Lanterns lit up the night sky around me. From red to yellow, I could see that all of the walk's participants were really into the cause. As I was walking, I high-fived every Division 30 South Key Clubber with my Key Club. There were literally hundreds of them, and they were so spirited! I really enjoyed how everyone was so into the event. It felt similar to March for Babies initially, yet I found Light the Night to be such a fun and entertaining event. I'm glad I attended. Andrew Oeung, Edison HS
After the September Division Council Meeting, we dispersed and took a break before the Light the Night walk. At 6:30PM, I gathered all Fountain Valley Key Club members together and walked with them until we finished the entire walk. The walk lasted around an hour and a half. After the walk, we all hung out and danced at the stage because they were blasting music. I really loved the Light the Night even because I got closer with most of the fresh men. I could tell that they really enjoyed the event and l looked forward to more events in Key Club! Kelton Do. Fountain Valley

Light the Night was a very fun event, and the first Key Club Event I have been to this year! It was a great way to socialize with members from other schools. It was a great opportunity to learn what other clubs were doing. From the DCM, I was given great ideas on how to improve my club! In addition, we were fundraising for a good cause. I, myself, as well as other Key Clubbers walked around the entire Angel’s Stadium. It was a great experience, and I look forward to participating once more next year! Branden Song Huntington Beach
Light the Night has been one of my favorite events since my freshman year! This year, over 200 Key Clubbers from Division 4 West gathered together to celebrate our first event of the school year! Mater Dei itself had over 60 Key Clubbers show up! Many of the current freshman were very excited to see what Key Club was all about, and I had fun seeing many old friends, and making new ones! We were able to celebrate how much we have contributed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, and in the end, it was one of the most successful events so far! Frank Le Mater Dei

CHILDREN’S
On September 28th, Marina Key Club along with other divisions within Region 3 gathered at OCC for its annual book festival. Orange County’s Children’s Book Festival is a day filled with several different festivities that encourage children to become more curious and want to learn. Though we did not have a big turn out, we still enjoyed the experience overall. At arrival each of us received a task to take care of. I was chosen to direct traffic and point the fair goers to the right direction. At first I was by myself, but soon later I was accompanied by another volunteer whom I became friends with. I enjoyed my time volunteering at the OC Children’s Book Festival and would recommend everyone to volunteer next year when we return. Francisco Edeza, Marina

What was RTC? For me, it was about learning new subjects, meeting new people from my region and doing some funky cheers. As any other freshmen would be, I was excited yet nervous throughout the entire day. After the lengthy lecture, I went with some friends and discussed workshops that we were intrigued by, but shorty came to no effort as there were recommended workshops for us first year clubbers. Key Club 101 was the first workshop, and perhaps the most insightful that I went to. I got to learn the basics about the club I serve, and what we’re all about. Next up was Public Speaking, where I learned that milk makes your throat dry. It gave me very helpful tips about projecting my voice. The 3rd one was the most inspiring, BEEing A Leader, and it vastly encouraged me to follow my dreams and not be influenced by other inferiorities. Last was Magic. Magic was definitely the most amusing workshop to attend and no doubt the most refreshing. All in all, RTC was a great event because I got to learn and make new Key Club friends!
