Sympathy Our sympathy and prayers are with Ruth Pitts and her family with the loss of her sister, Maxine Pitts Stewart, who passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013. And, the congregation expresses its sympathy to the family of Lucille Garvin who passed away Wednesday, June 26 in Easley, South Carolina. She was the grandmother of Jesse Garvin and the great grandmother of Aiden, Bailey and Cameron Garvin. The Youth trip to Costa Rica is almost here. The money is raised, tickets bought, and plans ready. Keep praying and especially pray on July 24th –July 31st. May God be with Joe Poston and Barbara Norman as they lead and guide Kathleen Sawtelle, Jacqueline Poston, Scotty Poston, Jackson Pace, and Sarah Wilson (niece of Barbara Norman) as they make this mission trip. Many THANKS to all who participated in the many fund -raising efforts. Thank you for your generosity to this effort which we truly believe has been the work of GOD. ONE HUNDRED dresses were made for them to take by the women of the Church. THANKS. Mission Camp has a good group going with two adults. Mission Moments - July 2013 Praise God for two wonderful sermons by Michael Brent. What a wonderful visit on two Sundays with his family. His sermons challenge us to live a better life through Jesus Christ. If you want to be a part of his sharing the gospel with others in the dark country of Bosnia that is predominantly Muslim and in Croatia where it is National Catholic (that’s different from our traditional Catholic Church) please consider becoming a Partner with his work. He and Brenda have to raise all their money each year to continue in this work. If you have questions you can go online to CRU or talk to Scott or Sarah Brent. Pray that GOD will continue to provide the resources from those who believe in this MISSION. We also look forward to the Summer visit from Charlie and Vicki Brent and their family. His work is quite different from that of Michael as it involves training Asian Nationals who are in the United States and will be returning to their Native Lands to spread the Gospel. These young people are always in danger when they attempt to share the gospel with their family and friends. Pray for their ministry and think also about becoming a financial partner with Charlie and Vickie. Also, you can do this on line by going to CRU. For your information, the Moravian Board of World Missions provides very limited financial assistance to Missionaries in Foreign Countries. At this time, there are only two and one-half missionaries funded by the Moravian Board of World Missions. Most Moravian Mission efforts are supported by individuals and local churches.
