Ender’s Game
Book Cover Redesign
Considered one of the best original examples of the science fiction genre, Ender’s Game is a classic when it comes to space-based storytelling. A tale of a singular hero battling both competition and personal morals to succeed and achieve his true purpose. So how does one design a new special edition cover for an all-time fan favorite? The main goal of the approach was to be minimalistic, in contrast with the book’s original cover design when first published. Also incorporating more symbolic and meaningful imagery relevant to the actual story in the cover design. The concept of being ‘black n white’ as well as the use of the ‘two cups’ imagery represents a big part of the book’s themes and ethics related elements.

Cookie’s Confections
Branding, Product, and Truck Design
Food trucks are an excellent way to advertise one’s business. Not only does the truck itself serve as a moving piece of advertising, but the product and stationery carried by customers also serve as pieces of advertising. Cookie’s Confections is branching off from their original in-house partner, seeking a new branded look and a matching food truck design. The main goal of this approach was to combat the stigma that most regular consumers hold towards food trucks. Many perceive a food truck to be “fast food-ish”, having a lower quality when it comes to the food they serve. Instead, the main purpose of this branding was to reflect the idea of being ‘Homemade’.
