The Angels in Heaven rejoiced as we all did when Aijalon (Nico) Carrasco, son of Thurman and Simone Baker made the decision Sunday morning , February 8, 2015 to give his life to Jesus through baptism for the remission of his sins. His dad, Thurman Baker had the privilege of baptizing him. Please find Nico and welcome him to God’s family, and his new family of brothers and sisters at Orange Avenue! If you haven’t met Nico, you have missed a blessing! What a wonderful, talented and remarkable young man he is. Cards acknowledging the most important decision of his life can be addressed to Aijalon Carrasco, 32505 Joy Haven Road, Leesburg, 34788. It is great to serve a risen Savior!! A Note of Thanks: The family of Cletus and Carolyn Stutzman expresses its gratitude to the Orange Avenue Church for its gracious support at the sudden death of its foster son, James (Jimmy) Wert on Friday, January 30. Expressions of condolence and support were evident in so many ways: food, visits, telephone calls, cards and prayers. The family suggests that in place of flowers, a gift to Christian Home and Bible School, James Wert Memorial Fund would be appreciated. The funds from this account would go towards the improvement and expansion of the Track and Field facility at C.H. & B.S. This was James’ special interest. We love the Orange Avenue church family for its charitable and loving response.

“Excerpts from Kayla Mueller’s last hand-written letter to her family during captivity.” Courtesy of FoxNews.Com: “I remember mom always telling me that all in all in the end the only one you really have is God. I have come to a place in experience where, in every sense of the word, I have surrendered myself to our creator b/c literally there was no else…+ by God + by your prayers I have felt tenderly cradled in freefall. I have been shown in darkness, light + have learned that even in prison, one can be free. I am grateful. I have come to see that there is good in every situation, sometimes we just have to look for it. I pray each day that if nothing else, you have felt a certain closeness + surrender to God as well + have formed a bond of love + support amongst one another…...The thought of your pain is the source of my own, simultaneously the hope of our reunion is the source of my strength. Please be patient, give your pain to God. I know you would want me to remain strong. That is exactly what I am doing. Do not fear for me, continue to pray as will I + by God’s will we will be together soon. All my everything, Kayla”
