Imagine standing before a judge after being convicted of a serious crime. The judge issues a severe sentence then shows you mercy by immediately pardoning you. You deserved the sentence; the judge showed mercy by not handing it down. When you accept Jesus as your Savior, this is exactly what happens. Because of our

sinful nature, the only thing we deserve is eternal separation (hell) from a Holy and perfect God. Yet Jesus paid the sentence for us by taking our sins to the cross and dying for us that we may live. He proved He is the Son of God by rising from the dead three days later. The same promise that awaits those who believe in Him (John 3:16) Grace is what He gives those who believe in Him. Grace is giving us what we don’t deserve.
We don’t deserve the love, friendship, guidance, strength and blessings given to us from Jesus. Because He loves us so much, He pours out those gifts over and over again and there is nothing we can ever do to that will change His heart. An eternal promise, His love will never end!
