be why he often begins these missives writing about the weather. What an Old Art he is. Anyways, as you can see by reading our magazine, there is a lot going on this month. More Festivals and outdoor concerts will be springing (or should we say Summering) up around us. Plein Air Painting Sessions will become plentiful including those initiated by The Forwardian Plein Air Heads group. Photographers will begin their seasonal escapades exploring the wonders of nature including members of the Forwardian F Stops. The planning of excursions to be embarked upon by these groups will soon begin and you can lend your voice and insights to these endeavors by contacting us at 570-269-3348 or forwardian@hotmail.com. In the meantime, the submission deadline for The Forwardian Film Festival of June 1 st will soon occur and the wonderful process of finalizing our selections of what films will be shown will take place. The next step will be performing the happy task of informing those who sent us their work who will be a part of the festival. We’re looking forward to doing that. So, if you or someone you know would like to have their work entered for consideration, now would be a good time to do it. We would be honored to receive it. Let’s Art. Well, that’s all from me for now. How are you? Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about this publication, The Forwardian Arts Society, or anything at all. I promise to tell you everything. I would make a terrible spy. I look forward to hearing from you soon and I'll keep a good thought for you until then. Going Forwardian with you Paul Adam Smeltz The Forwardian Arts Society

You can see him almost anywhere there's an artists' reception being held, a play being presented, or a concert being performed with his camera. He posts the photographs he takes on his Social Networks. He says, "The reason I do this is twofold.
