#WainwrightODR Fill your soul with adventure by snowmachine During winter, it may seem like your means of travel are limited, but in reality they expand. Traveling by snowmachine is an exciting way to see the beautiful views of Interior Alaska. Snowmachines are available to be used during Outdoor Recreation trips to explore the Chena River State Recreation Area, White Mountains National Recreation Area, and beyond! Want to venture somewhere Outdoor Recreation Center doesn't have on the books yet? Take the Snowmachine Safety Course and rent a snowmachine.

Be safe out there An important aspect of a winter trek is safety. The Outdoor Recreation Center hosts Snowmachine Safety Courses during the winter months. Not only are these classes required for certain trips and equipment checkout, the topics covered are incredibly informative, and can possibly help you to prevent injury or death.

Soldiers Against Drunk Driving (S.A.D.D.) is a great way to help serve your community. Last year, S.A.D.D. Volunteers helped 924 Soldiers, Airmen, and other DoD ID Cardholders get home safely with a free and anonymous ride. Anyone can volunteer— S.A.D.D. isn't just for B.O.S.S. Soldiers. Baby Care 101 is designed to provide parents with an understanding of their infant’s world, along with basic skills necessary to care for their baby. Additionally, this class provides an opportunity for “hands-on” practice with newborn care.

This class will help guide and to support proper feeding from birth to 3 years old.

Breastfeeding Support Group December 13, 1 – 3 p.m.

If you’re a breastfeeding mother, you’re probably tired, overwhelmed and feeling a bit frustrated with all the "advice" on breastfeeding. That’s why we created this group—to bring everyone together and with the support of Jean Bell RN, MSN, RNCOB. We will help you learn proper breastfeeding techniques and tips on breastfeeding that will help you find rest, hope, and encouragement. Get together with others and find support with dealing with problems and issues of breastfeeding.

Infant massage helps to connect you with your infant, as well help you learn nonverbal cues. Come and learn how to massage your infant and the benefits derived from it. Let us help you prepare for what's to come. Learn how to properly “winterize” your vehicle and what to wear when it gets cold. Become knowledgeable about how to drive on ice, how to care for your pets in extreme conditions, and how to cope with long winter days and nights.
