Spotlight MEET THE FACES OF FORT WAINWRIGHT FAMILY AND MWR #WainwrightMWR Meet the people that make the Fort Wainwright Family and MWR team so special.

Mary Turner Manager, Post Library “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you’ll go.” —Dr. Seuss The places you’ll go, indeed. Last year, Mary Turner found herself traveling to Fort Wainwright to start her new job at the Library. Working as a librarian has provided her with great relationships to her customers. “I love talking about books and hearing what people liked or didn’t like in a book. Everyone interprets things differently, and if you take the time to talk to people you might learn or see something in a different way then you had before,” says Turner. While her favorite genre is Non-Fiction, she is a giant fan of Dr. Seuss and his ability to subtly integrate educational messages to his work. The books’ inspiration can be seen in Mary’s library programs— each is planned with care, and carries an educational theme perfect for inquisitive minds.
