“Dancing Life” is a current personal

After moving to Miami in 2009 and
delving into her photography career,
Cuba became a recurrent subject of
inspiration for Mayra not only because
of its unique history, almost like and
intersection in time between the past,
present and future, but also because
of its amazing similarities to Brazil, her
country of origin.
This collection of images depicts the
dancers of the famous Tropicana Club
in Havana in their dazzle, beautiful yet
complicated performances. Perhaps
a truthful representation of their own
