Great Moments Happening Around the Southeast

Over the last month you may have noticed our new tagline “Great Moments Happen Here” -- and that is exactly what our team partners have consistently provided fans in recent weeks. With the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies and Charlotte Bobcats making splashes in the NBA Playoffs to the Braves late-inning heroics, we have witnessed some incredible moments and look forward to many more to come. Jeff Genthner Senior Vice President, General Manager

With our first month of Atlanta Braves baseball behind us, we hope you have also noticed a few changes within our telecasts, underscoring one of our main themes for this season. We have made an effort at FOX Sports to make all MLB telecasts look the same, have the same feel and provide a consistent brand across the regional networks, FOX Sports 1, and FOX Broadcasting Network.

In April we also had the opportunity to bring the Phantom Cam to Turner Field, which provides incredible super slo-mo video. If you missed it, the Phantom Cam will be on our networks 13 times in May for Braves baseball games. In other production news, we have upgraded our production truck, which now includes 12 HD cameras. We have also added a wireless camera that gives us the ability to visit new areas around Turner Field and give fans a unique viewing experience. On the Braves LIVE set, we have added a second camera to enhance our production of the pre- and postgame shows.

Jeff Teague named NBA Player of the Week (April 7-13)

Wes Durham named NSSA Georgia Sportscaster of the Year

Shifting to college baseball, for the 10th straight year FOX Sports South will take part in the annual Kauffman Tire Spring Classic for Kids, pitting Georgia Tech against Georgia at Turner Field. The game will take place on Tuesday, May 13th at 7 p.m. ET and will air on FOX Sports South. We are excited to be involved with this fundraising event where proceeds benefit the pediatric research of the Children’s Neurosciences Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). Moving beyond baseball, we want to take this chance to congratulate our ACC football and men’s basketball play-by-play analyst Wes Durham, who was named the National Sportscasters and Sportwriters Association (NSSA) Georgia Sportscaster of the Year for the ninth time in his illustrious career. Durham will be recognized in June during the NSSA Awards Weekend in Salisbury, N.C.

Manny Malhotra named finalist for Masterton Trophy

FOX Sports Regional Networks Partnership Highlights The FOX Sports South sales team continues to attract advertisers to Braves telecasts with the goal of reaching sports fans throughout the Southeast. Returning to FOX Sports South after several years, Indianapolis-based appliances and electronics retailer hhgregg will be seen in Braves telecasts throughout the season. Along with hhgregg, Hyundai will have a presence in all FOX Sports South Braves games along with execution of the “Hyundai Sunday” program, complete with in-game elements and an on-site vehicle display at Turner Field. It has been a big year for Hyundai, who earlier in the year sponsored both The Panel and The NEW College Football Show: Next Class 2014.
