Please keep Kim Barnes in your prayers, as she continues fighting the infection in her sinus cavity, and the issues concerning her back. She is not “Sick at home”, but she needs our continued prayers for complete healing. 35623 Calla Court, Leesburg, 34788. Please pray for continued healing of Barbara Clemons, as she recovers at Edgewater at Waterman Village Rehab, 300 Brookfield Avenue, Mount Dora, 32757. She is in Room #111A. She is expected to be in rehab for at least 1-2 more weeks. Please keep Rufus in your prayers as well. Their home address is 2358 Wakefield Way, Mount Dora, 32757. John, Jack Cole’s brother will return to the doctor, after a two week break of rest, to begin chemotherapy. He was treated by radiation for two spots on his brain and one large spot on his lung. John is looking at a long treatment process. He is optimistic and depends on our Savior for comfort. 2550 Old Finger Road, Finger, TN, 38334 Phyllis English needs our prayers. She has been unable to attend services because of pain from arthritis. Please pray for Phyllis. 421 S. Central Avenue, Umatilla, 32784. Please continue to pray for Sara and Steve Norfleet. 2228 Dogwood Circle, Mount Dora, 32757. Sissy McWhirt’s mother Nettie Shelburne is in hospice care. Please keep the entire McWhirt and Shelburne families in your prayers during this very difficult time. Nettie’s address is 2117 Jackson St., Hopewell, VA 23860. Seth Mohorn, grandson of Marie Shockley, is still waiting for his latest CT scan results. Please keep the Mohorn family in your prayers. Please pray for Jerry Payne who had back X-rays, an MRI and CT Scan on Tuesday, August 11th. The results should be able to tell him if he will need another back surgery or not. 1175 Bay Rd. #71, Mount Dora, 32757. Please keep Joy Shepherd and her family in your prayers. Her mom, who lives in Alabama is not doing well. Joy is with her, and doesn’t know how long she will be there. Eloise Spivy’s address is 811 20th Avenue E, Jasper, AL 35502-4070. Randal Spencer is having trouble with maintaining his sugar levels. Rebecca has been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease with several bulging discs in her back. This coming Tuesday, August 18th at 11:30 a.m., Orange Avenue is hosting the teachers and staff of Eustis Heights Elementary School for lunch. We will serve them at the school cafeteria. Julie Chivleatto needs volunteers and all volunteers to bring a pan of brownies. This is the first of several opportunities coming up for us to get into the community and serve others in the name of Jesus. If you can’t help out with this, please pray about it and ask God to bless our efforts.

Wednesday night meals will begin on September 9th and continue through December 9th. The meal is a fund raiser to support youth activities and mission trips. If you can prepare a meal please contact Kent Means. kent.means@mdcacademy.org Sharon and Murray Banton, former housekeepers at the mission house in Jamaica, are in dire need of help in repairing the house they have been living in since March. The house is 14’ x 14’. It is owned by Murray’s father. They want to add a 14’ X 14’ addition. Murray can do the work, but needs help purchasing materials. Phil Barnes and I estimate the cost to be around $2,500. ($600 has already been given to them.) Can Orange Avenue members contribute $1,000 toward this need? Saturday, August 22, 2015: Mobile Food Pantry-8:15 am until 11:30 am; Henderson House Fence Demo 12:30 pm-2:00 pm. SonQuest is September 4-6, 2015: Please turn your $85.00 in for SonQuest!! The $85.00 SonQuest cost covers a $35.00 registration fee and $50.00 for the hotel. Other money will be needed for the meals/souvenirs while in Orlando. We will have breakfast provided, so that leaves 4 other meals including Sunday lunch.($20-$30 dollars should be sufficient). We are leaving at 5:00 p.m., Friday night from the Orange Avenue parking lot. If there are any other issues that need to be addressed my number is 865-206-3167. Sunday, September 13, 2015: First 2:42 meeting. Students will be attending small groups with their families for the first 6 weeks, as of now.
