I contributed to TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity in 2023 as the Director of Design. My responsibilities included overseeing and participating in the creation of visual assets such as posters, programs, and animated videos. I also communicated with our printing sponsor to produce physical media (flyers, stage elements, badges, etc.) for our Main Event. Overall, this was a challenging but fulfilling opportunity, and it helped me develop my leadership and project management skills a great deal.
Canyon Creative Motion Graphics Work
For the academic year of 2022-2023, I contributed to Canyon Creative, a student-run design agency, as a Motion Design Director. I have worked on an assortment of projects throughout my time here, and it has allowed me to work through a number of static and animated design problems. Scan the QR code to see the reel I constructed of mine and my colleagues’ work.

The Banana Peel Animated Short
This project was created to showcase my ability to create and work with 2D character rigs for storytelling purposes. The story follows an old man who discards a banana peel in a trash can, which happens to be the home of a disgruntled raccoon.

Animated Infographic
This was a project created with the intention of educating the public on the history behind the first sans serif typeface. The process showcases vector animation with an emphasis on accurate but visually interesting storytelling.

GAMMA: 2090
This was a title sequence made with the goal of emulating Saul Bass timing and aesthetics. In this sequence, I conceptualized a fictional sci-fi city which houses a seedy underground economy dealing in explosive ammunition. This leads to out-of-control crimes, and the detectives and police department are on a mission to discover and apprehend the key distributors of the ammo.

Dystopian Corner Store
This isometric interior project was created primarily with Blender and Substance Painter. The main goal was to model a dystopian themed interior for mid-range application in a video game environment. This means careful considerations were made to ensure the set is visually appealing from afar, while still saving resources by employing low-poly modeling strategies.

Handgun Hard Surface Model
The goal of this project was to model a close-range rendition of a weapon using realism. Through the creation process, it was my aim to work with limited geometry while still achieving a believable sillouhette. As such, most superficial details which do not affect the silhouette would be handled in the texturing process.
Fantasy Treasure Chest
This project involved the creation of an assortment of low-poly models which were to be used and applied in a video game environment. The theming was fantasyrelated, and featured a painterly style. As such, this texture worked primarily within base color layers, so the lights and shadows were painted in manually.
Miscellaneous Figure Studies
Below are miscellaneous studies I have worked on within the past 12 months. Each study ranges between 10-30 minutes for every 5 figures. The goal when working on these was understanding the basic forms of the human figure, and how the body sits in space.
French Tour Poster
The goal of this project was to capture the style of Jules Cherét and his early French lithographic posters. This poster adapts the French style to modern singer Billie Eilish, providing a new angle to her unique brand.
Cold Front
This project is a proof-of-concept independent short film I conceptualized and animated on my own. It features one primary unnamed character who is traveling in a dystopian future, on a path to flee America in pursuit of civilization, which is rumored to be rebuilding in Canada.
