Church Directory Information

Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 2:42 Meeting-TONIGHT Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015 Wednesday Night Meal Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015

The new Orange Ave. Church Directory is done! Beginning today you can access the latest contact information of the Orange Ave. membership in two easy ways. The first is via the church website. The web address is www.myoacoc.org. When you are ready look in the top right corner and click on “Create Login”. This will take you to a screen that will ask for some basic information to create a login for you. This login is necessary to use several features, such as the online church directory and Sunday Bulletin. When you submit the login request an email will be sent to you requesting you to verify your account. Once you verify your account it will take about 24 hours to get you added. You will receive an email once you have been added.

Why do I have to create a login?

Eustis Heights Media Center Friday, Sept. 25, 2015

Some of the information on the website contains personal information that we want to protect from hackers, scammers and data miners, such as the church directory. By requiring you to login we can protect your information. Once you register once you won’t have to do it again.

Once your login is established you are ready to access the directory. Do this by: 1.

Clicking on the button at the top of homepage “MYOACOC”. When you do that a menu will drop down, then click on the button “Member Directory”.

2.

You will be asked to enter a “key”. Type in 1511orange and you will have access to the directory.

The second way you can access the church directory is by picking up a paper copy. Please stop by Orange Central to get yours. We have enough for one per family. If you don’t think you will use a hardcopy then please don’t pick one up. This is a way we can keep our cost down. 242 Small Group Lessons You access the lessons by clicking on the button at the top “Bible Study”. Then click on “242 Small Groups”. This will open a page with links to the current 242 group lesson. Thanks to Andy Holmes for working very hard in getting our website up, running and amazing. There are several other goodies coming in the future and I can’t wait to share them with you. Blessings, Phil

Good Morning, Guests we are very happy that you have chosen to worship with us today. We pray that God will send us many visitors, each Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. You encourage us by your presence, and we hope that our worship together will be a spiritual boost for you. Attendance cards are available in the pockets on the back of each pew, and also in front of some of the pew bibles. Please fill out the side labeled Welcome Guests completely and place it in the collection tray. Thank you for leaving us this record of your visit. Our prayer is that you will visit with us again soon. MEMBERS: It is especially important to fill out the Members side of the card and leave us a record of your attendance as well. Thank you, so much.

Out of respect for our worship service to God, our Father, please turn off all cell phones. Thank you!

Updates and Prayer Requests: Sympathy to:

It is with tremendous sadness that we report the death of Scott Oughterson’s father, William A., “Bill” Oughterson. He was born November 3, 1926 and he passed away Monday, September 15, 2015, in Stuart, Florida. A celebration of Mr. Oughterson’s life will be held Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 am, at the First Presbyterian Church of Stuart, 1715 NW Pine Lake Drive, Stuart, Florida. In Lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations sent to Treasure Coast Hospice or the First Presbyterian Church of Stuart. Please view the entire obituary online at www.martinfuneralhomecrematory.com “Go Gators, Mr. Oughterson!” We extend our sympathy to the family of Bob Fellers. His funeral service was Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:30 pm at the Mt. Dora Church of Christ. Bob and Susan were members at Orange Avenue for a long time. Bob passed away last week. Susan was a long time teacher at CH & BS. (Please excuse the late notice.) Please add Marie Shockley to the Shut-In List. If you need a copy of our Prayer List & Birthday List, please pick one up at OCentral.

As you definitely know, we launched our newest ministry, 242 Small Groups, this past Sunday. We had 13 groups meet with a total of 181 participants!!! The feedback from many of you has been overwhelmingly positive. You are studying the Bible together, meeting and really getting to know new people in your life, and from what I have heard eating some seriously delicious meals together. It isn’t too late to join in a group, just see Phil Barnes for the details. Mount Dora Christian Academy Chicken Supper Friday, September 25, 2015 4:00-7:00 PM at Emily C. Last month, Jack Cole made a plea to our Orange Ave. Family to help with the improvement of a Jamaican families living conditions. The whole family was living in a house of about 150 square feet. You responded with that typical OA generosity. Murray and Sharon Banton have more than doubled their living space and have a good waterproof roof. Thanks again for your response to someone in need. Thanks, Phil
