etrolheads around the world have merited the BMW M3 as one of the most wanted car since its inception. It prevails as the one car that has earned more titles than its German rival, the revered Porsche 911. In the world of Motorsport the BMW M3 is said to be the

most successful touring, and grand touring car to have participated in racing. Along with the impressive performance history of the legendary M3, it also features stylish modern luxury which appeal to many people. Growing up, all boys dream about are

hot cars and a model type girlfriend riding shotgun. Sumeet Dharampal, was one of those boys and eventually got his 2008 BMW M3 E93 in 2014, but being the elusive guy he is, his dreams consisted of much more. He is no stranger to the car scenes,

his garage saw the likes of many well-known cars. As most would say, the M3 has everything you could possibly desire in a car, however Sumeet’s road to glory was far from near. First to go was the standard springs and in went a set of H&R lowering springs, which led to the car looking even sexier. Soon after came a set of 20-inch wheels, however they did not stay on for too long. Sumeeth says: “I get bored of the same look very quick”. The M3 comes packing with a V8 engine and to give it the racers treatment, Sumeet fitted a performance exhaust system as well as Excede Performance software. The interior came standard in a

Sumeet decided to have a set of 20-inch Vossen CVT replica wheels fitted for the shoot to give the car a different but unique look.
dashing ox red leather seats and trims. Keeping the standard deck, he replaced the original speakers with Harmon Kardon. A carbon fibre front lip, rear diffuser, and side markers were the only extras added to the body after all what more does a drop top need. Most of you will recognise his car by the flirtatious 20-inch red Zedd Wheels, however Sumeet decided to have a set of 20-inch Vossen CVT replica wheels fitted for the shoot to give the car a different but unique look. Guess having your own wheel shop has its benefits. He recently tapped into the wheel industry opening
up The Wheel Emporium in Durban. To keep with the growing trends and stay on top of his game, he realised that he needed to have an air suspension fitted. No surprises here, Sumeet opted for a complete Air Lift Performance kit fitted with Air Lift struts controlled by a V2 Autopilot management system which allows him to control the height of each wheel. He plans to upgrade to a full ACCU-AIR management system soon, giving him full control of his ride height via his phone. Coming soon, we can see this M3 fitted with a Liberty Walk body-kit, taking every young boys dream to new heights.

T
he Wheel Emporium in collaboration with Mainstream Crew KZN held their first Park-off event on the 14th May 2016. Car enthusiasts from as far as Pietermaritzburg attended along with their crews and flashy cars. Bagged, static, sports and performance cars were the highlight of t he day. It was a rather chilled out session which saw the entire family tagging along to be a part of the gathering. An appetising braai was sponsored by Wheel Emporium owner Sumeet Dharamphal. The event also marked the official launch of The Wheel Emporium. With cars being his passion, Sumeet decided to open up The Wheel Emporium, however he envisioned a greater picture and decided to market car accessories and performance products as well. Durban does not see too many park-offs and it was good to have an event that brought those with a passion for cars to one spot. While some decided to meet and greet, others pulled out their camp chairs and got comfortable for the afternoon.

