CARNIVAL RIO DE JANEIRO

—2013 — “Fotomiles is delighted to take you to Rio de janeiro in FEB 2013 DURING THE MOST EXCITING AND TRADITIONAL HOLYDAY OF THE YEAR - CARNIVAL

C

arnival in Rio de Janeiro is a world famous festival held before Lent every year and considered the biggest carnival in the world with people dancing, having fun and celebrating life all over the streets of Rio. This is a fantastic time to visit and photographically document Brazil. The country stops completely for almost a week of holiday and festivities are intense, day and night. The Carnival is everywhere. Carnival in Rio offers a colorful, exotic, magnificent display of emotions filled with music, dance, performances and outlandish costumes parades. At its

centre is the grand Samba Parade held at the Sambodormo where 12 of the most talented Samba schools compete for the title of best Carnival Samba school. The Samba Schools enter from one end of the avenue and spend 70 minutes parading down the entire avenue while the crowds go wild up in the stands. On top of that, there are lively and invigorating street parties or parades around the city free of cost to anyone who wants to have a good time with the locals or cariocas. To say the least, this is a must-see event of all time.

WWW.FOTOMILES.NE T

Rio de Janeiro, the second largest city in Brazil, is certainly one of the most extraordinary cities in the world. Its spectacular landmarks, vibrant colors, strikingly diverse cityscape invite everyone to get their cameras out and photograph. Often noticed, the visual curves of its hills and mountains – the Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer, the waves of Copacabana pavement - majestically lead our eyes to the Cariocas’ sculpted beach bodies. Fotomiles is delighted to give all fellow participants the opportunity to experience and learn more about Brazil’s diverse culture and immense country, besides the chance to take home a memorable collection of images.
