Empotere Nations is a humanitarian relief organization who has been at work globally for the last eighty years. They partner with local churches and communities to develop sustainable and locally driven solutions to some of the world’s greatest problems. They focus on disasters, extreme poverty, war, refugees, and displaced people.
Empotere Nations is constantly finding innovative ways to strategically fundraise for their campaigns. This year they are launching an ecommerce website selling pottery and other hand-crafted items. Everything is being imported to the USA straight from their partners and friends around the world. They need a new logo design, refreshed color palette, website, and social media posts. All proceeds go toward humanitarian campaigns.

rocco’s pizza
Rocco’s Pizza has been in Positano, Italy for decades. Their branding was old and they didn’t stand out from the hundreds of other pizza shops around Italy. Rocco’s Pizza asked for a rebrand with the goal of appealing to a younger demographic and attracting more American tourists. Positano is a popular city for travel and many University students choose to study abroad here. With a modern and bright branding, Rocco’s Pizza will gain considerable attraction.

Japan has officially made the annual World Surf League Tour. Right after Gold Coast, Queensland the world’s best surfers will be competing on Enoshima Beach. Rip Curl is sponsoring this event. The World Surf League needed everything from a logo to merch. They asked for the branding to incorporate aspects of Japanese culture & of course surfing!

Child marriage is a deeply devastating reality impacting girls all around the world today. World Vision, a humanitarian organization, is working to fight against this injustice. World Vision needed a poster to raise awareness for child-brides. They asked for all illustrations to be hand-drawn. This poster is now featured in multiple magazines.
olo surf hotEl
Olo Surf Hotel attracts many tourists, especially when the swell is firing. Located in Casa Blanca Morocco, surfers travel from all over to stay here. Olo Surf Hotel values sustainability and clean living. They reached out asking for an updated logo as well as custom packaging for their hand-made soaps. All the bathrooms are stocked with these hand-crafted bars and travelers can purchase their own from the Olo Surf Shop (located outside the Lobby).
Global outrEach
Global Outreach reaches local communities in the Phoenix area. Every week GCU students are given the opportunity to engage with children and families who have relocated here from other countries. Students gain a wider perspective of the world and other cultures while also serving and befriending their neighbors. Each week I photographed different outreach events.
