On April 21 at the Hotel El Mirador, the Puerto del Rosario Business Association fulfilled one of its dreams yesterday, with its integration into the board of the Confederation of Historic Centers and Local Commerce of Spain (Cocahi), which brings together 55 entities of the entire Spanish geography.

Participation has been important with attendees such as Associates, Entrepreneurs, Collectives and Politicians.

The President Mrs. Daniela Plotegher Angeli together with the President of Cocahi Mr. José Manuel Bello Rey have presented this collaboration that will be a union to strengthen the business fabric of the capital.

D. José Manuel Bello Rey, President of Compostela Monumental and Cocahi, gave Ms. Daniela Plotegher Angeli the title that entitles the Majorero business group to belong to the Confederation and its board of directors. The historic quarters are the soul and identity of the cities and their local commerce. Therefore, it is necessary to influence the need to promote and revitalize the old town of the Majorera capital and value this area that in many places constitutes a true economic engine.

From Cocahi, as a project, it was decided to integrate the Puerto del Rosario Entrepreneurs Association into the Confederation of Historic Centers and Local Commerce of Spain for the work it is doing for local commerce and commercial activity, for the economy, within the Open Commercial Zones . To this end, the Confederation provides historic centers and local commerce with the necessary tools to achieve competitive commerce both economically and socially.

The event was attended by numerous local authorities, from the President of the Island Council of Fuerteventura Mr. Sergio Lloret López, the President of the Chamber of Commerce Mr. Juan Jesús Rodríguez

All the Authorities and Attendees congratulated the Puerto del Rosario Business Association for its incorporation into this Confederation of Historic Centers of Spain, since it is a great opportunity to generate employment, promote tourism and continue strengthening the projection of Fuerteventura.

The President of Cocahi, Mr. José Manuel Bello Rey, declared to the Public Administrations that they continue facilitating the day-to-day life of the small businessman, simplifying the procedures of the current fiscal and economic policies.

Ms. Daniela Plotegher Angeli expressed her satisfaction for this incorporation into the Cocahi board of directors, trusting in a prompt recovery for local commerce, she pointed out that there are Open Commercial Zones in Puerto del Rosario that are in a situation of abandonment, deterioration, due to the importance of the recovery of the historic center, the collaboration between the collective and the administrations fundamental for the life and growth of the Capital, remembering the slogan of the Association: “Union makes strength”.

The President of the Puerto del Rosario Business Association, thanks all the Authorities for the support and collaboration of the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce for opening its doors for the first time to internal trade where Mrs. Daniela Plotegher Angeli is the President of the internal trade commission.

During the act, Mr. Manuel Amat Payá, the world’s first Shopkeeper, participated with a presentation, expressing the importance of being associated with the group since it is purely therapeutic and the strength of union among all. Another part that he emphasized was self-knowledge of our emotional management and reordering our ideas, strengthening entrepreneurship.

The following day, the associates were able to participate in a Coffee Break, benefiting from a private presentation with Mr. Manuel Amat Payá to deepen the important elements to be a successful business.

The act ended with congratulations for the good work carried out by the President of the Puerto del Rosario Entrepreneurs Association Ms. Daniela Plotegher Angeli and the Manager Ms. Palmira Martinez Pérez by Associates, Entrepreneurs from different sectors, Collectives and Politicians who with their assistance have shown respect for local businesses and for the Puerto del Rosario Entrepreneurs Association.
