League rules will be handed out the first night of play and will be adhered to until the end of the 4 week league. The photos will be on display throughout the month of March. BEAUTIFUL ALASKA: First purchased by Seward in March of 1867, Alaska became a state in 1959 almost 100 years later. The Post Library will have displays and activities to celebrate this beautiful state all month long. THOR ART THURSDAYS: Join the Library to basket weave your own Alaskana styled baskets This will be an AMAZINGLY FUN all-ages event! COMPEAUS TRAIL SNOWMACHINE March 5 | 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Driver must be age 18 and older Fee: $75 per snowmachine driver, $10 for additional passenger Participants: Max: 6; Min: 3 Join Outdoor Recreation on a snowmachine adventure to Compeaus Trail in the Chena River State Recreation Area. This trail goes low into the valley, and high in the mountains for some great terrain and some even better views! We will provide transportation, snowmachine and helmet. Participants will need to bring lunch, snacks, drinks and cold weather clothing. If the temperature drops below -10 degrees the trip will be postponed to a warmer date. *certification class?**

NORTHERN EXPOSURE Mar. 12 and 26 | 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fee: $115 per person | Participants: Max: 10; Min: 3 Age: 12 and older. Where else can you snowmachine and mush dogs in one day? This program is conducted in conjunction with the Northern Sky Lodge. Half the participants will be engaged in dog mushing under the supervision of the Northern Sky Lodge Staff. While the other half will make a snowmachine run to the Tanana Flats and back with the Outdoor Adventure Team. The participants will then switch programs for the second half of the day. If the temps drop below -10 degrees the trip will be postponed to a warmer day. Northern Sky Lodge will provide sleds, dog teams and instructions Outdoor Recreation will provide transportation, snowmachines, helmets and leadership for the snowmachine trip. Lunch is provided but patrons should bring snacks and drinks for the trail.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Outdoor Recreation Center is seeking volunteer instructors/guides for our outdoor programs. This includes our boating, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, X/C ski, fishing, tours, ATV and snow machine trips. Women in the Wilderness

WIW: ANGEL CREEK SNOWMACHINE & HOT SPRINGS TRIP March 19-20 (Must pre-register by March 5) | 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fee: $125 per person | Participants: Min 4; Max 6 Join the Outdoor Recreation Center staff for an overnight women’s only trip to the cabins at Angel Creek! This program is weather dependent and subject extreme temperatures. ORC will provide transportation, snowmachine, helmet, lodging, dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday. Participants need to bring 2 lunches, snacks, drinks, warm boots, cold weather clothing, and any overnight necessities. There is a café-style lodge if you prefer to purchase lunch there. Don’t forget a swimsuit and towel if you wish to get in the springs!

Acting Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs March 14-19

Do you want to know what it takes to put a play together? The Acting Guild is coming to Ft. Wainwright for spring break and will be putting together the play “Snow White.” AUDITIONS: March 14, 9 to 11 a.m. PRACTICE: March 14, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. & March 15-18: 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m. (Auditions and practices are at SAS, Bldg. 4391.)
