HEBREW CLASS FOR BEGINNERS
GSV resident Lorraine Evans is offering a class for interested persons who would like to learn the rudiments of the Hebrew language. The requirements for participating in this class are a recent translation of the Bible and a curious mind! The class will meet during the summer months with the schedule determined by the participants and Lorraine. Feel free to contact Lorraine or Chaplains Chet or Karyn for more information. JOIN US ON A SUMMER READING ADVENTURE
Travel from the South to cities of the North and West as we follow three individuals on the journey of a lifetime, from 1910-1970, the years of the Great Migration. Discover the ways that they not only survived, but thrived, despite the many obstacles facing people of color in those days. The Warmth of Other Suns author, Isabelle Wilkerson, narrates their stories with resolute accuracy. We invite you to enjoy this either as a personal reading experience or in a small group. Sign up at Resident Services to purchase a copy of The Warmth of Other Suns. Cost: $10 per book. Please indicate at sign-up if you would like to join a small group. Or, please indicate if you have a group with room for one or two more. Our hope is that many will want to share reading experiences with others in a larger gathering after the summer months. It is also our hope that this will be the first of many reading adventures that Garden Spot Village embarks on together!
