Ethredge To Wed Young Marlen and Michelle Ethredge of Mt. Vernon announce the engagement of their daughter, Macy Ethredge to Chase Young, son of Craig and Lynn Young of Rochelle. Macy's grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Walton of Vidalia, Ms. Pharis Davis of Mount Vernon, and Ms. Janice Ethredge and the late James Ethredge of Mount Vernon. Young's grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Gibbs of Rochelle and Ms. Nell Young and the late Milford Young of Anniston, Alabama. He is the great-grandson of Eloise (Wee) Agerton of Rochelle. Macy is a 2011 honor graduate of Montgomery County High School. Macy is presently a senior at Valdosta State University pursuing a degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Chase is a 2009 graduate of Bleckley County High School. Chase is currently a senior at Valdosta State University pursuing a degree in Health and Physical Education. He is currently the community baseball coach for Valdosta High School. The wedding will be held at Stanley Lodge in Lyons, Georgia on Saturday, November 22, at 5:00 in the evening. Veteran’s Day Program On November 11, 2014, Wilcox County High School will hold a special program in observance of Veteran’s Day. This observance has become a tradition in Wilcox County as we remember and honor all who have served in our Armed Forces. We take pride in our program to salute Veterans, and we have had extraordinary community support through the years. Our JROTC will be featured on the program along with a guest speaker and special music provided by WCHS students.
