John, Jack Cole’s brother will return to the doctor, after a two week break of rest, to begin chemotherapy. He was treated by radiation for two spots on his brain and one large spot on his lung. This coming Tuesday, August 18th at 11:30 a.m., Orange Avenue is hosting the teachers and staff of Eustis Heights Elementary School for lunch. We will serve them at the school cafeteria. Julie Chivleatto needs volunteers and all volunteers to bring a pan of brownies. This is the first of several opportunities coming up for us to get into the community and serve others in the name of Jesus. If you can’t help out with this, please pray about it and ask God to bless our efforts.

Wednesday night meals will begin on September 9th and continue through December 9th. The meal is a fund raiser to support youth activities and mission trips. If you can prepare a meal please contact Kent Means. kent.means@mdcacademy.org Sharon and Murray Banton, former housekeepers at the mission house in Jamaica, are in dire need of help in repairing the house they have been living in since March. The house is 14’ x 14’. It is owned by Murray’s father. They want to add a 14’ X 14’ addition. Murray can do the work, but needs help purchasing materials. Phil Barnes and I estimate the cost to be around $2,500. ($600 has already been given to them.) Can Orange Avenue members contribute $1,000 toward this need? The $85.00 SonQuest cost covers a $35.00 registration fee and $50.00 for the hotel. Other money will be needed for the meals/souvenirs while in Orlando. We will have breakfast provided, so that leaves 4 other meals including Sunday lunch.($20-$30 dollars should be sufficient).