When the countries most wanted Jetta VR6 made a late appearance and aired out in the centre of the crowd, people went crazy (no wonder it won best air at VDub Campfest 2016). Another aired out ride that got people crazy was Shaun’s old school box Toyota Corolla. He definitely kept it old school by showing off his white walls and Merc wheel caps. At the centre of attention under The Wheel Emporium’s gazebo was Sumeet’s popular M3 on air. The static guys claimed their territory as well with people questioning if their rides had air or not. One such controversial car is Dorian’s BMW E46. Passionate about their lifestyle, other static cars drove around scraping speedbumps and tar as they wow’d onlookers. The event continued late into the night with a few more popular cars making their appearance. It was a fantastic gathering and it definitely won’t be the last for The Wheel Emporium.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS WITH ASHISH I hear this A LOT… “You know I’ve taken my car to 260! I should be in Formula One!” he simple answer is NO… It does not make you a racing driver… and for many reasons! Firstly, you probably went 260 on a straight, not a bend… Even if you did chance it on a bend, you didn’t have to talk to your race engineer, worry about the car behind chasing you, had any severe tyre wear and adjusting the settings on your steering wheel while doing so. Racing in a nut shell is all about hard work, a super strong mind, talent and consistency. There’s a lot of factors that come into
Racing in a pack with 20 + drivers behind you trying to overtake you into the first corner, the energy surrounding the grid at the start of a race, the mental pressure of having to win a race from 20th position to win the championship, trying to brake as late as you can every corner constantly for over 50 laps; all things that cannot be replicated from driving fast on a public road. You could be the fastest on a public road, take bends at insane speeds… but if you can’t handle “racing pressure”, you’re going to be at the back of the grid, spin off or even end up in the wall, no matter how good you feel you are. Consistency plays a huge factor in the making of a champion. Taking a racing car around a 5km track and each lap you complete is either 0.01 seconds faster or slower than the previous lap is no easy task, you cannot replicate this anywhere but on a racing track. There’s also the physical factor. Racing drivers face constant high g-forces around corners and under braking. You have to be really physically fit to race especially in open-cockpit cars. Once again, this cannot be replicated on public roads at all, unless you have an accident, then yeah you’re going to feel those g-forces…. Probably for the first and last time!
play when you’re racing and when you’re driving on public roads. When you drive fast on public roads, you’re simply just risking your life, the car or even worse, someone else’s life that is completely innocent. It means nothing at the end. In racing, you’re racing against time, learning about the car each lap. It’s a mental state that you cannot enter or train on public roads. Even though pressure, nerves and a certain mind set are present in each scenario, they are pretty much completely different.
Don’t forget, you’re not always going to start at the front. There will be many scenarios where you will have to overtake a driver at 300km/h + being 2 cm from their wheel. Not so simple now is it…. Going fast is one thing, but going fast while doing 3 other things at the same time for 45 minutes, is a completely different task all on it’s own. If you really want to test yourself, go for a track day or hire a Rotax kart and give it a go. If you’re a rookie, you probably wont last longer than 15 minutes physically on the limit. In fact, I dare you! Give it a shot... The risks involved with driving fast on public roads outweigh any benefit that come with it and they essentially mean nothing at all… Especially with the fact that you could kill an innocent child, mother, father, husband or even one of your own loved ones! Stay safe and keep the racing on-track. Remember, you could also be innocent and involved in an accident, all because the other person thought driving fast meant they’re a racing driver. So please share to spread awareness and hopefully prevent many accidents. Stay safe and God bless.

t was just a normal boring day when I decided to pay Gas Magazine a visit. After a chit-chat with Prethiven aka Harry, he decided to tell me that he has a shoot for me to do and it wasn’t just any shoot. A shoot with 5 generations of the BMW M Series, which consisted of a BMW M4, BMW M3 E92 (V8 Supercharged), BMW M3
E46, BMW M3 E36, BMW 1M and a BMW 325is. This car collection has already creamed social media platforms, which makes it even more exciting for me to do the shoot. Upon arriving at AE Performance, I had in front of me the M Series collection that has gone viral on various social media platforms. I never knew where to start.

A few days later I made my way back to AE Performance. The BMW M3 E92, BMW M4 and I were going out to have some fun on the roads of Durban

Whether to start off with the BMW M4 - which has an insane set of 21” HRE Wheels that have been imported from the US or the old school BMW 325is which is in immaculate condition. After much debate I set forth and started. After spending much time on the BMW M4 I made my way to the
BMW M3 E92 which is supercharged and sitting on a set of 20” HRE Wheels. Every angle of this car is outrageous, inside out. After spending almost an hour on both cars I then made my way to the BMW that is considered as the Baby M. The BMW 1M, which is also sitting on a set of 20” wheels, looks

quite vicious judging by its widened body and it’s 4 pipe rear. The BMW M3 E46 and E36 were both still in its original form. After a few hours of shooting from every possible angle I decided to call it a day. The shoot however, was not finished. A few days later I made my way back to AE

Performance. The BMW M3 E92, BMW M4 and I were going out to have some fun on the roads of Durban. Nicholas (Owner of Wardens Cartage) along with his brother piloted both cars. Two of my friends and myself set forth to capture these 2 beasts on the road. From trying to stand in the back of an open van on the highway to hanging my body out the window, without a doubt, it was all worth it. After a long drive up the N2 and down the M4 we got back to AE Performance where Nicholas (Owner of Wardens Cartage) was kind enough to give us a bit of a treat by taking the V8 Supercharged E92 sideways and burnt some rubber. That really took us by surprise, as that was my favourite car of the day.

