Veteran’s Day Program On November 11, 2014, Wilcox County High School will hold a special program in observance of Veteran’s Day. This observance has become a tradition in Wilcox County as we remember and honor all who have served in our Armed Forces. We take pride in our program to salute Veterans, and we have had extraordinary community support through the years. Our JROTC will be featured on the program along with a guest speaker and special music provided by WCHS students. You are invited to join in our observance on Tuesday, November 11th beginning at 10:00 A.M. After the program join our Veterans for light refreshments and fellowship time. Police K-9 visits PASS The Wilcox County PASS program had an unusual visitor in September. On September 18th the Rochelle Police Department Chief of Police, Micky Barfield and Lt. Robbie Green presented the drug dog, Grizz, to the Middle/High students. They also visited Wilcox County Elementary on September 23. Each day Lt. Green explained that Grizz was born and raised in the Netherlands and described how they became a team. Before the dog was brought in, a drug was hidden in the gym and Lt. Green demonstrated how Grizz is trained to find the substance. He also showed how Grizz receives his “reward” when he finds the drugs. Lt.
