Bodoni was designed by Giambattista Bodoni late in the 1700's. It is a serif typeface, recognized by its characteristic contrast in stroke weights. Inspired by his predecessor, John Baskerville, who he admired very greatly, Bodoni built upon the traditional serif typeface and modernized it for the coming century. Bodoni was popular at the time of its conception (Bodoni's printing press using the typeface exclusively) and has found a recent resurgence in popularity with

Vogue magazine covers, the Nirvana band logo, and Calvin Klein collateral. Zap no was designed in 1998 by German calligrapher Hermann Zapf. It is a script typeface characterized by its signature grand, sweeping swashes and numerous letter glyph variations. e typeface is based on Zapf's very own calligraphy. In fact, he attempted to construct the typeface in the late 1940's, but the technology available to him at the time was not able to accommodate the large swashes he desired. It wasn't until the digital age that Zapf was able to bring his vision to fruition with all of its great ourishes and many letter variations. Also known as Helvetica, Neue Haas Grotesk is perhaps the most popular sans serif typeface around the world. It was created in the 1957 by Swiss designer Max Miedinger. As the name would suggest, Neue Hass Grotesk is a neo-grotesque typeface, meaning it was in uenced by Swiss and German designs of the late 19th century. It has over 20 font variations ranging from ultra thin to black. Today, Helvetica is the voice of many well-known establishments such as Jeep, Toyota, JC Penny, Starbucks, Target, Microsoft and the entire New York subway system.