nthusiasts: A group of people that share the same passion and interests in a specific object/s. BMW: Motor manufacturer synonymous with the term “Motorsport” and a company known for creating some of the most pleasurable driving machines of all time. What is the result of combining these above mentioned terms together? The answer is not difficult to guess – we get one of South Africa’s largest online Automotive Communities viz. The BMWFanatics.
With over 20,000 active members and an ever expanding number of build projects and informative threads, BMWFanatics has a constant stream of valuable info being passed on one user to another. The BMWFanatics are not only a group of enthusiasts typing away at their keyboards. Their off-line footprint is as large as their online’s with group meets, exhibition events, dyno days, charity events, breakfast runs, weekends away, race days – the list goes on.

It is for this reason, BMWFanatics stands out from other automotive communities in South Africa. There is an events committee consisting of the best minds geared towards getting their events off the line with as much traction possible‌ The events team are tightly knit forum members who function like a well-oiled machine – planning and coordinating the
events on a voluntary basis but collectively for the love the brand. Being a member of the club, I have seen first-hand, the amount of work and dedication that members put into bringing out events. We all know that success for events such as these can only be pulled off when a crowd can work together. To say that the members of the club get along
fluidly would be an understatement. They are a true brotherhood surpassing any and all divides. Everything needed to make a car club successful is exactly what The BMWFanatics pride themselves on possessing. Great events, great cars and most importantly, a spirited group of enthusiasts.

Artist of the Month 1. Tell us little about JesseM? Growing up i was exposed to music due to my Dad’s interest in LP and cassette collections.At the age of 7 I discovered my beat boxing skills which led me to an additional 5 years in and out of the Orthodontists (LOL). I felt like the coolest kid on the block when I provided the entertainment at family functions and parties. I went onto creating my own mixtapes for family and friends and the feedback/response sparked my personal interest and curiosity to investigate the art of music. I continued to collect CD singles and played music (not mixing) at the occasional event. In my early adolescents, I focused my attention on my growing passion for cars, car shows and drag racing(legal offcourse). Music always kept me balanced and centered. The art of Dj-ing and mixing music together resonated as a burning desire in my soul... In 2012 I had set out personal goals and one off the highlighted goals was for me to personally fund and purchase my own DJ-ING equipment. Fast forward to 2014 saw me enrolling to Streetbeats DJ school to adapt my music skills and techniques in DJ-ING. This year is held dearly to me as it was also the year that I achieved my goal and was the introductory phase to finally fulfilling my passion in DJing. 2.What or whom would you say are your musical influences? As an avid music lover I appreciated ( and still do) the talent and skill set of Funky G and Just Jules. Which saw me become a keen supporter at their events which also played a massive / fundamental role and influence in my love and passion for Deep house today. 3. What are your recent accomplishments? 3x months after completing my course with Streetbeats DJ school, I entered my first Facebook DJ competition for Tamantha Campbell’s - Sex and Candy Events which was based on music selection and mixing skills and successfully won and played at Origin. A venue which I have always dreamn’t of playing at. •I was also fortunate to perform as an artist on the Deeply Rooted stage for CK Aquafest 2015. •A recent achievement was a platform to play for Lovetec Entertainment (Blackout / Faceoff) 4. What are your aspirations for your career in 2016 ? My aspiration for 2016 is to showcase my genre (Deephouse) on a large stage / platform and connect with people to strive

