Scouts Popcorn Tasting: Sunday, October 20 The Boy Scouts will hold their annual popcorn tasting in the fellowship hall immediately after worship on Sunday, October 20. Come enjoy the popcorn and support the Boy Scouts. 2013 Crop Walk The 2013 Crop Walk is Sunday, October 20 at Corpening Plaza. The youth plan to participate again this year. We welcome any member who would like to walk with us. If you can’t walk, we hope you can help support the youth by donating to them. Flower Calendar for 2014 If you plan to put flowers in the Sanctuary during 2014, as always dates are filled on a first come basis. Please contact Debbie Boyan (996-1296) ASAP.

Senior Friends Trip to Asheboro on Thursday, October 17 They will be touring the Malt-O-Meal factory, enjoying lunch and fellowship with each other. Contact Betty Robbins for details and if you plan to go . Men’s Fellowship Fish Fry Saturday, October 19 — 5:00-7:30 p.m. All you care to eat. Adults: $10, Ages 12-5: $5, Ages under 5 eat free. Mission Prayer Focus Pray for Bridge’s International Missionaries at Texas A&M to have opportunities to share their faith hundreds of times during October. Pray for the Bible discussion groups to grow and for students to be convicted of sin and drawn to Jesus as they spend time reading God’s word. At the request of the Elders to preserve the dignity of worship, please silence your cell-phone, refrain from taking pictures and do not bring food or drinks into the Sanctuary.

Blood Pressure Screening will be held on Sunday, October 27 at 9:30, 10:30 and Noon. The Adult Choir is currently preparing music for the Christmas season, including the cantata to be presented in worship on December 15th. Any vocalist is welcome to join us at anytime, and this special invitation is being extended if you would consider singing with us during Advent and Christmas.
