Jeff Genthner Senior Vice President, General Manager

This is an exciting time of year for us at the FOX Sports Regional Networks, as we brought home two trophies from the 2014 College Sports Media Awards on May 28. In addition, we received 15 Southeast Regional EMMY nominations in 10 categories, attributable to the work we do with all of our team and conference partners. We appreciate your efforts in allowing us to create the wonderful content we share with fans every day.

Last month, the Charlotte Bobcats moved forward with renaming the team and officially returned as the Charlotte Hornets. As part of their rebranding efforts, the organization will Swarm to Serve by facilitating an all-staff Day of Service on June 9 to beautify local schools and honor teachers in the Charlotte Mecklenburg school district. Members of the FOX Sports South staff will also be on hand to volunteer for the day’s activities. Community service efforts also remained close to home as the Atlanta Dream hosted a Fit Clinic as part of WNBA Cares Week at the Georgia Dome on May 13 for over 1,000 After-School All-Stars Atlanta students. The event was a huge success and we were proud to take part in such a great cause. The Atlanta Braves season is now entering its third month and we have already witnessed several Great Moments. A “milestone moment” to track during the month of June is closer Craig Kimbrel surpassing former pitcher and current FOX Sports analyst John Smoltz’s alltime Braves saves record. The Braves closer tied the record of 154 saves on Saturday, May 31 on FOX Sports 1 and will inevitably set a new Braves record during the 2014 season.
