PAUL THINKING THOUGHTS Hey Dudes and Dudettes, I hope my words find you well. Well, the month designating our 17th Anniversary as a Fellowship for People who love the arts will soon fade away. This will bring about new adventures and avenues to explore. Our desire to Encourage individuals and group to explore their artistic dimensions will increase as will our desire to Support their endeavors. And, we will continue to Love them. It’s been a wonderful 17 years filled with Encouragement, Support, and Love and it is my deepest hope that our fellowship will have the ability to provide these elements to those creative souls who are in need of them. We recently held our Annual Forwardian Film Festival at the Antoine Dutot Gallery and Museum in Delaware Water Gap, PA. Although there were a lot of technical difficulties and a small turnout, it was a lot of fun as it afforded some individuals to see films they would normally not see. I’m looking forward to next year’s festival and I will endeavor to make the process of creating the festival more efficient and publicize it more thoroughly. I embrace my mistakes as they can led me to the betterment of our fellowship. In the meantime, you’ll find a wonderful article written about the festival by one of our judges, Tamara Dunn, on our website. It is a thoughtful and honest recount of the event and I recommend reading it. It was good for me to read something we’ve done as a fellowship from a perspective other than my own. This has inspired me to act upon something I’ve been waiting to do for a long time. Although I enjoy writing article reflecting my experiences in the arts, I’ve always felt that my voice should not be the only voice reflecting these experiences. Other voices with other perspectives should be heard/read as well. Ms. Dunn’s words illustrated to me how individuals can be touched by the good writing of others who have a fresh and unique approach to their stories. So, it’s with that that I will post the photographs I take at the events I attend along with a modestly detailed description included in the Gallery’s summary. I will leave the conveyance of all that took place and the reflec tions that were inspired by the experience in the more than capable hands of the numerous talented writers who I will be happy to embrace as we publish their words. I hope you’ll be among them. Feel free to contact me for more information. Well, that’s all from me for now. How are you? Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about this publication, The Forwardian Arts Society, or anything at all. I promise to tell you everything. I would make a terrible spy. I look forward to hearing from you soon and I'll keep a good thought for you until then. Going Forwardian with you Paul Adam Smeltz The Forwardian Arts Society
