1.
Meekness is strength under control.
“So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives. Isn’t the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.” --Genesis 13.8-9 2.
We think meekness is a way we act, but it’s really our attitude toward God.

"When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered he made no threats. Good Morning, Guests we are very happy that you have chosen to worship with us today. We pray that God will send us many visitors, each Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. You encourage us by your presence, and we hope that our worship together will be a spiritual boost for you. Attendance cards are available in the pockets on the back of each pew, and also in front of some of the pew bibles. Please fill out the side labeled Welcome Guests completely and place it in the collection tray. Thank you for leaving us this record of your visit. Our prayer is that you will visit with us again soon. MEMBERS: It is especially important to fill out the Members side of the card and leave us a record of your attendance as well. Thank you, so much.
Out of respect for our worship service to God, our Father, please turn off all cell phones. Thank you!

Updates and Prayer Requests:
It is with tremendous sadness that we report the death of Chris Beechs’ 95 year old, grandmother, Rowena V. Horton Delidle, of Apopka, Florida. She was born July 18, 1920 and she passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Apopka, Florida. A funeral service was held for Ms. Delidle on September 12, 2015 in Etowah, Tennessee. Because there are several family members in this area who were unable to attend the Memorial Service in Tennessee, a celebration of Rowena Delidle’s life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 am, at Orange Avenue Church of Christ. Phil Barnes will officiate. Everyone is invited to attend. Please keep the Beech family in your prayers. 2825 Westland Rd., Mount Dora, 32757.
More Information: Please look over the Prayer List & Anniversary/Birthday List that was inserted into this bulletin. Please let the office know if there are any mistakes on the calendar or if any names need to be added or taken off of the prayer list. Please pick up an October Worship Schedule at OCentral.
As you know, we launched our newest ministry, 242 Small Groups, 2 weeks ago this past Sunday. The feedback from many of you has been overwhelmingly positive. You are studying the Bible together, meeting and really getting to know new people in your life, and from what I have heard eating some seriously delicious meals together. It isn’t too late to join in a group, just see Phil Barnes for the details.

The two copiers in the Resource room are both working. If the tallest one needs toner, or is not working, please call Dru or Bill Baker. If the smaller one is not working please let the office know immediately. The office will call a repairman to come out and fix the copier that is located on the table in the resource room. The repairman was out here on Thursday and repaired the copier. We have ordered more of “The Daily Bible in Chronological Order with 365 Daily Readings. It has devotional insights to guide you through God’s Word. It is unlike any other Bible you have read. As this unique, chronological presentation of God’s story daily unfolds before you, you will begin to appreciate God’s plan for your life as never before. Reading the Bible will become a fresh, inviting, transformational experience.” I believe 10 Bibles were ordered, so please let the office know if you would like to have one. This is the Bible that our ladies’ Bible class is using. These Bibles make great birthday and Christmas gifts. Please bear with the church office and my ever changing email address. My orangeoffice@reagan has completely crashed. For now please send all email correspondence to debijo@mac.com I’m very sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope to have the final email address up and running by next week. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
