The theme park will be home to 5 signature rides that will break 10 world records including: Falcon's Flight, the world’s tallest, fastest and longest coaster (to be built by Intamin Rides – see our article in G&PI 01/21); Sirocco Tower, the world’s tallest, free-standing shot tower ride; Gyrospin, the world’s tallest pendulum ride; Spitfire, the world’s tallest inverted top hat coaster; and Iron Rattler, the world’s tallest tilt coaster. The central hub of the park will be the Citadel which will be covered by a canopy inspired by traditional Bedouin tents. Home to a wide range of cafes and shops, the venue will transform into an interactive show space throughout the day. From here, visitors will find gateways to 6 themed lands: The City of Thrills, Discovery Springs, Steam Town, Twilight Gardens, Valley of Fortune and Grand Exposition. The City of Thrills will look like a future city anchored in Arabic design motifs. Here, visitors will find Six Flags Qiddiya’s most recognizable and anticipated thrill rides including the record-breaking Falcon's Flight, inspired by the Kingdom’s iconic raptor and the Sirocco Tower. Il parco avrà cinque attrazioni distintive che batteranno 10 record mondiali: Falcon’s Flight, il coaster più alto, veloce e lungo del mondo (sarà costruito da Intamin Rides – v. nostro articolo in G&PI 01/21); Sirocco Tower, la drop tower free-standing più alta al mondo; Gyrospin, la giostra a pendolo più alta del mondo; Spitfire, il più alto inverted top hat coaster del mondo; e Iron Rattler, il più alto tilt coaster del mondo. Springs, an oasis offering visitors relief from the summer heat by creating the feel of a dense rainforest in the middle of the desert. This land will be home to an interactive ride called the Sea Stallion, where riders are propelled over rivers, behind waterfalls, and through trees along a custom-designed course, as they control the speed and acceleration of their vehicle. Steam Town is themed around mechanical marvels and a collection of dynamic contraptions. Its signature ride is the Iron Rattler Mine Train which features a hydraulic lift that releases passengers into a freefall plunge through a narrow, steam-filled mineshaft. Other key attractions include the Steam Town Falls Water Coaster which combines a roller coaster track with a splashing boat ride, a spinning mechanical ride called the Bull Rider and a custom-themed climbing structure called the Treehouse Trek. Designed for younger visitors and their families, the Twilight Gardens land is an oversized landscape of the imagination filled with colorful flowers and friendly creatures, home to the Twilight Express Coaster, the Critter Chase interactive dark ride set in a 3D environment, and the Kaleidoscope hot air balloon ride. Valley of Fortune is an exciting land of adventure. Sceneries are based on the architectural ruins of an old Arabian masonry, enlivened by the activity and trade of fortune seekers from around the world. This land’s signature attraction is Spitfire, a triple-launch coaster, which will take riders into a sky roll before an acrobatic stall and a breathtaking dive back to the valley floor. Other attractions include Skywatch, which lifts riders into the sky, the carthemed Treasure Trail, and the plane ride Canyon Charters. Last but not least, Grand Exposition is intended to be a celebration of innovation, combining nostalgia with modern technology. Its highlight will be the Gyrospin Pendulum, which swings riders to record heights. The land will be also home to Six Flags’ classic and most loved coaster Colossus, a gravitydriven wood-steel hybrid coaster that stretches over an 800-meter track. The land also features the Arabian Carousel, where Arabian horses march in a circular parade, the Expo Flyer swinging ride and the Roundabout featuring bumper cars themed as London cabs. n

Cascate, geyser, piante e alberi esotici abbonderanno invece a Discovery Springs, un’oasi che offrirà sollievo dalla calura ricreando atmosfere che faranno immaginare una fitta foresta pluviale in mezzo al deserto. Il land ospiterà un’attrazione interattiva, Sea Stallion, in cui i rider si troveranno sospinti per fiumi, foreste e cascate lungo un percorso progettato su misura, a bordo di veicoli di cui potranno comandare velocità e accelerazione. Il land Steam Town avrà come tema meraviglie meccaniche e una serie di apparecchiature dinamiche. Qui si potrà salire sul trenino della miniera Iron Rattler, che idraulicamente porterà a svariati metri di altezza i rider per poi lasciarli andare in un ‘tuffo’ in caduta libera attraversando anche uno stretto pozzo minerario pieno di vapore. Altre attrazioni chiave si questa zona sono Steam Town Falls Water Coaster, la giostra circolare meccanica Bull Rider e la struttura per arrampicata tematizzata Treehouse Trek. Progettato per i visitatori più piccoli e le loro famiglie, Twilight Gardens sarà un ambiente di fantasia sovradimensionato pieno di fiori colorati e creature amichevoli. Ospiterà l’ottovolante Twilight Express Coaster, Critter Chase, dark ride interattiva e Kaleidoscope, giostra con vetture a mongolfiera. Valley of Fortune sarà invece un’entusiasmante terra di avventure. Le scenografie si ispirano a un’antica architettura araba in muratura ormai in rovina, animata dalle attività e commerci di personaggi da tutto il mondo lì in cerca di fortuna. L'attrazione principale di questo land sarà Spitfire, un ottovolante a triplo lancio, che porterà i rider su in cielo per poi fargli vivere un momento di sospensione in aria quasi acrobatica, seguita da un drop mozzafiato. Altre attrazioni sono Skywatch, che solleva i passeggeri in aria, Treasure Trail a tema automobilistico e l’aviogiostra Canyon Charters. Ultimo ma non meno importante, il land Grand Exposition sarà una celebrazione dell'innovazione che unirà la nostalgia delle tradizionali Esposizioni Universali con le più grandi prodezze della scienza e della tecnologia come Gyrospin Pendulum, in cui i rider oscilleranno ad altezze da record. Altre attrazione qui presenti saranno un classico molto amato dei parchi Six Flags, ovvero il coaster Colossus - un ibrido legno-acciaio a gravità con un percorso di 800m – e poi la giostra a cavalli Arabian Carousel, la catenelle Expo Flyer e gli autoscontri Roundabout tematizzati come taxi londinesi.
