Kick-off for Stewardship Emphasis 2013 September 29—Morning Worship As we begin the Fall Months, we are acutely aware of our dependence upon our Lord. The Lord has been our Guide and has blessed us richly throughout the year. How do we look at the blessings we have received? In 1 Timothy the writer of the epistle reminds us of how to approach our blessings and riches received from God’s Hand. Speaking about those who enjoy riches in this life, he states:

“They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.” Thus, these words speak to our reward, not in this life but in the next as Christians. But he also speaks of our foundation in faith… a life of service in good deeds, living generous lives and trying our best to obtain a life truly worth living as people of faith. Join us on Sunday, September 29th when we begin to consider how best to serve God and serve others through our love gifts. This will serve as our kick off for our 2013 Stewardship Campaign and each month we will feature another event or gathering to support our efforts.
