The restaurant pavilion establishes itself as Event Space in the Park. A space where the users become the main actors of the project. They are invited to interact with building and landscape. A wide assortment of speeds and ways of eating are provided by Vending Machines, a ‘3D Table-Scape’, and a ‘Lounge Restaurant’. Chinese eating tradition meets nowadays International eating trends.
The pavilion blends with the park as it is shaped as an artificial forest, providing shadow and views from its branches. The architecture deals with light, water, wind and soil with

the same techniques as traditional Chinese architectonical typologies but with dissimilar formal appearance.
The complex itself chooses for an expanding configuration. Limiting the size of the enclosed built spaces, redirects the extra budget into a system of open roofs in order to maximize the Event Space placed underneath.
Local materials are used all throughout the pavilion: Jinhua stone for the Event Space and ground level volumes and local wood and optional steel for the roof forest. Dining layout

Restaurant / Lounge
The Lounge Restaurant is the core of the project and works at the smaller scale, as the place where more relaxed eating takes place. The minimal kitchen volume placed at ground level has a triple function: feed the Vending Machine Wall, serve both the ‘Event Space 3D Table-Scape’ and the climatized ‘Lounge Restaurant’ placed above.
Vending Machine Wall
Acting at large scale, a Vending Machine Wall is linked to the main pedestrian road system of the park, giving a fast food option to the passers-by.
Table Scape
A 3D Table-Scape deals on an urban level with the triangular plot where the pavilion is placed, being served directly by the kitchen or working as a picnic area.