to always remain relevant and most of all, to enjoy every moment. 5. What is Deep House to you? Deep House draws elements from lots of various musical genres including: RNB And Lounge. I appreciate all genre’s of music however Deep House is my happy place. It is music that connects with me and resonates in my soul... it is a timeless sound with a timeless feeling. 6. What are your thoughts on the current music scene? Can we take a moment to appreciate our local DJ’s / Producers for successfully placing South Africa on the map both on a local and international front. There could not be a prouder moment for me as a Deep House DJ to showcase our local DJ’s/Producers. There have quiet a few moments where I have played sets compiled of 60% off our locally produced Deep House tracks. Massive appreciation and respect to our local homegrown talent. 7. Which local/international artist would you love to do a collaboration with? The list can go on, but my absolute favorites right now will be, Kyle Watson,Chunda munki,L.a Cruz, Vimo. 8. We have to ask what is your current drive and what is your dream car? Current drives - VW Polo TSI Dream car – Golf 7R 9. Any pearls of wisdom to our aspiring local producers? Never give up on your dreams regardless off how many times you are knocked down we are not all destined to succeed on our first attempt... A
fter 4 months of this beast been in hibernation, Andre decided to wake her up and take her out for a run. Yes you’ve seen the teaser videos on most of the social networks out there so now let’s get up close and personal with Andre’s 2005 E46 M3 CSL. I bet there are a few guys and girls out there that have seen or heard of this beast and many that are petrol head junkies will know the distinct difference between a normal E46 M3 and a M3 CSL edition. Ok let’s get started; Firstly CSL stands for “Coupe Sport Lightweight”. In 2003 BMW had set out to make this one a bit more special with only 1400 being produced worldwide, South Africa saw 65 land on our shores of which Andre hooked No.12 of 65. Being that of a limited edition BMW only produced these cars in two colours; which were Silver Grey metallic and Black Sapphire metallic, This car wowed BMW enthusiasts around the globe with its use of their BMW’s racing technologies that they incorporated from their track cars onto this street car. These racing technologies included taking the normal E46 M3 motor which lacks a conventional mass airflow meter.

Instead, intake air is calculated directly by the DME (Digital Motor Electronics), making for a much faster and quicker engine response. BMW have included modified camshafts and exhaust valves and in addition to this they included a lightweight exhaust system constructed from thinner steel. All in all with these changes we see a monster being unleashed with 268.45KW at 7900 rpm and 370.13nm of torque at 4300rpm. Transmissions are just as important as the drivetrains in any car and when it comes to the CSL, BMW have out done themselves on this one. The CSL is equipped with a SMG II transmission which included a special launch control mode that automatically shifts at the optimum point for maximum acceleration. In addition to this BMW still uses the standard E46 M3 final drive and M locking differential allowing for the CSL with the help of the DSC system, to switch to an exclusive M Track Mode via the steering wheel which increases the threshold at which the system intervenes to allow for some oh so lovely sideways action.

Noticeable differences between a standard E46 M3 and CSL edition can clearly been seen up in the front with the unique designed bumper with single air inlet, the carbon fibre roof panel, Carbon fibre valance at the rear and the bigger boot spoiler which helps with the down force.
A re-engineered E46 M3 suspension for increased handling, Ventilated brakes and 19” forged M double spoke rims sporting Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres sized 235/35ZT19 in the front and 265/30ZR19 at the rear insure all that you stay on the road under all that torque. Speaking to Andre while we went for a ride in this beast I found out something that I never knew about this beast and that is; These cars never came with an aircon as this would just add to the weight
of the car however BMW did offer it as an optional extra to its clients. My response to Andre was: “Bro with power like this, who needs an aircon? LOL” Andre also owns one of the neatest 325is I’ve seen and is currently working on a very special project car which we will catch up with him on closer to completion. t seems like the dust was just settling off the tyres from the burning rubber from last year’s Wild Coast Sun Drift Expo and yet again the Wild Coast Sun has pulled off yet another spectacular event. With last year’s show been such a huge success it was only inevitable that fans would get the opportunity to visit once again. 5th March 2016 marked the date for this year’s remarkable show.

The event attracted enthusiasts from all over the country who I’m sure were bitten by the drift bug last November. Lots of extras were added to the show, Drift drivers were bumped up to 25 as compared to last year’s 14 line up. A lot more exhibitors were present. A few to mention were Air Spring Supply Company, The Wheel Emporium, CPI Performance Tuning, ROSP Imports, Goldwagen, Durban used spares and Salvage car dealers.
Suicide Rides went on all day with only the brave who dare to try The Sound off was held by Powerhouse Auto & Towing and the Show ‘n Shine hosted by Vicious Cars! Lots of crowd favourites could be seen at the Show ‘n Shine, from aired out rides to supercars. Bass junkies were pumped up competing for that highest DB Levels. The Puren brothers Brendan and Gavin from Plant Hire & GT Logistics were at it keeping the crowds entertained as always not forgetting the Super drift series regulars Paulo Gouveria and Noer Asmodien.

Drift Suicide Rides went on all day with only the brave who dare to try. Everyone’s favourite MC Vic Pardal was there to make sure spectators were amped up craving for action. With coverage from The Ignition TV Crew, Thrill Seekers, 1 KZN, GAS Magazine and motoring bloggers, you were bound to run into one of them and get your few seconds of fame. Aerial Shots were there supplying aerial coverage with their drones making sure nothing was missed. Spectators were allowed to get up close and personal with the drivers and their cars not something you can find at many events.

