Thank you for attending the latest FORWARDER event in Heathrow. It always feels like the perfect setting for an event in our industry, with Heathrow being one of the world's busiest and strategically important logistics hubs in the world.
Of equal importance too is how companies in our sector are doing what they can to mitigate their impact on the environment. The UK government has an ambitious net zero target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 100 per cent by 2050, so there is work for all of us to do. Which is why we have chosen sustainability as the theme for this event and we have some excellent speakers who will be tackling the tough questions on this subject.
I'm sure, like me, you're dedicated to learning and implementing the best practices we can adopt to help safeguard the future of our planet.

Paul joined the Chartered Institute in May 2022 to build its profile and brand in Wales. He sits on Welsh Government’s Trade Policy Advisor Group (TPAG) and is a member of the Wales Business Council. Paul now leads colleagues who build the profile and brand of the Chartered Institute across the United Kingdom and within the UK Manufacturing sector.

Tommy has a diverse and growing portfolio, working with SMEs, owner managed businesses, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders, and he is pleased to still act for a number of clients for whom he first started looking after as a trainee. Tommy is also part of Azets’s ABAS team, assessing and advising businesses on opportunities such as cloud computing and inward investment in the UK.

I have worked in International Trade for nearly 26 years, starting in September 1998 processing EU Certificates of Origin. Over the years, I expanded my expertise in international trade documents, handling Arab Certificates of Origin, EUR1’s, and ATA Carnets. After a few years, I also started processing documents for Letters of Credit. Recently, I added import and export Customs Declarations, as well as GMR’s, to my skill set.

Under his leadership, The Gregory Group achieved alignment with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and facilitated a 24% reduction in carbon intensity.
