Driver’s Education 36-Hour Course Offered at Wiregrass Fitzgerald, GA— Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will offer a Driver’s Education 36-Hour course on the Ben HillIrwin campus on Saturdays, August 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with the 6-hour behind-the-wheel driving being scheduled after classroom instruction ends. The program consists of 30 hours of classroom training and 6 hours of training behind the wheel. The program is designed to meet the training requirements of Joshua’s law as well as provide 6 of the 40 hours of supervised driving that teens must have before obtaining their driver’s license. Classes are $275 per teen. Parents should be mindful of the $150 state tax credit that is available and the significant impact completing the course can make on reducing insurance coverage costs.