With so much action, crowds were sure to satisfy their appetites with food stalls like Danny’s House of Curry, Golden Moon Spur, Corn Dog CafÊ and the Wild Coast Sun. A beer tent was proudly sponsored by SAB. Drift driver of the day was Gavin Puren and overall best of show was Videsh Balmith with his green and yellow Toyota Corolla.
Having the privilege to cover this event for the second time, it was yet another amazing experience. From waiting in the queues to enter at the border bridge, to spending the weekend at the luxurious hotel sponsored by the Wild Coast Sun, there is something about this event that makes it different from most other motoring events.

All roads lead to …. THE RACETRACK! Falling in love with Superbikes is easy. Either the look, the sound, the performance or, as was the case in my life, the open road gets you hooked. Crisp Sunday mornings on the pretzel tarmac up to Ixopo, the backroad from Stanger to Greytown, the magnificent R74 climbing through Oliviershoek Pass linking through to Golden Gate and the R61 from Port Edward to Mount Ayliff have been the factories for some of my most treasured memories. But things change. Our roads are now choked with commuter and commercial traffic. The standards of our roads have deteriorated. Conditions have become more dangerous and, understandably so, law enforcement has become much more serious. But not all change is bad. While our roads have become unsuitable for leisure riding, race tracks have

Their usage is also shifting more toward leisure use and track days rather than being solely competition venues. This is great news for Superbike lovers because everyone can now pretty much just pitch up and ride at your local racetrack. There is something to enjoy for every level of rider. The first stop is a Track School. There are general track days, some of which now have fun “races” included at the end. Entry level racing in “Breakfast Run” classes appear on most race days now. Next up there is club and regional level racing for all sorts of bikes, including junior formulae. At the serious end of the spectrum there are a few national classes

can’t believe that actually happened and don’t remember having ever seen that done before. In one of the most closely contested forms of racing he blends patience, aggression, courage and intelligence into a potent cocktail that leaves his rivals rethinking their race-craft. Not only will it make me proud to witness a fellow South African win a world title but it will be an indulgent pleasure to watch the intricate magic of such a genius at work in doing so. ean Govender of Durban is quite the lucky chap. Most of us dream of owning a performance car, but he is lucky enough to own two, a BMW E30 325i and a BMW E36 M3, now isn’t that the perfect pair? He is certainly the speed freak, with his daily drive being a Mercedes-AMG C63. Talk about having speed in your blood. These are not your everyday BMWs, both have their own surprises under the hood, I am sure the Germans will not be too chuffed with that combo. They both have a story of their own.
Dean purchased the E30 in 2012 with a standard engine. He had big plans for this 27 year old beauty which first had a Toyota 2JZ Motor installation. It was a stock motor with a T72 ball bearing turbo. He had the original gearbox replaced with a 5-speed E36 M3 gearbox. Not short of power, the 520-hp E30 pushes out 650-nm of torque and graces the quarter mile stretch in just 12.08-seconds. The front seats were removed and replaced with E36 German spec front seats re-covered in grey leather. A few extra dials that you would see are his turbo smart boost

Definitely a legend in its own league gauge, water temperature, and oil pressure gauges. He went for a simple sound setup with 2x8� Earthquake subs to provide that deep low bass with a Sony head unit and mids. The car had a complete respray done in the original BMW Cirrus blue. The wheels were also replaced and it now sits on a set of original E36 M3 wheels. He had the suspension lowered with a set of ISC coilovers. Definitely a legend in its own league.

While some prefer the box (gusheshe) others prefer the so called gentleman’s car. The BMW E36, however like his E30, it is far from a standard M3. It also has a Toyota 2JZ motor with a T72 ball-bearing turbo fitted pushing out 766hp at 850nm. Quite impressive figures, and these definitely prove genuine
with it been a 11.7 second car. He did a few engine mods which include replacing the pistons with Wossener forged pistons, manley conrods, an aftermarket intake, and 1500cc injectors. The interior was kept standard along with the standard sound setup. The car has its
original coat of Santorini Blue with a set of 18-inch Rezax Work Wheels. Both of Dean’s cars were built by him and tuned by Performance Tuning. He has a lot more planned for his two beasts in the future, but right now he is focused on bringing his 400m time to the 10-second league.

