WHAT TO SAY ABOUT THE DESIGNER?
She spends most of her life in front of a computer and cannot live without music, she even says that music is the fuel that makes her work. She changes music genres depending on her mood or work so she doesn’t get distracted. She mainly likes rock and grunge, but also indie, R&B, soundtracks, classical music, jazz, rap… In other words, she likes to confuse people with her exquisite musical taste. As if listening to music wasn’t enough, it’s also possible to listen to it. She took music lessons as a child and currently plays in a brass band. Whenever she can, she dedicates herself to learning a new instrument, all by herself. (Alone? Hmmm… Okay!) In addition to music, she also listens to some podcasts.
All linked to humour. Who would say?
Friends, Game of Thrones, The Witcher, Peaky Blinders, Causa Prória, Doce and A Espia.
As legend has it of designers, she likes her coffee dark as night and unsweetened. It works best at night or in the morning. She is a bit of an introvert, but if you start talking to her, she becomes a bit extroverted. (I find it a bit confusing!)
As for the books, she doesn’t read often, but she’s making a big effort... If she could recommend two readings for 2022 it would be ‘Born a Crime’ and ‘The Truth About the Henry Quebert Affair’.
Amazingly, this designer likes to learn and at this very moment she may be exploring Procreate to add one more skill to her CV. Or else, she must be watching a stand up comedy show, as she also likes humor.
She likes to exercise and we can find her walking accompanied by her thoughts. Sometimes she is lazy, but nothing that the back pain that comes with the time she spends in front of the computer can’t solve.
She just doesn’t consume all the existing movies and series because she doesn’t have time. Her list of favorite films includes names such as Gran Torino, Interstellar, Inception, The Dark Knight trilogy, and Spirited Away. In the list of series are 1986,
HOW DID THE INTEREST IN DESIGN ARISE?
The interest in Design emerged during the Multimedia Technical course that began in the 2012/2013 academic year. It was in that moment that there was the first contact with programs such as Illustrator, Flash, Premiere, After Effects, among others. As for Photoshop, his first contact was during computer training for children when she was still in the first cycle. Little did I know that later I would use the program again, not for ‘playing’, but for work. Later, during the second curricular internship, she was assigned his first editorial project. She ran into a problem, she had never worked with InDesign. But, quickly managed to get around the problem for two reasons: the interface and the way of working is similar to other programs she already
knew, and his internship tutor pointed out what she had done wrong and explained how to do it correctly. For years she had many nightmares about the projects she did during high school, but she tried to put his feet on the ground and realize that at the time she was still in the learning process and that failing was part of it. In fact, this was one of the reasons that led her to decide to go to university – to learn to do better. Currently, she has nightmares about some projects she did during her higher education journey. Jokes aside, the learning process is time-consuming and the ‘dislike’ of the projects she has
done previously means there has been an evolution. The difference between the projects is noticeable because over time there were several changes in style and these differences portray the culmination of new skills. In this portfolio, there are no projects that haunt the designer, but those that in one way or another gave her a lot of pleasure to do and maybe even a little vanity after the project was finished. This compilation of projects communicates in a simple and direct way the skills and technical potential of the designer.

TUCAB This project started from the Redesign proposal identification of a need: “To 2019 understand how the urban bus network in Castelo Branco works”. In this redesign proposal, it was important to simplify the graphic information in order to allow not only users, but also visitors, a better orientation. For this, it was essential to redo the timetable maps and the planning of the routes of each line, identifying them with different colors, also exemplifying the meaning of travel. This investigation was possible due to a close intervention with the main users of this service.

‘Authentic Representation’ This exhibition aimed to criticize End of course exhibition the influence and power that new 2018 technologies exert on people, consuming them and leading them to interpret personalities that do not belong to them. It is possible to observe the confrontation between the analog and digital world through three moments: In the first moment, a set of three sculptures attached to the technological world that is symbolically represented by the red wall; In the second moment, a mural of masks, which displays the different identities, representing the idea of choosing ‘what would you like to be?’; Finally, an experimental moment in which each participant/spectator is invited to define themselves through a thread on the panel, leaving a bit of their own ‘identity’ in the exhibition. This project involved several tasks, which consisted of: Research and reasoning • Project management • Prototyping • 3D modeling • Lasercut • Plaster sculpture • Graphic design • Photography • Installation
