Die Obstbauern der Elbe-Obst im Alten Land produzieren Kern-, Stein- und Beerenobst auf den nährstoffreichen Böden im Urstromtal der Elbe. Das Alte Land in Norddeutschland ist das größte zusammenhängende Obstanbaugebiet Europas.
Die Bü ndelung, Sortierung, Aufbereitung und der Vertrieb des Obstes ist die Kernkompetenz der Elbe-Obst. Beliefert wird der Lebensmitteleinzelhandel, der Exportmarkt, der Convenience-Sektor und die verarbeitende Industrie. Mit der Zusammenfassung von Erzeuger-Know-how und Vertriebskompetenz bietet die Elbe-Obst „Anbau und Vermarktung aus einer Hand“.
Der Apfel ist das Hauptprodukt. Neben den klassischen Apfelsorten wie Elstar, Jonagold, Jonagored, Braeburn, Roter Boskoop, Holsteiner Cox und Co. gehö ren auch Markensorten wie Red Prince® und Kanzi® zum Sortiment. Von der Red Apple Germany werden der Miniaturapfel Rockit® und der rotfl eischige Kissabel® vermarktet. Neu hinzu gekommen sind die Apfelmarken Fräulein und SweeTango® bei der Deutsches Obstsorten Konsortium GmbH.
The fruit growers of Elbe-Obst in the Alte Land area produce pipfruit, stonefruit and soft fruit on nutrient-rich soils in the glacial valley of the Elbe River. The Altes Land region in northern Germany is the largest contiguous fruit-growing area in Europe.
The core competence of Elbe-Obst is to oversee the collection, sorting, processing and distribution of the fruit. The products are delivered to the food retail sector, export markets, the convenience sector and the processing industry. Combining producer’s knowhow with sales expertise, Elbe-Obst offers „cultivation and marketing from one source”.
Apples are its main product. In addition to the classic apple varieties such as Elstar, Jonagold, Braeburn, Red Boskoop, Jonagored, Holstein Cox and others, the product range also includes brand names such as Red Prince® and Kanzi®. Red Apple Germany markets the miniature apple Rockit® and the red-fl eshed Kissabel®. New additions are Frä ulein and SweeTango® at Deutsches Obstsorten Konsortium GmbH.