n Sunday, the 13th of March, Grounded Nation attended the event in Pietermaritzburg, #LVLDByMainstreamCrew, a ‘stance’ show held at Three Angels Collision Repairs. The event started off quietly then at around 2pm it suddenly took off and the venue was packed! The show
was full of happy vibes as we saw people laughing away and smiles on all their faces, especially when we saw two ‘bagged’ vehicles from Stance Academy (a Corsa Utility and a VW Polo) give us a demo on how their cars ‘dance’ because of the air suspension setup that Low Down Customs had installed in them. The crowd was

riveted to this demonstration. One of the cars that really caught my eye was a static silver BMW E46 M3, which of course was ‘sitting on the floor’ and ended up taking home the Best Static Stance trophy. The other was Lester’s white-on-white ‘bagged’ Toyota RunX who took Best Jap and Best Engine Bay. Even

though it was a ‘stance’ show, we saw many non-stance cars such as the lovely BMW M4, Ford Mustang, BMW E30 325iS, who took Best German, and a Ford Capri, which won Crowd Favourite. Best Trunk went to Sashlin with the ‘bagged’ VW Polo and Best Air was taken home by the Low Down Customs founder, Daryll, who
drives a clean Audi A4. It’s very encouraging to see the car scene picking up in Pietermaritzburg, with more local events taking place, from car shows to hook-ups to spinning events. Mainstream Crew has big plans for future events in this town and the locals seem to be very excited about this!

Cars IN THE PARK

ars In The Park, a well-known annual event which attracts thousands of cars every year, mainly classics, but also including various other categories such as the heavily modified 4x4’s, all the different engines on display such as aeroplane and steam engines, off-road racing vehicles like the local Neil Woolridge Motorsport group, IBV brought a few supercars, your car clubs such as the Mini, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and various others, there were also performance groups such as DY Performance, CPI (Dipworx) and a few more. Each year Cars In The Park is growing more and more, and since the new venue was selected, the event has attracted more
modern day cars, even a few ‘stance’ cars and plenty motorcycles of all sorts. In my opinion this is a good thing as it will help grow the car seen locally and bring car enthusiasts together! One thing that has improved slightly from last year’s event was the traffic problem and having to sit in the long for a couple hours just to get a parking outside the event. This year there were traffic police assisting and that helped a lot and the wait wasn’t as much. Some of the classic cars that caught my eye were a Chevrolet Apache, Shelby Cobra, Chevrolet C10, Plymouth Barracuda, Ford GT40, First generation Harley-Davidson, Original VW mk1 GTi, Corvette Stingray, ’57 Bel-Air and many others. Some modern cars

I really liked were a Ferrari 458 Italia, BMW M4, Aston Martin DB9. Overall Cars In The Park 2016 was an awesome event and I will most probably be there again next year.
If you are a car enthusiast who really loves classics then this is definitely a show for you, but I have a feeling that more modern cars will make an appearance next year and being more of a ‘stance’ guy, I hope to see more stance cars enter next year!

rag racing, form of motor racing that originated in the United States and in which two contestants race from a standing start side by side on a drag strip—a flat, straight course, most commonly 1/4 mile long. Both elapsed time (in seconds) and final speed (in km per hour) are recorded, although for most events the winner is simply the first to cross the finish line. Once again, Dezzi Raceway was graced with the presence of all types of race cars, ranging from modern supercars to proper built race cars. Gas Magazine and KZN Drag Racing put together this event which went as “All Out Drags”. People from all parts of KZN gathered to witness the rivals amongst all the different types of vehicles present. We had the famous Vic Pardal entertaining the crowd as the vehicles were getting lined up. Photographers everywhere,

the busy food outlets serving a variety of food to the hungry patrons. After much wait Dezzi Raceway was filled with the smell of methanol and the roar of the beastly engines which have gotten unleashed. Majority of the races seemed quite competitive. My all time favourite Nissan GTR R35 was seen in many races finishing with times of a mere 10 second+.

There were many superbikes as well which made clouds of smoke at the start line and put full throttle into getting past the finish line first. It was a beautiful day, beautiful weather, amazing cars, amazing drivers, best hosts and undoubtedly best racetrack. Gas Magazine and KZN Drag Racing is soon to be hosting another drag racing event at Dezzi Raceway on the 25-26th June! Hope to see you there!
